Really coming along, JT. I'm glad Nolan's is helping you, with your hard to find parts. I used to pass by there, all the time, when I was care-taker at the game area. Can't believe I never thought to suggest them to you.
Hey JT, Hello from Germany, this is my first comment on TH-cam. I really like the way you‘re doing this and I like Massey Ferguson, because we have two at home(one is a 35 and the other is a 65). Hopefully you came up with a lot more videos around MF and the Farm stuff. Greetings
Well fine JT , that hydraulic filter element is the same as the 1200/1250 , slightly different housing tho , get your self sum decent heavy duty axle stands 👍👍👍 Dave
Both of those 1150's at the end looked cool but I think the one with duals looked cooler. Once you got it all done up in new paint you should play Lady In Red for it. Also, Christmas is slowly sneakin its' way here, I think a shiny MF Ski-Whiz would be a perfect gift for the wife for when the snow falls. 😁
Interesting theory on how she ended up in the junkyard, sounds plausible. Whatever, it's in the best place now; even in this crazy world, sometimes good things do come to good people!
JT, looks like Santa needs to bring you a case of break cleaner and a Massey red shop roller stool..thanks again for the time shared with all who watch..be safe.
Chip Evans here, glad you could work out a deal with Nolts farm equipment. When I saw that nose cone in the back room ,I was like hell yeah. Good for you.
Great job ! I accidentally bought a M35a2 Duece and a half with winch, 17k m at auction for $1800. Description said does not run and had a pic of l/s of engine covered in oil. After having played around with these trucks for a while, I kinda knew the prob . After charging the batteries, she cranked right up after sitting for 9 yrs ! The rear canister oil filter was pouring oil out at the gasket, where someone tried to fix with 'orange' permatex. I just snugged it down and drove her home ! You have a good eye of keeping it simple and not over looking the details ! Hello to Fluffy !
Tractor cleaned up good will really be sharp when painted, you said something about putting a 4 bottom plow behind it wound not know that anything was hooked to it in the Sandhills and coastal part of N.C. it would pull a model 880 plow 6 to 7 bottom 18 inch plow easy can't wait to see it finished a quality peace for sure
Excellent video JT :) yes safety be 100 % on any work anyone does and glad your be safe take in steps to ! Also this tractor be super beautiful and gorgeous when done ✔ Lol also get horn honk when pass by you on drive on road to feilds plus high five waves too Lol !
I cut up the cardboard cases that fridges etc come in and put them under the work to keep the oil off the floor also some large tree rings are good for props
Surely this beauty wasn’t scrapped because of these minor issues. I already commented on previous videos that this is a find that just doesn’t happen. Anyway looking forward to see you showing her show tender loving care. Why oh why don’t you put cardboard on that pristine concrete floor before you start digging apart dirty oily things. 😂 Enjoy your weekend JT
When I worked in the oilfield, we used a water based soap with a lot of caustic soda in it. Our cement slabs would get pretty oily and this stuff changed them to white. Wish I could remember who made it.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 It was supplied by a chemical company so you’d have to look at an industrial supplier. I know it would burn your skin if it got on you!
Good one J T , yes their is a lot of preparation work in getting the M F 1150 ready to paint . She will look great , in the end result . When your finished painting .
It amazes me every time you start that 1150. It starts and runs so easy. I’ll bet your right on what someone thought the problem were. The thing is now the older big horsepower tractor are getting more popular. Farmers are getting tired of computers and def fluid and not being able to work on their own tractor. Btw, I noticed how dirty your jeans were, bet your wife gets pissed when you come in from the shop.
JT, you have to feel good at the end of the day! You have functional tractors that don't require DEF and/or have to "Regen". Imagine being in the middle of a damn field, in the high of work season, and your tractor De-rates. You are easily thousands of dollars ahead.
Hey JT, You are the Man .Another great job, those plugs just are unreal. I'm glad you left one tire on the tractor, things have been known to fall off the blocks 😊
JT, like u had stated before, "once u have painted the 1150 frame, it will look great from a mile away" It is a farm tractor, not a show tractor.. Fluffy will like-it..
It's amazing to see the amount of equipment still available. There are so many scrap yards here on the Eastern Shore you bet it headed to the scrap yard! Playing hooky from work. Watched the football game. Ravens fan. After that game the beer tasted like? I'm not going to work tomorrow!
That's a great tractor. I know you will make it look great, JT. I'm doing the same thing with my 330 IH utility. It's a lot of work making something like that look good.

That tractor will look great,I wish I had done the same thing with my dad's B-250 international tractor which he bought brand new in 1958 but when I sold the family farm sadly it had to go.
I once installed a carburetor with 3 input points for the fuel line, and left one with a plastic cap. Only took an hour or so to look to the off side and see the 'leak'.
JT, I think you are getting enough equipment I would definitely switch to 55 gallon barrels. Expensive but cheaper in the long run. I hope you like me spending your money 😊
My 1150 has huge inner wheel weights that bolt on the back of that inner rim piece. My rear tires are 600 /38. I started it up after sitting all winter. My clutch wouldn’t disengage. Had to start it in gear drove it around for awhile and it became unstuck.
Massey and Allis Chalmers have power shift wheels they are easy to do Shift the wheels out wide you can walk and paint inside along the frame that's easier than removing the wheels

Closed center hydraulics. Worked great but dealers hated it. Deere had a similar system but did not have pressure control. Pressure control whopped everyone anytime anywhere regardless of implement.
