Sam C he just knows his brother too well and can tell his emotions by looking at his eyes. Wei Wuxian will be able to do it much later, too. You can keep a poker face, but your eyes will always tell what you are feeling, you’re unable to hide it. A person just have to know you good enough, and they will see even a tiny change in your mood.

Xiao Zhan's singing at end of this EP made me realize what a great singer he is when I first watched this series. The other thing is having so many lines in this series must have been very tiring for him to memorize, not to mention having to play alongside the rigid character of Lan Zhan. His role was very demanding but he interpreted it accordingly and did a marvellous job imo.

I remember the first time I saw this and was completely baffled by how Xichen could see the switches in Lan Xhan’s face cuz it just looked the same to me. Watching this the 3rd time I can now see every switch and read the emotions off his face. The progress is immaculate :D

Oh, my God, the drunk scene. It’s just so freaking hilarious - and it’s even better here than in the original. And God, the scene between Baoshan Sanren and Lan Yi foreshadows the later rain scene between WWX and LWJ - you pick up a LOT more when you watch this SE after watching the Netflix version and you know what’s coming.
I loved the panic in LanZhan's face and voice when he came into JC and Wei's room and saw the two boys on top of Wei. I laugh every time I see that part talk about jealous. He was like get yall azz off him you know LanZhan hated for people to touch Wei.

He really didn't understand that his touching that head band meant that he was considered Lanzhan's wife that's what he was called in the novel Lanzhan's wife and cultivation partner. I loved that part when Lanzhan was making the decision if he should give his headband to Wei knowing once he did it what it meant and he did it any way. I was like omg...omg...omg.

I'd be surprised if he didn't know the significance of Lan Wangji's headband. I think WWX did have feelings for LWJ, he just had a different way of showing it-> through flirty teasing and through words. LWJ doesn't openly express oral affection towards WWX, rather he does it through his actions-> Bringing him Emperor's smile, carrying him on his back, protecting him and staying by his side etc. They both had different ways of showing affection so I think because of this, they also had a difficult time understanding each other's affections. According to one of Tianmi Jun's videos, WWX needs a more explicit confession (through words, just like how he shows affection) while LWJ needs a confession through actions (like how he shows affection.

It’s 2021, and after awhile l am back re-watching THE UNTAMED. I wanted only to revisit a few scenes, but ones l start watching l cannot finish before l am through it all. I lost count how many times l saw this drama. To me it is still the best in its unusual themes, portraying the clans all as selfish, not really righteous, portraying friendships as fragile, and jealous. Portraying human beings in all their facets, and the motive of every single character was understandable. I just love this drama, enjoy every scene more and more with every rewatch. I would give XIAO ZHAN every Award in the world for his portrayal of WWX.
