Mind-Blowing Prediction Trick | Magic Tutorial
This trick feels like it was off the cuff. It will seem to your audience that not only did you predict what they are going to say but also you will predict the exact position of card from a randomly generated number. All with a fun comedic tone (something I feel is missing in a lot of tricks)
Magic to me can be extremely sleight of hand heavy and most youtubers really focus on the sleight or the "secret" of the trick. This video really emphasizes the "entertainment" portion of the trick. The trick itself is simple and easy but your audience will have fun. Your number 1 job as a performer to let people have fun, I think tricking them or fooling them is only secondary.
Keep in mind you can take these ideas and apply them in different ways. Don't take this presentation idea as set in stone.

    Hi, thanks! I saw you did a video about e years ago about the triple charlier cut with small hands. How about palming? Can you use it? And what about classic pass? Sorry if I ask you too much but I have very small hands that would not become larger and sometimes it's frustrating

    • @LearnYourMagic
      @LearnYourMagic วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yea I do really want to make some videos on palming and a classic pass, as most youtuber emphasize doing it perfect to make it work-- which is IMO crazy. Its something I have to get live footage of me performing the misdirection is important. I do a ton of palming in my pro shows, Ill try and get some footage so I can explain it better.

    thank you for this video!! i find a lot of moves almost impossible with my 16.2 cm from the tip of the middle finger-long palm (and yes, i am 21 so it's not growing) but almost every video says that the problem is not there and i'm just not trying hard enough. it's really rare to find anything useful. the cut is still REALLY hard to do, but now at least it really looks like something that can be achieved with practice

    Typo on your thumbnail. PEDICTION is missing the R. 291 - 192 = 99. That's not a 3 digit number. But 9 + 9 = 18, so it still works. Any 3 digits, say X, Y, and Z. If the difference between X and Z is 1, then it'll be a 2 digit number. So (X)(Y)(Z) becomes (X)(Y)(X-1) or (X)(Y)(X+1). Then subtracting, (X)(Y)(X +/- 1) - (X +/- 1)(Y)(X) = (-/+ 1)(0)(+/- 1). If the ones digit is -1, then it borrows from the tens column. Since the tens column is 0, it has to borrow from the hundreds column. Thus, if the X and Z (hundreds and ones) columns differ by 1, this will lead to a two digit number. If the ones digit is +1, then the final answer is still going to be 99, but -99.

      I think that's where the "is your number less than 52?" question comes in handy. if they say no, you can just tell them to add the digits together and still get to 18

  • @W-I-C-K-E-D
    @W-I-C-K-E-D หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have gone through this force with 3 different digits while also using 0 & it still seems to work and add up to 18. Any combo with 0 that wouldn't?

    • @LearnYourMagic
      @LearnYourMagic หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea it still can work. However there are combinations that will give you 9 instead of 18. For example if the put in 054 it will just input as 54. If then say revers the digits and subtract they will do 54-45=9. There are people who will do weird things. You can definitely not include that instruction about 0 and risk getting 9 as it is super rare.

    • @W-I-C-K-E-D
      @W-I-C-K-E-D 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@LearnYourMagicPerhaps it depends on the calculator. I used the 054 example in your reply on two different devices and it still gives the desired force number when reversed and subtracted. I haven't had any issues ever when performing. 9 will be the result if 054 is reversed and then accidentally added instead, because the final three digits will be 504

    This is by far the best tutorial for this cut! The key bit of advice is applying pressure with the thumb on the lower packet to encourage it to tilt upwards ready for the index finger to slide under. Really unlocks the whole cut, thankyou!

    Thanks for the fourth one, I haven't come across it before. As for the third one, with a slight modification - I turn the final packet face-up and flip it over onto the rest of the deck, because it makes the whole thing look a little bit flourishy - I've used that for years. Done casually as if you're just toying with deck, the two together make a nice sequence!

    How do you get the deck to end flush/lined up though?!?!! Even when i "push" them back together with the middle and ring, the portion of the deck moving the top gets caught by my pinky finger pad 😭 i want to be able to repeat the charlier continously without my other hand making the cards neat again. thanks for the great video.

    I have been trying to get a hold of this cut for sometime since I also have small hands. The small "adjustments" you show in the sleight do make all the difference, having, somehow, gravity to work for you and help you complete the cut. It is all in the balance and understanding how the weight of the cards help you. Thanks for a wonderful and clear explanation!

    Thanks man after 25 years of studying the magical arts I am about to turn professional.I’ve done a few venues one was a disaster I used flash paper doing the old thumb tip bill switch for a flash paper note lit it it triggered a smoke alarm accidentally above me.The building was evacuated 400 people I got out of there fast that fast loading the car boot I turned around fast walked into the lamppost knocked myself out.After that nightmare 15 years later both venues went perfect excellent response so the message don’t give up when you love magic you get those amazing reactions it’s great.just be careful with flash paper.
