So Riven survived a gas attack, got horrified, went to Yasuo's elder to destroy the blade, but the blade ended going all super nova, killing the elder as well as the village. Okay, not bad. Not bad at all.
Events of a war, of the frontline, would break even the strongest minds. Breaking you, haunting you... But to witness something thats far worse than death, and to be the sole survivor of the said event. Saying that you are still alive, would be too far from the actual truth... People read these champ lores and would say that their personality are too weak or the sort, yet they don't try to understand the severity of their situation, since none are able to cope with familiarity of their story with their own life thus far.
i like this alot! so Elder Somas death was an accident he wasn't murdered well that solves the mystery. Yasuo is being an anime edgy protagonist and won't forgive himself for abandoning his post all in all a great story!
To be frank I dont find it edgy at all. How would you feel if you killed your brother in self defense only to find out that the murder in question did it on accident? Hell I have a younger brother myself and if I did the same thing I wouldent be able to forgive myself
Batman its becauze riven didnt technically kill souma. Souma accidentally killed himself if you think about it. He tried to break rivens blade with a wind technique and did so but a part flew off the blade for some reason (yasuo recreated this in the fight) and it shot at neck height towards souma. Thats also what her ultimate (2nd cast) is.
This ended better than I thought! Yasuo was the one to make Riven realize she needed to live to atone for her sins!! Ugh! I hope they meet in the future!
Bringbleachback Well for this yes. But killing your own brother and friends just to know at the end it was all an accident .. isnt that enough? + he had good intentions when he left the master not bad
Кристиян Григоров yeah but duty is duty. And a innocent guy lost his life bcs of him. The poor guy even died trying to help someone. Even if it was an accident tbat only means he doesnt have to avenge him nothing else.
Finally we get the conclusion tothis chapter of Yasuo and Riven's story. So glad to know what happened now, and that there is redemption of different kinds in store for these two. Hopefully some time in the future we see a Riven living happily with her family, working hard and having a peaceful existence for once.
Though he is also providing animations and everything to go along with the lore, and he is also providing some voice actors, which in turn brings more vivid life to the lore, hence forth making it easier to understand/get. There is more to all of his videos than just the research, which in of itself is an accomplishment to be able to get all the informations and nearly memorize the justice book and not just the new lore site. BTW, this video is just a small part of lore, when i said lore i meant his lore videos in general. So, just shut up and take a back seat because you obviously don't know what your saying #Tesla-Effect.
Yo that was sooooo good! Especially 2 help forget all the stupid and frustrating complication in my life, that helped so much, thanks necrit 4 having this story on ur channel, and thanks 4 being such a sick, chill, and nice dude
Yasuo's master, at Riven's request, attempted to break Riven's blade. However, upon doing so, the Noxian blade lashed out with its dark magic, and killed the Elder as a result. The effect would have been similar to how it exploded when it was put back together.
except its more than that, a chance for Riven to come to terms with what she had done, and to forgive herself...The judge of course, told yasuo he should do the same as Riven - hense why the judge gave Riven the sentence of "community service" rather than execution. she understood what Riven was going through. this is why Ionians are great, every other nation would have executed Riven on the spot.
Wow that was mind blowing. Although this story was heavily based on the events after Riven's survival of the devastating gas attack and her memories being slowly regained I still am amazed about Yasuo's appearance and his final decision not to kill her. Also quite sad that Yasuo couldn't forgive himself, although the judge seemed to pardon his supposed crime. Nice narration, have a like and sub!
Can you imagine the pain and guilt he feels after these events? Killing your own people, childhood friends and your brother just to see in the end that it was all accident.
@@HamsterPants522 Yeah its just sad. I would like to see a redemption story for Yasuo including his actions in the Awaken trailer. Something like he was depressed during this whole time but when he saw noxians attacking the village something inside him burned. He finally forgive himself and got a new mission. To safe his people. He went straight through the massacre and unleashed a tornado full of hatred against those who attack his nation. The tornado could also be a symbolism of his collected pain and guilty unleashed against the noxians.
@@kristiyangrigorov5232 That's the sappiest shit I've ever heard, my dude. To be honest with you, Yasuo doesn't really strike me as a patriot, he's more of an egoist.
@@HamsterPants522 yeah he was egoist before now he mustve learned a thing or two from his mistakes. But he left his master because he wanted to help his people succeed. He had the arrogance he tought that he can make a change in the battlefield but imo he is a different man now.
WE FINALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I like how Riven and Yasuo’s final climactic battle ended, with Ionian understanding and not Noxian violence.
Its a good fucking ending to Riven, but how is Yasuo? Would he will still be hunted down by his comrades or would he face all his trial? Fuck me, now I want more.
Jackie Freekill I feel like he’ll go off on his own for a bit, to think. And once he’s accepted this and forgives himself he will return. How long this will take? I am not certain of
These stories were wonderful and I'm glad we finally know what exactly happened with Yasuo's master. Your narrative skills plus a well written story in this universe makes it perfect. It's been long since I'm subscribed and yet this story is on match with Camille and Viktor's one, they are to me the best stories they ever made. Keep on necrit I love your channel! And good job to Riot and especially this writer, wonderful job.
I relate to Riven so much after reading her full character lore. I was a naive, proud girl, who didn't care about anything else but of what I wanted; a recognition from people whom I care, whom I thought really loved me and know me well. My naivety betrayed me, it brought me back to reality, that I was chasing of something that doesn't exist, I was lost in my own search for what I thought could give me happiness and got depressed of the times I wasted chasing a stupid fantasy so unrealistic. I was diagnosed with Major Anxiety Disorder 2 months ago and this kinda of a way to tell me I was not living the fantasy, it brought me back to reality. Reality of what I wanted is not always what I needed. I can say me and Riven are currently in the path of redemption.
hmmmmmm.....so after riven accidentally killed elder souma she got punished by uhhh...helping the village?then what yasuo is still like being haunted by his past and his comrades ._. i would want to see another story where yasuo finally forgives himself and tries to get back to ionia
I loved the shit out of this. Damn, what an excellently written story. Great video Necrit. I really hope Riot will give you an opportunity like this again. The lore is spectacular, and it's great that you are so passionate about it as well
This makes me so happy! For some weird reason I find comfort, closure, peace from this! What amazing story telling from Riot Games! People might hate these champions in game, but you can't hate their story, you can't hate their character! This story shows that there's always hope. There's always a light in darkness. You just have to allow yourself to find it. Beautiful story telling Necrit Thank You :)
Interesting yet amazing story for riven and yasuo....trying to destroy a weapon that goes super nova and kills the master...leaving riven and yasuo with a difficult burden. All this time i saw riven as a killer with cold blood but she is actually ok :D
I love that league is making strides to give us a look into the lol universe. I'm a lore guy so this stuff is like almost as good as winning a ranked game. Thanks necrit for making these. It's a lot easier to get immersed than reading by myself sometimes. Keep up the amazing work and GET DEM PATREONS TO VOICE CHARACTERS!!! I garuntee they'd love to do it!
I hope Riot someday invites you to officially narrate lore for them. I've been following since ~60k subs. You're doing great and your dedication is authentic.
So, Elder Souma was approached by Riven when Yasuo was not around so Riven could ask Master Souma to shatter the one thing that links her to her regretful past. Master Souma tried doing it but Riven's runic blade blew up and Master Souma died in the accident of the explosion. Finally, the mystery was solved. I love Riven's ending so much too. True, she nows lives a life of hard labor but she has already been doing such things with the elderly couple who adopted her and she couldn't be any more happier.
Was this the final part or is there more?? I do hope something about Yasuo and his redemtion in the eyes of the people is written aswell. Since he is still not really guilty of his masters death. But is for his brother's. I hope he to gets a way to redeem himself like Riven did.
nikizbakable u know yasuo had to protect the elder he left him and he died. He was still responsible for his death since his 1 job was to protect him .
Yasuo was an apprentice to Elder Souma, and thus responsible for aiding him in what he does. Back then, Yasuo was extremely prideful and often did his own thing, thinking himself better than menial tasks. Yasuo, being adept with the same arts his master was, had the ability to easily save him from dying, but instead was off shirking his duties. Yasuo cannot forgive himself because it was his own selfish arrogance and pride that lead to his masters death and shattered the community. By not being present with his master, as he should have been to begin with, Yasuo feels he might have well killed his master with his own hands. So in that sense, by not being there to protect his master he is just as guilty, if not more so, of his master's death.
I love how a story in league finally concluded. My main problem with the overall lore in lol is that many stories set up a character, just to cut off before any climax (such as the tension in shirima). I'm happy since we have been waiting nearly 5 years since we knew about the inevitable encounter between yasuo and riven.
Rito stepping up their lore game. And with Necrit telling it, what more could you ask for? I just hope that when they do decide to make a movie or a series or a series of movies, they would cast Necrit as the narrator
Another mystery put to rest, another piece of the lore put with the rest of the pieces as the lore awaits to be completed, like the puzzle itself. The writer did an amazing job at making this, because this had changed my view of both Riven and Yasuo as characters, ESPECIALLY Riven. A sad story with a sad beggining coming out with a happy ending. Now that's something nice to see indeed. Thanks Riot for making this and thanks Necrit for reading this. Cheers.
I was hoping riven would say "I want to live" but this is fine too; I shed a tear to riven finally accepting life and finally belonging to a family; and yasuo who has finally solved the murder of his master and the realization that he needed to forgive himself for his mistakes.
Its seems the unforgiven is a title given because he cannot forgive himself despite seemingly wanting to forgive her. And her who wanted home only to be given to her by a past enemy huh.
Riven's story is not finished, she has found peace for herself. However, Yasuo's story isn't done yet, they might write lore for him and HOLY SHIT what if they then finish off Yasuo's lore and then rework him tying in his rework and new lore together. I'd call that bad ass tbh
So.. Is Yasuo still just stuck roaming the lands, hated by everyone, or will the news of Riven's confession spread and people will maybe understand or forgive him? I'm really curious about the aftermath of all of this for him.
So it is confirmed that Riven is the "killer" I was one of those who believe Riven was not the killer because the place she was at when Singed attack her with gas doesn't sounds like near wherever the Elder is at. According to this story, that may happen at the early opening of Noxus-Ionia war, and its probably weeks passed which allow her to went to the elder's place. Whats weird is that, how could the others have no knowledge about her and instead blame Yasuo at first? its as if she can meet with the elder secretly without any formalities...Anyway ignoring that part, the story is pretty well written despite the ending is quite lackluster. If anything, this gives Yasuo x Riven ship a better chance XD.... So is Yasuo finally forgiven now?...
Didn't forgive himself for leaving his post, which led to the death of his master, two former comrades, and his own brother, Yone. So he is still unforgiven.
Spoilers!!!! Again to all those who got bored watching the video or reading it in the universe, heres what happened: riven and yasuo fight but then its is revealed that riven unintentionally killed the elder so yasuo felt guilt and leave, riven instead us punished of seeked redemption in which she gladly obliged And where the hell yasuo go??
holy. sacred. vagina Yasuo will remain who he is and plus i realized that he is a ronin meaning a samurai without a master, just some info that i found out that i forgot to mention to myself before XD
I know that Riven is happy to work for the village in order to atone "her crimes" but how is that fair? she is sent to war, to die as bait against the Ionians resulting in her getting traumatized, she reaches for help and the elder mess up big times resulting in killing himself and the other elders. how is she guilty? and Yasuo, how can he be responsible for his elder killing himself by accident? they are just being blamed for the mistakes of others... the story was great but is unfair the resulting judgment, the judge should have said the truth to everybody in the village instead of securing free works
“It will be a punishment of hard labor,” the judge announced. “Starting with the fields of Master and Mistress Konte.”
*starts crying*

As long as he has voice actors for the characters.
And now for the countdown; Necrit!

So basically, Yasuo's master was trying to break Riven's blade but shit exploded like when pieces were put back together, and that's how he died?
He attacked it with wind magic and it reflected the wind magic
So he died with wind magic
The summoner using Yasou's master is just bronze V not realizing he's down to 4% hp before the blade exploded, that's why he died.
Solrac Razalas didnt use windwall

I was hoping riven would say "I want to live" but this is fine too; I shed a tear to riven finally accepting life and finally belonging to a family; and yasuo who has finally solved the murder of his master and the realization that he needed to forgive himself for his mistakes.
So the magic sword exploded, and a shard killed a figure of power? Sounds like the opening to Fire Emblem: Fates.
Been amazing waking up to these
Damn the stories are soo intense....
If done right. This could be turn into a fully pledge movie. The story is just amazing
These are soo fucking good
I cried it was beautiful how riven is now forgiven
I don't ship Yasuo and Riven, but I will say, this story made me fall in love with Riven's character just that much more.
Riven is best waifu.
Such a good trio of videos
Two cancer characters meet each other. They fight. Looks like they aren’t so different. But seriously, this story is brilliant
Its seems the unforgiven is a title given because he cannot forgive himself despite seemingly wanting to forgive her.
And her who wanted home only to be given to her by a past enemy huh.
It's been years since the last time i cried with a story.
WE NEED A MOVIE!!!
OK. Riven is now my favourite champ in lore.
So it is confirmed that Riven is the "killer"
I was one of those who believe Riven was not the killer because the place she was at when Singed attack her with gas doesn't sounds like near wherever the Elder is at.
So he is still unforgiven.
good choice with throne of thunder music
By far the best lore !!!
Spoilers!!!!
Again to all those who got bored watching the video or reading it in the universe, heres what happened: riven and yasuo fight but then its is revealed that riven unintentionally killed the elder so yasuo felt guilt and leave, riven instead us punished of seeked redemption in which she gladly obliged
And where the hell yasuo go??
holy. sacred. vagina still the same life he still kill his brother so basically he still won't forgive himself
van josh he must surrender
holy. sacred. vagina Yasuo will remain who he is and plus i realized that he is a ronin meaning a samurai without a master, just some info that i found out that i forgot to mention to myself before XD
ive havent been so happy for league in a long time
The old couple, they are precious
i kinda feel like thyre will be more to this. for example the captain who brought in riven seem to know yasuo was innocent
Best story yet made by riot.
i rly like this story :) keep up the good work
I'm not crying! just some dust entering my eyes!!!
Omg the story is so beautiful :')
Loved this. Great job to riot for the new lore they have and an even bigger shout out to necrit for reading itnto me
one of the best stories Riot has made.
Yasuo is about to come forward and be enslaved next to Riven.
Best story yet!
Beautiful.
