This is by far the best tutorial for this cut! The key bit of advice is applying pressure with the thumb on the lower packet to encourage it to tilt upwards ready for the index finger to slide under. Really unlocks the whole cut, thankyou!
Only the second video of yours that I've watched and, yet again, I'm am extremely thankful that you were able to explain the move, in detail, with the right angles, and have the empathy to think about the kinds of problems a beginner would likely have with learning the move. Thank you so much.
I struggled with this when I first tried the other day, your vid showed I was missing the lever action with the thumb for the bottom packet. Seems so obvious now I know but I still wouldn't without the detailed breakdown you give here. Thanks
Oh my god thank you I have been getting so mad because I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and after watching your video I realized I needed to pinch with my thumb and move the pointer. Thank you so awesome
Just thought about searching for a vid like this cause there's so little cardistry on yt nowadays, was pleasantly surprised! I have fairly small hands and am already able to do the revolution cut, but it was interesting seeing how I do it slightly differently.
This tutorial was so helpful. A lot of other revolution cut tutorials seem to require having bigger hands/long fingers so the edge of the bottom deck can be more vertical. The tip of using your thumb as a lever made me get it instantly.
Thank you! This is a great way to teach cardistry. Breaking down each move slowly with workable chunks has made the learning process much more manageable and gratifying.
This was AWESOME!!! Thank you! I want to second what Toby Sharp said... you are the first person to properly break this down! I have small hands and I was about to give up trying to pull off this cut. Can't wait to see more of your videos
Excellent tutorial. You are a very good teacher. I also appreciate that you stick to the teaching. I hope to find other cardistry tutorials on your site. Thank you
I know this video is two years old now but just want to say thank you for making such a great tutorial! It took me a long time to learn the Charlie cut with my small hands so I am pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to do the revolution cut after watching your video a few times :)
Had a lot of trouble with my index catching when trying to bend it for the closing but after trying it with just the top half for a little while I think I'm starting to get it Edit: There's a troubleshooting portion just for that, whoops
Its hard to say without seeing your cut but, it could be 2 things. 1) it could be your balance is a little off causing the cards to shift forward or back and you should try tilting your hand forward or back as you cut the cards.2) Could be your finger place and you could experiment changing your starting position. Most likely though its prolly just that you do the cut slowly. Try doing the cut fast and usually it will smooth itself out over a little time, then slow it down after you see smooth out. Doing the cut slow and smooth is much harder than fast.
@Kursedaim.backup.account.2 yes, because it is not easy and you have to practice it. I have small hands and can do it. The video shows HOW to. Main part is to lift the packet with the thumb. Stop spreading misinformation just because you lack the skills
Watched eight other tutorials and finally figured it out after watching your video!! Ty
Thank you! I really worked hard breaking this down.
Never could understand. You explain it well!!!!!! I didn't move the ring on the right side! That's very hard and strange

How do I make it so that when I finish the cut the cards are all aligned, (looks like a normal deck not to seperate decks)

Wrong, it definitely is possible! This tutorial shows a different method of moving the bottom packet.
