I still remember when Smallant reacting to a theoretical time in 2019 when the time was lowered all the way to 55:28 in this game. Speedrunners are so close reaching the final minute barrier by 4 seconds now thanks to Tyrone 56:03 time. What an absolute beast. Honorable mention to Myles for optimizing Moon kingdom because he’s was a beast for single segment for moon kingdom specifically.
the fact that you can collect a moon on the other side of the map before you can damage mecha wiggler again is a testament to how annoying that boss is
It’s always funny to see someone cover the history of speedruns in a game or an analysis of a recent speedrun or similar. Then see the record beaten shortly thereafter. It’s kind of a curse and kind of a blessing of making these types of videos

A little inside on Shaeden: just from being in his Twitch chat back in the day, I know that he never owned the game or a Nintendo Switch for that matter. He would borrow his roommate's to do the runs. I imagine something happened in that situation and or he just got bored.

I wanted to try speedrunning this game after my casual playthrough.....then I immediatly realised how mandatory motion controls are and quit. I dont want to sit on my couch and keep moving my hands up and down constantly
Tyron called himself Badabun and spliced a run on the super Mario game while eating pizza and drinking coke. He learned from his mistake and stopped eating while he had to do specifik clicks on his controller…. Doesnt make it less spliced. I dont get how a cheater Can get This much attention just by changing name. Tyron18 should be banned, for fkn real. FUNNY THING IS THE CONTROLLER IS EXACTLY BEHIND THE TIME STAMPS WHILE HE PLAYS. And even more funny, the cam is completely removed in his new record, I WONDER WHY.
