At 6:02 is it spliced?
-There was a blip in my stream on Twitch for a reason I haven't identified. It is legit though and was recognized as such in the competition I was a part of which can be found here: armorgames.com.... I Never thought this video would get 100 views nonetheless millions so wasn't local recording.
When is more epic speedrun content?
-TH-cam has always been a fun hobby for me that I don't take seriously like a job. If I get passionate about something and it fits the theme of the channel I'll upload it here. I look forward to challenging myself to the sequel of this game here: store.steampow...
Why haven't I responded to you?
-There are thousands of comments on this video. Hundreds of them are the same curiosities. I don't have the motivation to sift through everything and handle a large community in that way. When the community is smaller it's easier. Thanks for understanding.

This is a speedrun of Give Up 2 levels 1-40. A speedrun is playing a video game as fast as possible. The only mistakes were two or three one second bobbles here and there. Otherwise flawless with the strategies used in this video!

Jay Armstrong The actual running process took probably like 9 hours collectively. The practice is really where I got good. I wasted plenty of time in the first 5 hours of runs where I had a stretch of time trying to optimize lvls 1-10 too hard. and also not practicing lvls enough, especially the last 10. So all in all practice is more important than pure runs when it comes to mastering. Today I ran for about an hour and had 3 runs almost as good as the one I got in this video. It's also interesting coming up with strategies that may or may not work. It's the equivalent of feeling the walls of a huge maze blindfolded. And it's never known what might be humanely possible to do in a single segment run and what isn't. It's fascinating really. Also Catchdown had a couple strategies in his videos that I used. Total I probably spent 16 hours on this game in the mindset of learning to speedrun it/speedrunning it.

I never imagined that this fun little speedrun would garner so much attention from you all. 100k views is an astounding statistic for someone like me who just uploaded this video for fun with no expectations onto an account with single digit subscribers (which now has 559), it doesn't seem real. Thanks for all of your interest and I have a new game that I'll be uploading to hopefully continue to entertain many of you. The platforming will be just as insane and maybe moreso. uhh actually its probably some flash glitch where you rig the timer and get a stupid time without platforming much. there probably is a joke category for giving up fast though.

The death rate was still zero, and the timer for his highscore was still on the zero death run.
Even if he did cut together two separate runs, they would both be 100% deathless and both have the exact same time...

@@sirennightshade4977 i doubt it, the counter remained at 0. why would he splice 2 different runs together when he could have just used the second vid with 0 deaths ( assuming he really spliced this run)
@@Termerpores I've been trying to figure that out. I don't understand why there would be a splice if there's a counter in the video showing time elapsed and number of deaths. There's no REASON for such a sp0lice, and even if there was, he would need two runs so remarkably similar that there's no continuity errors between them.
It's very simple, the time and death counter area never moves, and can easily be replaced with a time and death counter coming from a I-dont-move-at-level-1 run. Like that, you can cut deaths, only letting the successes without having to take care of counters.

@Pavel That's a good idea, mine as well! However I can't just yet because I haven't beaten bonus E yet. Not even kidding. I'll do some attempts of that level on my livestream in the next day or two. Will make a speedrun/walkthrough of bonus levels after that sometime. (for some reason yt didn't let me directly reply to you so this is for you)
Bonus E was the part where I gave up. Completely sadistic. Goes well beyond IWBTG tier into ... I don't even know how to describe it. It's virtually impossible.
Anachronistic Laser Beams My biggest problem is figuring out the way I'm supposed to get past the rhino part. I'm doing some overly complicated dodging for sure. And it's hard because all the moving objects and closing spikes have to "sync up just right" so when you don't know the strats it's a guessing game.
Now I need to go look at the level again >.< I'm trying to get out of this game, damn it.
Okay yeah. I mean, if it's right after the electric grid shuts off, you can probably time against the snappers with a double jump I guess? I know that in the ALL RHINOS bonus, level it was possible to jump over a rhino and then back to wait for the electricity to shut off when I was off-timing. I guess that you can probably do that here if you make sure both bats are to the left when you get to the end of the rhino platform?
Also worth noting: The bats actually turn around sooner when the third falling platform hasn't dropped yet. Maybe you need to do something with that to widen the gap between them? Probably not a useful tool, but still something that's POSSIBLY exploitable if they're getting in your way on the rhinos too often.

Charles Li I tried a speed run of this before, didn't work out so well but I HAVE finished the game. I usually fuck up at the very end though. I usually start getting deaths at around level 25 onwards. Once I have around 20 deaths I usually just give up, stand up, walk around for a bit before going back. Thing is, most people play worse when frustrated, hence when playing games like this, it's best to chillax and get into the sone. I know I misspelled the last word of the previous sentence. My 26th letter of the alphabet key is broken.

I think it's a frame drop but I am not 100% sure. Because it's not a slice since the time at the bottom and deathcounters are consistent

Assuming by the description that he streamed this. It could all be a bug when recording the video since the skipped frames could have easily accounted for the lost time in between.
