I feel like the combat weight needs to be atleast 5,500 if they don’t want to do a speed buff. If the do a speed buff where it’s faster than a Rex 5k combat weight seems reasonable. You cannot out run a Rex with a Armarg and that is a deal breaker as every time I have ever seen a Rex as Armarg I have never been able to defeat it or run away from it. Also think the head attack should do a little more damage than 40 it’s head has spikes on it lol this is all just my opinion as I like the Dino model for Armarg but it is impossible to play on official without being a target.
Yeah, Amarga should have AT LEAST a 5,000 Combat Weight. Yes, it's a smaller Sauropod, but it's still a LARGE animal compared to most other animals on the game's official roster. And it should be at least a "healthy/decent" challenge for even an apex to take on.
So a few things they could do, make the stomp have a bone break effect, increase its movement speed to run apexes, or just increase the combat weight to make the headbutt do more damage.
You are wrong about the length of the tail. it's actually a flaw. Look closely at the animation. The tail's hitbix ends halfway through it. Which means that opponents can deal damage to the tail because it is extremely long and be outside the hitbix.
I have an Amarg and let tell you it’s tank, especially now with the lone survivor it soak up a lot of damage. I have taken out Allos, Pycnos, Megs, Metri, and Cerato with the my Armag. While the Amarg can’t 1V1 an apex it can take a lot damage for your to escape. Also Ya the Amarg is slow but you’ll be out running every apex because of it slow stamina drain
I honestly love my Amarg. Even on official servers I'm asked to sing more than fight. The combat weight increase would be nice
I was attacked by a defense Sucho when I was my attack sub species Amarg and was able to basically kill the Sucho with mainly just tail whips and the Sucho inflicting large amounts of bleed on itself. Only reason it didn't die is it swam across a river to the land on the other side to lay down. And my health was only about a quarter of the way lost, still had most my health.
I don’t think it’s worth growing but I agree with the combat weight increase
They need a back leg ability to have a 20% burst of speed for a certain amount of time
You’re going to have to do a 3.0 on Amarga soon. The PTB update shows that all dinosaurs are getting subspecies changes and the balancing of them will be different. Specifically, Amarga is going to be much stronger than it is now. It’s going to be getting one sub in particular that has +25% knockback. And an immunity to knockback as an ability.
But it will loose 25% health
The subspecies with the spikes on their back are losing the defense drawback. So the other they will be move viable now since before the defense one was pretty much required
New amarga is a unit. Took out 3 dasps solo 😂 It’s kinda wacky.
Plus, as a fresh sub amarga I gave an allo 8 mins of bleed standing and 1 min of bleed sitting.
@@samanthacallaway2276 amarg in June was the strongest we seen the amarg before they nerf it water stam, water speed, stam, run speed, now he has nerf cooldown on his stomp, and 25% less health he is so worthless compare to his June self

No PVP section? I like the Amarg but the first time I finally gone one to adult I immediately got attacked by two rexes and killed. The second time I got killed by two Torvosaurus, now if I play the Amarg it's just for the colors as it's quite hard to win fights with it even though it seems like it has potential. You're pretty much always by yourself in lone areas of you play an Amarg. On a side note will we get a review for the new Ampelosaurus mod? It's got more use compared to the Amarg and is slightly taller/faster but not as large as the Argents so it feels like a good mix of the two.
We’re you defense? Don’t do that, the spiked with extra damage imo the way to go.
I demolished 3 dasps as adult and 3 new metris as a fresh sub. The amount of bleed amarga gives is also nutty, I gave an adult allo 8 mins of bleed standing and 1 min laying down as a fresh sub too. Coupled with how long it can run?
Worth it.
You just gotta be aware for apexes, you can tank some damage from your tail by them before they run out of stam if you just start booking it.

The Mod creators Primordial Tyrants are changing its stats & adding new abilities & effects to it; so it’s currently going through several patches.
I do NOT know when the patches will be complete.

Low tier and midtier dont want to fight a Amarg and Apex instant kill the Amarg so for me this dino is just a wast of time.
I always laugh when a dev fucks up by making something too weak to fend off things but also too slow to escape things...
How do devs keep fucking this up?

Amarga is slow like anky, combat weight don't fix his problems. He shoud be little faster and get massive tail dmg buff.
Thanks for that he will be other type od tank than anky. Hard to kill because you cant sit on his ass. He shoud be fortress. Hard to kill but cant run away.
Gonna disagree, amarg we’ll get massacred basically 100% of the time against any Dino bigger than a cera.a shame because it could be a great Dino with added effects like Mabye a small bone break for the stomp
From what I played I have fought a lot of mid tiers as amarg. in a 1v1 against dasps and allos, you have a good chance at winning. I don’t think amarg is bad in the slightest but definitely needs a buff.
That’s in a 1 v 1 tho, and even still a allo vs a amarg Is gonna be a close fight. majority players are gonna want groups in small to mid sized Dino’s like carnos, it’s almost guaranteed a amarg will get outmatched/outplayed
Amargs win 1v1 against every non apex Dino in the game in their environment. Including sarcos in water, suchos in water, stegos on land, iggy on land. And amarg can kill three pycnos. It can kill a pycno with just tail swipes vs charge. Pycno charge does 6% and amarg tail does 7%. Amarg only looses to apexs or mid tiers in 2-3 and low tiers in 4-10. So yes amarg is good even though every update it gets nerfed. It has had it dps nerfed, aoe make the stomp never hit, reduced stamina by 30%, reduced water speed by half, reduced water stam by 60% and now receiving a 25%-33% health nerfed. But still the strongest non apex in the game

Y’all got to stop picking defense amarga, just go with the damage one. Your defense isn’t lowered anymore and the bleed from the spikes is a saving grace.
