Yes it is a major upgrade idk why people keep saying it’s not. You can check on your PS5 you own right now. Go to performance mode on a game then go to graphics mode and tell me those don’t look different. Now the pro is putting both those modes together. 4K60 is a major upgrade whether y’all wanna believe it or not. Plus the PSSR only gonna get better with AI learning.

For me it’s worth every dollar, 2Tb, AI upscaling, larger GPU, I get to play my games at 4K60 im happy. Do what you do 💯
Got my PS5 for $200 used when my PS4 burnt out last year. Still wouldn’t have upgraded if the PS4 didn’t burn out. So far the only game on PS5 I couldn’t get on PS4 is BG3

And I understand owning all the previous generations consoles, that’s dope. Im also a collector but if there was emulation (which there is) that plays all the games of previous generations better on a small device like a phone or your PC/Laptop, wouldn’t be convenient to have all of it in the palm of your hand.
It’s hard to justify buying a Pro when my PS5 was bought solely for VI. I spent a few years playing V on 360, so I’m okay with a little fidelity. We got another few more years until PS6 I’m sure. I’ll upgrade them.
I too still have a working PS2, PS3 and currently use a PS4 Pro for my millionth play through of GTA5. I don't own a PS5. I'll hold out for a GTA6/PS5 Pro bundle and see what the price is like. To be honest, with Dan Houser, Laszlo, Imran Sarwar, Les Benzies and others no longer being part of Rockstar and having no involvement with GTA6 I'm not convinced I'll be rushing out to buy it until some reviews have come in. I've never said that previously about any GTA, but with such a massive loss of the core writing/artistic direction talent there's no guarantee it will have the same quality or feel of the previous games. I'm very much hoping to be proved wrong...

Unlike my PSVita which i preordered back then and stopped working in about 2014, which i am now i am going to restore lol. And that Sony Support was garbage back then, they wanted me to charge the same price for a repair as getting a new one, while Microsoft support was amazing at that time with Online support chat or phone call support with very friendly employers. Sadly that type of Microsoft support died years ago and is just history nowadays.
If you are a PC casual gamer: - Please don't waste the money on a ps5 pro. After 1.5 years when gta 6 will come to pc you won't use it anymore and it will just gather dust. - If you don't have a console and you can't wait for the PC release of gta 6 then just buy a used ps5.

Xbox next gen should be here by late 2026 , shortly after that ps6 most likely in 2027 , next gen games like cyberpunk 2 and the witcher 4 use unreal engine 5 which is made for next gen hardware , current gen xbox x and ps5 can barely run a stripped out version of unreal engine 5 , series S should have never existed with its 4 tflops potato GPU and it is the main reason why current gen games are limited and not much better than previous gen , i think waiting for next gen is a good move on the mid and long run ..
The only people who should get a Pro are content creators or people who have more than enough money to piss away, for the average joe minimum wage society slave, it is not worth it at all. If the difference was going to be day and night I could see getting it. BUT it won’t be. GTA VI will look beautiful on my XBOX SERIES X.
