I agree about the ending, but in my opinion it is still the best in history. Don't forget that he played in a time when the defenders were killers and tried to break your legs, and he still proved that his skills outweighed them and wasted a lot.
Don't forget that he doesn't "just" have an amazing dribble but also an artist's control of the ball, strength and more in an extraordinary way. His passes weren't bad either. In addition to an amazing rush of thought.

Watching him gives me chills down to my spine. He had no weakness, dribbles effortlessly, goes through the defense, and they all fall like a pack of cards. An attacker that embodies his role through and through. Makes sense while he was injured frequently, he made the best of them look like amateur, as he glides past. Imagine the embarrassment they had to face. He’s incredibly talented and a thorough professional. someone said “they had to injure him, just to keep up with him”. As someone old enough to actually witness his games(on tv of course) yes that was true, many teams actually would rather take the red card and take Ronaldo out of the game and for the longer the better. In my opinion he was the goat of football, a rare talent that shows up very rarely.

I was so mad watching that on TV, we friends, family, neighbours were watching that together, in the night. Most were supporting Germany since they were like no neymar, so brasil will lose easily and I was among the few strongly supporting Brazil. Everyone trolled me after that. I didn't go to school for a week, I quarantined myself in my home.

I actually think that R9 was injured for most of, if not all of the matches where his team got eliminated from the UCL, at least in his prime anyway. Maybe he played one or two in his later years when he was already passed his best. I say this to say that if he wasn’t injured, he’d probably have at least 1UCL trophy…doesn’t matter tho, every player would trade all their UCL glory to achieve what he did in the World Cup
