"Gly": Thanks Jeff! I'm really happy your enjoying the show! I've been interested in mining and geology for most of my life and now that I'm retired I'm so happy to be able to do this full time and share it with the world. Although similar overall, each one of these places has there own special character and tell a story of both dreams of striking it rich as well as loosing fortunes. To me, each mine is like a time capsule just waiting to be discovered. Eventually, I will post an equipment video probably about the time I reach 10,000 subscribers so stay tuned! Take care!
@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces also I like it that you don't reveal locations so mischievous youths or other hooligans don't deface the sites with graffiti or whatever. That PVC camera rig you have is pretty impressive. Good thing you had that cable to help you up that decline, that was steep! As soon as I saw those ladders I knew Frank was gonna scramble up there lol! It'll be fun to see on his channel what he found up there. Cool mine, thanks!

Yep, filming in a mine today and it was so damp, had trouble seeing for a while, you'll see it on the video in a few weeks. Quite mesmerising watching you walk down the drift with the chest mounted camera (I assume GoPro). Ya, difference was, we could tell our mine was damp, what gave it away was the chest deep water were were walking through lol. That camera Frank carries wouldn't last 5 minutes in our wet mines. Funny enough, when you said drink a beer...I am, so I did lol. You see, to us, a mine from 1900 is a young one, as a lot of ours date back to the 1600s, we have a few roman ones around here too, yet to film them.

Another great episode GLY👍🏻 I just got back from a week of prospecting in Arizona and was wondered inside an open pit mine & I walked up a huge tailing pile. It wasn’t nothing spectacular except everything was red from the mineralization of the ground in that one area. I couldn’t find this one adit that someone told me about not far from camp. There’s so pose to be a couple of other mines in the area but didn’t have time to venture out to them, maybe next time when I head back out into the desert for some more prospecting. I also came across serval caves and this one either looked like a den or just a small cave and I was toss rocks into it from the other side of the ravine oh about 75’ away before trying to entering it. There was skat not far the edge of the ravine where I tossing them rocks. It was small and I was more worried about it being a cougar den than having rattlesnakes in it. The whole week I was out their I didn’t see 1 snake (knock on wood😂) whatsoever but seen plenty of coyotes (had them just outside my tent probably about 20 yards 2 nights in a row), wild burros, cattle and I heard that a local rancher killed a cougar a couple of days before I got to the mining camp seeing that this area is open range.
