A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I discontinued wearing hair ties because it leds to tension breakage. (2) I started massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Protecting my head while moving out to protect my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

I've been using this Cocoonioon shampoo over the last 5 months. Some shampoos make the scalp dry and itchy, but I didn’t experience that with this one. Hair loss has reduced somewhat. Overall, it’s a good product.

I just see it as a #tailbonelengthchallenge .... change your perspective. Make it fun and beautiful. Your mindset is the only thing blocking you from enjoying the journey. We don't have a sob story. We have an opportunity to show the most self love, the most creativity, the most resilience. African hair follicles are oval and that shape needs the most care. Fragile, yes. It is what it is. I am in a growth challenge of wearing zero braid hair or crochets. I change up my cornrows but all I do most days is wear headwraps, u-part wigs, or faux bangs for zoom. I've been consistent for 2 years. I have 3 more years to go and I hope to be swinging my hair down to my butt while listening to similar complaints. We are the lucky ones because it's an opportunity to delve into the sciences about our hair, play with sexy accessories, and once we reach our goal be the most exotic thing in the room.. Don't let "them" trick you into rushing the process. A little sacrifice now will pay off later!

No rhyme or reason why it started. The only one of your tips that worked for me was handling the hair with leave-in but not any leave-in, an anti-hair loss one. Took approx. 5 weeks to stop the excessive shedding and my hair is rebounding nicely even though it's on the thin side for now. Like you, I want to encourage everyone to find what works for them. Ive been following your videos and decided to relax my hair after 6 years of being natural. Ive had my hair in protective styles for 3 months at a time and have seen really good growth. I didnt think my hair could grow past certain length. You are so right about low manipulation! Ive seen results. Ive now noticed breakage despite careful take down etc and I believe ive stretched my relaxer too long. 7 months at this point. The relaxed hair is breaking off so in future il consider re-touching the new growth at say 4/5 months. I was planning to stretch to 1 year but I realise it is causing breakage for me. You are right about not over stretching the relaxer too. Love your chanel.

I have a question. If I relaxed my naturally thick 4b/4c afro am I able to cut it in a month or two? Or would I have to leave the relaxed hair in for a while and trim it every few weeks?

If I don't wet my hair and comb, I experience breakage

She’s saying you shouldn’t comb it when it’s dripping wet. She also mentioned that you shouldn’t comb your hair when it’s so dry that it has no product or moisture in it because that also leads to breakage

But that is manipulating your hair again, which from the into you provided, causes more breakage. I trust the info you provide in your videos so I’m hoping you can do a video on that. Thanks much!

My old hair stylist used to drag the brush through my hair when it was wet and my hair used to come out a lot. I wonder whether she likes long hair? Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I look forward to watching your other videos.

I had been on the hunt using Elastsa QP, Motions, Silk Elements, Mane Choice, Mizani you name it! None of them worked on my low porosity 4C matte prone new growth. Thank you Thank you!!!
Did anybody use Softsheen Carson Optimum Nourishing creme in the 90's before it was discontinued? It was great!! My hair was never the same after I could no longer find it in stock. I've learned if a product works buy it in bulk!

Hey, i just want to ask a question. I like to have my hair out most of the time, i hardly ever have in protective styles. I therefore relax my hair approximately every 2 months sometimes after a month and half and by that time the new growth gets extremely hard to a point where i literally can not run a bomb through it. Is it normal? If not, is there a way that i can atleast keep it a little soft so that i can atleast comb it? I don't know if it's also because i dont wash it during that 2 months (between my relaxing appointments) can you also advice me on how often i should wash it?

Seun talks about using QRS olive oil lotion. That was a game changer for the manageability of my new growth. I would use the moisturizer first then seal with Jamaican castor oil mixed with a lighter hair oil.

It's completely normal to lose a lot of hair after protective styles especially if you leave them in for a long time because you lose about 100 strands of hair a day so when have protective styles in for weeks or months all that sheded hair is just sitting on your head so when you take them out you may see a lot of shedding I don't think you have anything to worry about unless your losing so much to were it's not normal
