Don't shoot me, but would you consider testing without the 2nd ring? Also gapping the top oil rail to equal to or greater than the second ring(if used). The bottom oil rail to spec.
You can use an aluminum water pump off of an 89 crown vic if you want a standard rotation waterpump for fox body accessories. You have to use the fox waterpump backing plate. Summit sells a ribbed water pump pulley for that as well
500hp on the lightweight 255 crank sounds intriguing but extremely iffy! Looking forward to this build 😎

Ford 255 small block. Shares the same stroke as a 302. Crank is very light.
