Well done. Neon White needs more content and this video was a blast to watch in it's entirety, thank you for taking your time with this project and giving the community your greatest efforts, it was really worth it!
Banger. The video has clearly been worked on for a while, which means that some of the info on IL WRs is outdated by now, but the Rush WR still stands! I just wanted to note that real quick. It's not a mistake by you, the game simply changed fast since the end of 2023. Very good to hear the past runners talk. More games should have videos like this.
I’ve seen a lot of people try to emulate Summoning Salt’s style, but you’re the only one that’s been able to capture the same level of storytelling as him; the interview section before the Twist Ending for example. Amazing video and a huge service to the community!
Conor going “what did I just join?” So innocently at 1:09:15 had me rolling bro. Great video, I can tell there was a great deal of effort poured into this.
Sensational job man. It's so awesome to see that you have such a passion for the game that you did your own version of a Summoning Salt deep dive. I love Neon White. It was my GOTY when I got to play it last year and my mind is boggled watching speedrunners knowing that I'm just thrilled to achieve an Ace medal or pull off a deathless run in Level Rush. I got recommended this on my TH-cam feed after watching streamer Joseph Anderson play some of the game and fall in love with it so here's hoping the algorithm brings other fans of the game in and gets this video some shine!
That was amazing to watch! I love Neon White so much and remember how this game came out of nowhere for me. I bought it, fell in love with it played over 100 hours and watched Azore so much crushing records. Everything about this game and the speedruns that came with it were amazing to watch and your timeline for sub 30 is a beautiful loveletter to this game and the speedrunners and runs that came with it. Thank you so much
Very good video! Have only started playing Neon White a couple months ago so it's interesting to see the history of this game's most popular category besides ILs.
This is such an amazing and well made video! Especially the montage at the end pulled it together perfectly. It definitely motivated me to continue playing Neon White. Keep up the good work!
Great video! Love this game so much. I was trying speedrunning, but, unfortunatly, don't have enough self control. Speedrunners are truly non human being.
@@einzot if you want, you can always try individual level runs or shorter categories. Grinding 10-second levels is a great way to learn how to get top times.
Incredible video, YT recommended it to me kinda out of nowhere, and man it was a pleasure to sit through it. Love the game, and even though I'm far, far off from achieving times similar to what people do (although the in-game leader board for the whole game has me at ~630 which is pretty nice!) and probably never will, it was very nice to know more about things at the top. Thank you !
I heavily grinded this game near release (particularly the last chapter) so it was fun knowing some of the tricks of the run in the earlier part of the video.
Man idk how i just found this video i ran quite a bit during the golden era,(had a pb in the 45s or so) and holy hell what an amazing game. I wish this game just had more content creation around it, i think it does have one of the highest intensity speed runs. and some of the lowest margin for error esp in hell rush. I remember watching a ton of azorae and trying to mimic the strats but could never even get close to consistant on them. but man it was just so much fun. once again amazing video hopefully more people flock to the game :D
I did... Yesterday I did some attempts on Mission 1, all maps besides 1 I am in top 1000, one I am top 130, top 270, top 406, top 440 and rest in top 700s. I still need to grind one map on that mission so I can be in top 1000 on all Mission 1 maps. Then the other missions..... ( note, I havent even finished the game yet, I am at bubble levels ) Also, I noticed some cheaters... because cmon, you cant finish a level in 13ms ( as in 00:00.013 ), I think it needs some cleaning...
It took me a minute to realize your avatar was not part of the game lol. it totally fit the aesthetic! That being said this is very well done. take my sub!
I’m currently playing this game and going for the aces, sometimes I accidentally get a red medal and go check the global leaderboards. It usually goes like this: “Wow, 19sec and top 1000 I’m getting good at this game, let me see what the 1st place time is…6:45seconds…wtf”
this was a very entretaining video, as it went on it got much better in storytelling, might wanna work on your essay introductions because that almost caused me to click off
Agree. I really don't think you should start a video like this by downplaying every other speedgame like that. Not only is it arrogant, it's not even comparable. So many games require so many different types of techniques and skill, it's a completely subjective claim to make.
Maybe not LOL, but I had to hype it up at the start. I do think this is a contender for hardest speedgame in terms of how little downtime there is and how difficult the mechanics are to master.
@@JakeRat-xo2bw if we are talking perfect execution of tricks, the sheer amount of tricks, difficulty of them and the length of the run, neon white is definitely the hardest speedrun game
@@74snoo82 well that's a bit harsh... Some runners streamed at a lower resolution than others so I did what I could to ensure all world record runs were showcased.

Pretty damn good idea though

That actually means a lot, thank you. I've been a screenwriter for the past 4 years so I do pride myself on good writing.
criminally underviewed, excellent video. knew nothing of this game outside of its name in passing, still enjoyed this the whole way through
Never got into this game, and never knew the existence of this community, but damn it's a good introduction! Amazing video!
It's never too late to start playing. You can get it for a great price on Steam right now (and also consoles but its not nearly as good there)
