Excellent question! The main objective to PVE gameplay is to beat the game by gathering artifacts, good gear, and dinos in order to challenge and defeat the bosses in the main story maps. The main story maps, in order, are Island, SE, Aberration, Ext., and Gen1&2. Part of the fun is also discovering the lore and story as you go, by obtaining and reading explorer notes.
@@00Senta if you're getting bored of pve, also consider pvp. It's much more time consuming than pve, but I assure you, it's much more fun raiding people and defending what's yours from others
They used the term "hunting" in the live stream, but I'm not sure if that's necessarily the perfect term to use. However, they did say that the amargasaurus will select a specific dino or creature within its territory to go kill.

actually,huge and powerful herbivores are the most aggressive animals there are.
