Hey Syntac. Can you please make an channel for questions and there you explain some things that you did in the video. An example pt1: explain out of the video. Pt2: an question from some one. Pt3: something you previously found hard to learn but can now. You can promote the channel on your main channel and via an QR code. I came up with this bc. I watch you videos to learn, they are so easy to follow. But sometimes it is really hard.
Snap the walls from the upper plat and run them through the bottom of the bottom plate and put 0 walls on the bottom plate. It will look alright. And kinda provide your base with what looks lights as your floor trim
Syntac “I’m okay with the platform being not lined up” Narrator “Syntac was not okay and was burning on the inside like a volcano. A lot of nights were sleepless after the platform build. Will he ever be the same? No one knows.”
Fun fact: Tall buildings (Skyscrapers) often sway in the breeze as well. It quite disconcerting when you are at the upper floors and can actually notice it. Also love the videos! Keep up the great work!
Yes, Redwood and Giant Sequoia trees definitely sway considerably. I've seen them move as much as 25 ft near the top. It's a very very strange experience to be up there when a strong gust of wind hits.
Kind of a weird little thought, the railings are feeling very jurassic park-esque, I really like the vibe they're giving off-might try to use the same thing in ASE with some building shenanigans.
I gotta say, I really love how the railings act now, you can give your builds the illusion of a fancy window without the need of greenhouse walls/windows, it's really cool, can't wait to finally dive into this game
Damn the way the metal fences come together looks so good! Giving me huge jurassic park vibes from the fences they had there, Syn really outdid himself this time!
That's the first time I've heard a tree platform referred to as a pizza, and I didn't expect it to come from an Irishman lol, sounds like something you'd hear from an Italian 😅
Fun fact (thank you, Google and National Geographic): Redwoods, despite being able to grow hundreds of feet tall, actually have a comparatively shallow root system, only growing a maximum of 3 meters (9.8 feet) deep. So, redwoods do, in fact, sway dramatically during windstorms.
I had a thyla fly perfectly horizontally from like 2 trees over and grab me. I saw it and thought “there’s no way that can get me”. It most definitely could and did. lol
What's kind of funny is that building method with using the doorways and the railings is actually something I've done in Conan Exiles for awhile with the building. It's great you can do it in ARK now!
there should be an option to lock construction so you can't accidentally pick it up or demolish it. You could unlock it at any time, but you'd have to unlock it then pick it up, rather than just pick it up.
The talk about windows in this video reminded me that I really wish we had horizontally wider windows, preferably being almost as wide as the openings of double doorways.
I always feel like living in the redwoods can only be safely done in the super mid-late to late game. I feel like the platforms just take so many resources and then the constant need for protection is intimidating 😂
Hey, Great video as always!! I have a suggestion for the taming pen. You can build a walkway on top of the pens similar to the velociraptor paddock in the Jurassic World movie, that way you can comfortably tame the creatures inside it without have to lure them to the doors.
FYI if you put a pillar on one of the joint edges you can than put foundations an they will will be sunken to the plat floor lvl. So for treehouses it has helped so much
I have picked up a number of platforms in my time. I never thought about the damage trick and now I’m embarrassed at the number of times I’ve started a base from scratch because of it
The platforms may technically have a front and back? Maybe try deploying both at the same time? That way you can get both in the same orientation. It's also possible the snap point is swaying with the tree until your platform hits it, then, then locks in.
That's the exact tree I started my base build on lol. I'm using the surrounding trees as breeding areas and have bridges going across to each platform. It's a really nice spot
for the platforms, you can build down from the top platform with large walls (just faster) to allign them, the only issue is that the lower one is a little bit larger maybe because the tree is larger going down to the base. For the allignment its better if you go down with the walls in the gap of the slice, like you showed where you can now put foundations. If you want to rebuild everything ofc :D
The plats won't snap together. But if you just build walls down from the upper one it will look alright and it will have a proper circle around. And the only cracks you will have are the floor corners
In your smithy, there’s a gift, a gift from who, you may ask, the one that rule all dodos, find his note with a gift that you truly earned. With his gift, you may have a creature that can rival the best of gigas. Tried to make a treasure map mixed with a poem because someone gave you something
Rex cannot go over a 1high wall from what I've seen And yea, anything (swaying) is basically why it doesn't break. A 40 floor skyscrapper sway about 2 feet around during high wind. If it was purely rigid, the materials wouldn't be able to absorb the lateral force as easily. Same with bridges, they (bend) to help absorb the downward force. I live in Montreal, Quebec. And one thing I experienced a lot was going to see fireworks from the Jacques-Cartier bridge. Once they are over and people start walking back to their car, you can easily feel the movement of the bridge.
the platforms have 12 sections. with how big they are, its probably easily possible to have 3 sections per pen with one empty space in between, so its 3 pens in total. or maybe just 2 sections per pen and have 4 in total.
Should have emptied his inventory at the tree base, fast traveled home, grabbed everything he needed, and flown an argey back. Then he’d have a spare at the tree base.
@@onyxthecookie5885 Yep, saw someone try it and it doesn't work. So you can't do the whole "mobile storage" thing when taming or PvP. Even worse, if you get attacked and your strongest dinosaurs are in your Cryofridge and there are enemies IN the Cryofridge area (I believe it was around 11 foundations in terms of area) then you can't even send out your dinosaurs. Enemies in that circle block you from using cryopods. It sucks man, it really sucks. At this rate ASE is better.
Why don`t you intersect the first half into 2 sections and build your base part on the other half? So you have everything on one level and don`t need to build sooo much for the not needed 2nd massive taming pen.
cause syntac has no respect for his own time and schedule and always underestimate how much space he needs, at least that's what I've noticed while watching his vids 😂 his bases usually look cool af tho
you may want to recover that plateform as soon as possible to not remove it like I did 2 days ago on the snow U start with squares all around and fit triangle ceiling it need to be starting on the outside and attached to a wall to recover all around all plateform
Only recently found out why I can't pick up wild dino's and it is because I play on PVE settings......after years of playing and thinking that I am just not good enough with the click on the animals and giving up on trying, lol. Kinda makes me feel better because I have been doing taming the "hard" way and became quite successful with it.

Red wood trees sway more than that btw, when it is windy.
Pls galli mutations
Let's see some platform on other trees, maybe with some more taming pens/ crafting things, connected with bridges
Syntac “I’m okay with the platform being not lined up”
Narrator “Syntac was not okay and was burning on the inside like a volcano. A lot of nights were sleepless after the platform build. Will he ever be the same? No one knows.”

hhahaha that would be a great ideea to pick them up and put them there
And make them breed with some dinos
ayo wtf

Yes, Redwood and Giant Sequoia trees definitely sway considerably. I've seen them move as much as 25 ft near the top. It's a very very strange experience to be up there when a strong gust of wind hits.
I used to climb trees for a living. The swaying definitely takes some getting used to.
No messing around or intro, straight into the business I like it sir.👌🏻

From living in Redwood trees I can say with absolute confidence: "Redwood trees sway a LOT, very flexible. Its like being in a slighty stormy sea."
Always nice to see a syntac video!
Side note: The coloration on that paracer at 28:10 is really amazing. It makes it look like it's being under-lit with a radioactive green light.
It is but I'm pretty sure those are event colors
I lived not far from a redwood forest here in Canada. They sway like crazy. A medium wind will move the whole forest. It's fun to watch
20:40 how it looks makes me think jurrasic world enclosures. Super cool build Syntac
I really enjoy watching your building process and videos Syntac!
Looks awesome! Also you could keep some high level frogs and gas masks here and run the cave close by for tons of cementing paste and chitin
I’m convinced Synac is just an alien come to earth to produce infinite content
The turkey chibi just staring at the Thyla as you shot it took me out 😂
I browsed the comments and didn't notice anyone mention that Axe left a note in your smithy along with a gift. Have a good day sir.

Axe left you a gift in your smithy.
The talk about windows in this video reminded me that I really wish we had horizontally wider windows, preferably being almost as wide as the openings of double doorways.
The trees would sway like that. But also, on really windy days even the sturdiest bridges with similar structure beams would sway even more
I always feel like living in the redwoods can only be safely done in the super mid-late to late game. I feel like the platforms just take so many resources and then the constant need for protection is intimidating 😂
@Syntac Don't get rid of the tree at 21:37 - it gives the whole thing a more organic look (at least from that angle).

One major setback, babys teleport back to their parents, you can't really grab the baby, put in a box and then go back to the parent....
found that one after taking the same baby 3 or 4 times to my taming box to realize they were the same one...
Absolutely love the build. Seems like the perfect spot for it too.
Straight in the BEEZNESS MY FRIEND
Pls upload more ASA i really enjoy them
Syntac one of your genius builds, I have seen you do gratz good job you get a A+

Fantastic build Sir!!!
When I build a taming pen, it looks like a hot mess. Syntac knows exactly how to make something beautiful!!!
It could have a one ceiling wide rim against the trunk to climb up to and shoot down from in the case of it being in a blind spot?
You could make a kibble farm on the lower platform, that way you just always have kibble near your taming pen.
You should line the top with catwalks so you can shoot from the high ground lol
Should have emptied his inventory at the tree base, fast traveled home, grabbed everything he needed, and flown an argey back. Then he’d have a spare at the tree base.
Nice redwood treehouse taming build!
I think a spiral as a tree base would look pretty cool
Can't wait to see you get on the dwarfen build mod. Very costly build but the details, pillars and rails I know you will enjoy
Would a behemoth gate be too large in the middle? (To section off when taming smaller creatures) (ive never really tried building on a tree platforms)
Though it wouldn't fit in that much you could build benches to stand on so you could shoot through the railings
1 wall and a railing is high enough to trap a rex, and I can't wait for you to find out how much Rhynios suck now with the carry speed nerf.
Sway and creak , very unsettling at times lol
Hey Syntac, happy holidays
Syntac tame tapezara even if it's low level so it's easier for you to build stuff.
Great idea🙌
If you think reedwood trees sway by a huge amount you should take a look at how much skyscrapers can sway
i think taming a rhynio is next in line so u can make ur insane army and drop rexes on axe in aggressive mode
You could build walls downwards and then place cellings from the walls so it makes a new floor and then it’s in line?
You can't put Cryofridges on platform saddles, so... Cryopods are absolutely useless now. Long live Dinostorage V2!
wait rly? omg that sucks, having like a quetz with a cryofridge would've been so cool 😑

It looks like the Jurassic park pens. 👍🏼
Better health better stamina better melee better ingredients better pizza papa johns😂
Looks mint dude
@Syntac you are a gracious God, thank you 🙏
“Look at how thick that thing is”💀
And if you had a rhynio to put a rex in, you could use the rhynio to take the rex out again, so no gate or cryopods needed
I've learned that the top of trees are smaller than base "normal tree ways" so line up is harder
When he is quiet he always finds high levels
I'm building with cement and metal and the amount of railing. I know that grind sir massive respect 😂
One question: Is all of you’re ascended stuff found in drops or where did you get that from

Maybe you could build a treehouse with tree platforms in the redwoods.
I might have missed it. But hey SYNTAC have you seen the new world boss??? Its a giant flying scorpian thing
I really like your videos man you I watch them all the
maybe you can keep one big pen like the one you built and on the other side you can build two medium sized pens
you may want to recover that plateform as soon as possible to not remove it like I did 2 days ago on the snow U start with squares all around and fit triangle ceiling it need to be starting on the outside and attached to a wall to recover all around all plateform
