this is def what I needed to see for video #1! Thanks!
2023 and this is still so relevant :)
There aren't many good fan tutorials out there on youtube, thank you so much for creating this!
hello, you said "everyone can do the weave" except not me, I'm just beginning and I'm watching your videos to learn but you didn't describe how to do this very basic step- can you please make a video describing how to do the forward and backward weave? thanks
Hi, yes, sorry, I realized it with all these feedbacks that actually not everyone can do the weave, at least not smoothly at the side. So I'll do a kind of #0 tutorials about how to hold the fans and do the weave. It's basically a figure of 8, like in poi, stuff of any other prop.
Sorry for the late response
Phew, I thought I was the only one haha
Hey! Was a the #0 forward weave tutorial ever made!?
I managed to do it after finding a really old video on his channel although there's no #0 yet ^^ th-cam.com/video/6ulDwQId6M8/w-d-xo.html
Sorry guys, I wanted to make #0 tutorial, but now there are so many tutorials for this move already, check the pinned comment.
Thankyou ^.^ Iv been dying to learn tech fans for years coming from fire and aerial hoop. I'm stuck with hangers for now but this type of repetition is really helpful and I can feel where I need to gain lean muscles in my left wrist. Looking forward to following this tutorial journey.
Just starting to learn fire fans as my first fire prop thanks so much for all the helpfull tutorials! Ive watched a lot of your videos and your an incredible preformer !
Great technique and style !
Just starting with fans and this is amazing ✨
I really like your style and the way you teach the importance of basic muscle memory before fancy tricks. Thank you for the drilling tutorial videos 🤘🏼
Thank you so much for all your tutorials. They are so helpful and your movements are always so clean.
I'm feeling so clumsy!!! I need a close up of your hand movements they seem so effortless
Thank you for the terrific drills to practice. I appreciate you mentioning early on the body tracing that is a necessary element to keeping the movements clean and in control. Great tutorial.
You’re so fun to watch!
I was searching this because I haven’t used my revolver in a while and I’m trying to get better at fanning but I may need to try this
Awesome! Thanks for the video!!
Your english is really good :) i'm impressed. Thanks so much for posting this for me!!!
Thank you for sharing your skills & knowledge!
thank you for the english tutorials, I realy love your move's
1) Thank you for this video.
2) Your accent is glorious
+Dawn Layman Thanks! Well, this video is one of the worst from my English point of view, in the the following tutorials I tried to be more careful about that )
Its understandable. And this is the best tutorial for weaves I've found
Getting into russian fans spinning here and Wow! Just discovered your channel! So great, very well explained! Love it all. Gonna watch them all! Thank you 😄
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for making these tutorials. They're great!
Hey guys, I see a lot of people wishing this was slowed down-just hit the 3 dots at the top right of the screen and change the playback speed. You can slow it down as much as you like! Happy fan-ing!
Thank you SO SO much!! These videos help me a ton! You are amazing!
Can’t wait to learn more! :D you are amazing!
Thank you for the new tutorial series!
Fantastic video! Very helpful!
You are amazing! Thank you!
Gracias por estoy tutoriales!
Mil gracias!! ,☺️☺️
I feel like as soon as I master the first tutorial I´d already have enough skills to do an entire act lol
I know the video is old but still I wished the movements were shown waaaaaaayy slower! Like if you don´t already know the moves by heart it is so tricky to figure out what is going on while trying to just copy moves from a video :S Still got at least some great inputs on what to work on
+Nino Circus Freak , well, yes here I already assume that you can do at least simple weaves from poi or staff. But there are other tutorials on TH-cam explaining how to make those)
So good
Your technique is so beautiful and the accent is awesome!! I hope you watch Archer hahaha!!
One suggestion to your epic tutorials for us beginners! Could you do some of the weaves in slow motion? I have no idea how you're able to keep them spinning so tightly....My wrists are nowhere near that dexterous - Maybe I'm doing it wrong
Hi!, Thanks! Well, the "tightness" comes with time, practice and right camera angle ) At the beginning it's always very rough, but as you wrists get used to it all becomes more smooth. So don't worry, it's notmal ;)
But I'll try to show some slow motion in future...
Спасибо! отличный урок для новичка, чтобы понять как, что и куда двигаться должно)
Thanks!
Thank you for this awesome tutorial! Where do you recommend getting fans like this from?
+Rachel Towgood thanks:) I spin Uncle Druulian's fans; in my opinion, the most durable fans for the most reasonable price on the market, even after adding shipping.
Fire Fan Tutorials great, thank you so much!
Жаль нельзя поставить лайк несколько раз ^^
Hi, what kind of Fan would you recommend? I think this video is very useful :)
Thanks
Hi love the videos. Can you post a step by step on how to do the weaves ?
+Bkitty thanks. Yes, it seems to be a common problem, I'll post a video on weaves this month
thank you so much for the tutorial.!! I was wandering if you could make a vidoe tutorial going slower on how the wrist goes for doing the front and back weaves? =)
Catalina Grisales well I'm hot sure if I'll make a separate tutorial about it, but the wrist also does some kind of figure 8 move. The most important thing is that you shouldn't hold your fan tight. It's rather on your fingers, so the wrist is not involved so much.
Catalina Grisales you can change speed to make slower here in settings ;)
Thanks nice tutorial
hello ! quick question: are those fans 30 cm in length? Awesome tutorials as always , thank you for sharing ! greets from Germany !
Yes, approximately, I'm not sure how long exactly, but similar to those: homeoffans.com/photos/my-third-fans-wicks
can you make videos that are a little more slowed down its some times hard to follow even when i press replay
opening doors for me. thank you.
I took a workshop with him, its great to be able to review techniques! keep the videos coming!
Love your fire vids too 🔥🖤
I don't know if maybe my wrists are just super inflexible, but is it basically a figure-8 motion you're making with your hand? Thanks!
Yes, it's just figure-8 sometimes called a weave, at least that's what I mean every time I'm saying it.
Can you put a white stripe on one endge so I can see better?
where did you get your fans? im looking for a place so i can buy me some to practice with.
Hello. May I know where did you get these pair of fans ?
These are from Uncle Druulian Store
I don't think I have the right fans for this move. Does the size of the ring matter?
where did you get those fans?!
круто, спасибо!
hi which fan you recommend for beginners
his are from Uncle Druulian it looks like. find him on Etsy
Where do you get your fans from?
Uncle Druulian. find him on Etsy
how do you make these fire fans?
Jose A Morales it's made by this guy facebook.com/uncledruulians
What is the best kind of fans you recommend to beginners?
his are from Uncle Druulian it looks like. find him on Etsy. I have Misha fans, made with leather around the ring. just another option. check out ePoi.ru
"first, make sure you can do this basic move"
doesn't show how to do said move...
Sorry, in this very first tutorial, I mistakenly assumed that everybody comes from poi and knows about weaves. Please check this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/UsV0U2vXZok/w-d-xo.html
To learn the weave itself please watch: th-cam.com/video/UsV0U2vXZok/w-d-xo.html
Slow Motion?
There's a function in TH-cam player to slow the video ;)
It’s basic
Everyone can do it
Just practice
Uuuuhhhhh
What lol
Well, it was the very first English tutorial, I didn't really know what people consider basic... I really didn't expect this video to become the one that absolut beginners first find on TH-cam) Nowadays I try to make lessons easier!
I feel retarded trying to do this without knowing how to grip my fans properly
This is what is called "closed grip", you can check the theretical tutorial #26 to learn more about grips. Here, the particular way to hold is not very important, but it's better to hold it with your fingers rather than stiffly holding it with the whole hand. This will give you more flexibility
So a tutorial on how to do a weave that assumes I already know how to do a weave...
Something like that... easy, right? Something like that. Everybody can do this.
Guy, are you real? How frustrating!
