    Dude, I just got a '95 RF. It's been sitting indoors quite a few years so I'm about to dig in and tune it up. I'm excited to ride this beast. Your channel is an amazing resource for this very specific old model, Bravo! Thank you for uploading all of this content, your love of the RF is apparent and infectious. Keep it up! Subbed.

    Thanks some great ideas, I’ve got bored of usually kicking ass on my ZX14R time to pull the RF900R out again to make it harder again, still love my RF and it’s most comfortable tourer I’ve had. Cheers From NZL

    just picked up a 1998 s plate rf900r in maroon silver and black with 12.700 miles totally standard but looking to do these mods you've mentioned the power is not scary a nice smooth bike but still makes you smile my last bike was the cbr 954 I like the fact I'll ride down the road and probably not see another rf back end is still growing on me lol

    Sigma jet kits are nice in case you don't know the brand. Installed in my 97 ZX7R P2 and the kit itself was almost spot on, needing very small adjustments. Recommend

    I have the advance corrector and it feels awesome, the bike is extremely nervous and i have the feeling that it doesn't accelerate to 100 kmph but it starts at 100, just mind blowing. And the mpg is improved as well.

      That doesn’t sound right. Have you got pipe wire unplugged ? Bike should be rapid to 100kph should pull hard in all gears.

      ZeronXL sorry mate i thought you meant the bike was hesitant low down as you said was nervous. I know on mine the front gets floaty on hard acceleration below 100kph as wheel is almost floating of know what I mean.

    Disconnect the pink wire. What's its actual purpose if you can unplug it. ?.

    • @Adikxx
      @Adikxx  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi bud, Most RFs had this "limitation" as standard from the factory. ECU keeps retarding ignition timing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear which results in a tiny reduction of performance. By disconnecting the pink wire you get rid of that limitation. Difference should be felt in low and mid rpm range. Hope this helps.

    • @drsnapid
      @drsnapid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It disables the computer knowing when you're at lower speeds. Normally the bike has a low speed setting that reduces full torque presumably to prevent wheel standing. Disconnect the wire so you always have full power

    Seriously thinking about getting an RF, would one of the larger GSX/Bandit engines fit?

    • @kwakkers68
      @kwakkers68 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The RF engine is derived from the GSXR11 block - very tough, very tune-able - not
      necessary to swap. You can get monster BHP/Torque from this engine, with time and money!
      Have a look at this page:
      th-cam.com/channels/Z1dPnovSmaX60UikI9F-gg.html
      Quite a few 200bhp bikes on the market now ... but I don't think you'd need to spend 20K! :-)

    I know this video is allready 5 years old. But i wanna know if your bike (in case you still have it) runs still on E5 95 octan or 98 octan bensin? Greedings from Norway

    • @Adikxx
      @Adikxx  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep i still have it (1146cc engine though).
      Yes it will run fine on E10 95 octane gas but it's better not to let the bike sit for a long time with E10 in the fuel system as it has a tendency to degrade rubber seals and hoses. In other words, if you're constantly using the bike and burn off that fuel it will be fine. If the bike sits through winter put premium fuel in and ideally use some fuel stabiliser too.

    bonjour a tous.je possède un rf9r depuis peu et ne parlant que tres peu l anglais quelqu un pourrait il me dire de quoi il s agit dans les grandes lignes. J'ai bien compris qu'il s'agit de matériel pour améliorer les performances mais de quelle pièce en particulier svp? Merci pour votre aide.

    • @Adikxx
      @Adikxx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      salut mon pote. Les composants que vous pourriez changer pour améliorer les performances sans travail sérieux et sans tracas sont: Système d'échappement comprenant des collecteurs en acier inoxydable, filtre à air de performance, bobines d'allumage Dynatek Performance, kit de carburateur Dynojet stage 1 et allumeur SPS. Si cela ne vous dérange pas de travailler davantage, installez à froid des arbres à cames GSXR 750. Les pistons forgés à gros alésage sont chers mais offriront d'autres avantages en termes de performances.
