I’m 60 and my husband is 66. We are life long artists living in a housing association flat in Cardiff. To quote Glenn Carmichael (RIP) friend and poet “no blue plaques on my high rise” and love the idea of respectful people like you coming in after we are dead. Keep up the good work, peace and love ✌🏽❣️and best wishes from South Wales
My grandfather would date all the pictures he took as well from when he took them and even sometimes the location the pictures were taken and who is in the pictures. We still have a bunch of them. You can feel the love in this little home. Reminds me of my maternal grandparents house. My grandfather grew his own grapes in the backyard and made his own wine in the basement with a grape press and he had barrels to firment the wine. I miss those days. This video definitely brought back memories. Thank you Sam and Jess. Love your videos.
That dining room was lovely....I find it fascinating seeing places like this, it stirs your mind & leaves you wondering why no one comes to pick up the memories that are left to fade with time. And as always Sam brilliant intro to this lovely place. 🖤 🖐️ 🖤WA State
I'm relatively new to today's technology and appreciate it's certain magic but it is comforting to see these oddly moving places. Portugal looks so pretty and this home has a warm slow pace left over from a simpler time. Satie's piano music was soothing, beautiful. Thanks guys 😊❤️
Its sad to see decades of photos of family history, and documented memorabilia keepsakes only to be forgotten through time. The antique furniture is remarkably pristine and salvageable, it be shameful to see all this just sit to rot. Love the orange tree!
Great video Sam andJess , and I love how you both take the time to look and not just rush through things. Always look forward to your next video especially ones which are abandoned houses and quaint cottages ❤
awwww.... your intros Sam... really set the scene ... and then the videos are always perfect... you and Jess are so super respectful of peoples belongings and memories that you find....I could watch you 24/7 ...thank you so much for bringing the history and interest from the places that you visit xxx
Another Beautiful Manor House explored, Sam&Jess!...the Kitchen was a bit trashed, but the Dining room & many Bedrooms were almost pristine...I love the inside Shutters on the Windows!...TY!...seeing Portugal thru your Explores is a welcome treat!...Stay Safe & Take Good Care!...🤗🥰🌹...
Hello guys again it’s the guy who made comments about Jess hair you brighten my day ya like cheese and crackers branston pickle too and guess where I live in the place where branston pickle origins are Branston Burton upon Trent staffs and I live in Cotswold drive branston there are some interesting places around here Repton the village where pope Gregory Vi was the first pope Repton school famous people attended their Jeromy Clarkson Jules Holland Ian Hislop I think anyway I’m waffling enjoy ya brighten my day maybe visit some fascinating places it used to be the capital of Mercia back in old England
I am sure this has been said before, but I just wanted to commend you both for not taking any antiques or items of value from the locations you visit, especially from a home like the above! Your(s) integrity is exemplary.🥇
A very lovely poignant investigation. I loved the dining room because you could imagine that the family stepped out briefly...if you overlook some of the growth and decay. I hope the lady didn’t spend her last days all alone there! That would be truly sad. The Portugal series is fantastic and I can’t wait for more! Thanks for sharing this place with us. It’s definitely a hidden gem!!
Sick video man! I just started filming abandoned locations myself! I love watching other peoples content so I can see how to better my stuff! Keep up the good work!
Hello from norway, that wood`n and metal contraptions you found in the basement is a scale, mostly used for selling corn, grains, potato and other big scale items. Keep the videos coming love every bit of it.
Another beautiful explore.💞I adored the kitchen. The white cupboards and pretty green gingham detailing. The lace edging the shelves. A room of warmth and love. 🌷
Hi Sam and jess what a lovely location and lovely house,so meny beautiful things to see,so meny memories left behind and this house sadly deteriorating only hope that the family that our left will one day return and bring this family home back to life again, yet another great video and thanks again for sharing your videos 👍
Just stumbled across your channel subbed after watching this video, just wanted to say thank you for the time and effort you put into these productions to share with us..be safe take care..peace from Australia..
I couldn't bear to leave my family heritage behind like that, but it seems quite common from watching explorers. Congratulations on your massive leaps forward from when you started, really enjoy your explores and quality of filming.
What a fabulous place! I loved the main bedroom it must have been so majestic back in the day. The safe was incredible, the surrounding land was beautiful and all the photos were absolutely wonderful. I could have looked around for hours! Thank you for sharing this total Jem with us! Xx
I love the thoughtful design of everything and the internal shutters on the windows are perfect. Close in cold times and sleeping in late without any weathering and unreachable outer types..adds security too. The 2nd building is clearly for housing for the farm hands with that large communal dining room & kitchen with small bare rooms. Workers must be there at 5 in the morn, farm workers didn't live miles away or have houses & cars like today. I am sure the maids & cook etc had simpler rooms in the main house to be available on call. The land provided the wealth as usual for all these Chateaus and Mansion houses and the employees were the muscle engines to fill that safe with cash to buy these fine trappings you see. Relying on the guidance and knowledge of the owners to keep it afloat. Sadly when the husband dies so does the farm as most wives would not be trained in all the dutiee he did and of course the modern kids went on to college and professions in the cities far away where the exciting action is as usual and never wanting to be farmers so they rot as who wants to buy such a farm going rapidly downhill as the lady ages. Even in good shape! Such work is rough to do 7 days a week as required no doubt, plus can't hire people to do the labour cheaply as of old.
First up, I notice with a fondness that you mention "family" within 2 minutes of opening prologue. 🥰 Now, come on ... who loves the thought of his own family? Yeah, you know ☺ Blessings to you both in happy health and God's timing. Thankyou for hunting, and producing product with your special touch that I enjoy so, so much. 🇦🇺🐞 cheers. Qld Australia
hey at 9:43 your both in a room and jess says nice little rug there and then she pans up and in between the bed and the door on left theres like a white thing that comes from like the bed into the door on the left. it moves real quick weird check it out guys...
Beautiful place! Your videos brings a little life back to these places. I see the Portuguese like their wine. Your videos get better with each one. Godspeed to you both!
Love the ways you guy’s so respectful and ya saved the family’s history on line forever photos history story would have been lost forgotten in the decay once they are long gone they will last in history here because of you guys nice one and you do it so well don’t change your a hit x
Good Morning Dear Sam&Jess, what a beautiful family home this was. And weird that nobody ever picked up all those family treasures, and memories. What a shame the house is left to rot. Anyway thank you so much for this incredible video, and for the Sati music 🎶 ❤. Thanks for respecting the place too. Have a Awesome Weekend together. As always friendly greetings from us:Anne&Harry from nearby Amsterdam, Holland 🇳🇱. Love &Light a Hug, plus sloppy doggy kiss from us. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😘👍👍👍👍🖐
I just can’t wrap my mind around the fact that when the house is demolished everything in it will be destroyed. What a waste. There’s people that would be so grateful to have those things ……someone who can’t afford those things. What a shame. Luv you guys.
Hola amigos!!
Great video guys I luv the respect u have for these old time capsules, I'm loving Portugal series 2 it's brilliant well done and thanks for sharing 👍🤘 can't wait for the next one, this little place was amazing to see all the pictures there life slowly unfolding 👍💖
Jess, TS 5:14 you asked, "what is that?, when Sam opened that little container. It's to make tatting or lace for clothing. My mom tried teaching me some 50yrs ago and I never could pick up the know how. She used a tatting shuttle, that wood circular deal was called a tatting block which could also be used with heavier threads. Very complicated and theres only a few homemade devices I know of that were used back in the day. I cant even say I've seen tatting for at least 20yrs, until when I'd found some at a yard sale in an old sewing case. That brought back some great memories though. The doilys like what's on the dining table TS 6:47, which that design is called, "lady's corset," as you can see the corset design on the top side. And then another TS 19:25 on the dresser. That has silk kite shapes surrounded with daisies. Tatting sometimes was attached to doilies as well. But anything with tatting attached, had to be hand washed as they were very delicate. But any doily that's crocheted, mom taught me how to use just a photo to copy the pattern so money was never spent on mail-order patterns. Same with making afghans. An after you've made enough of all, you never forget how many stitches an what type of stitch goes where to make another and another. Loved this video! Theres always something that reminds me of my childhood, even here with the smallest of objects tucked away and forgotten in a tiny little container ❤ Thank you again xx
Hi grannies Annie it's so nice to see things in Sam and Jesse's vids that start you off remanissing isn't it I like there vids there's always something that I used to have or made
Sad to say, but I think maybe the owners passed away, and their families have just never came back 😔 God bless em🙏🏼 Thanks so much Sam and Jess I absolutely love history, I'd love to do what you guys are doing.... thanks for sharing all your Adventures with us.. Lot's of love ❤️ & Light 🕯️ BLESSED BE 🌛🌝🌜✨💋🤟🏼☯️🧘🏼♀️💫
Brilliant intro ..love the house / bungalow like you said I bet it was a beautiful family home .I bet that's had alot of family get togethers .loved it 💖
Great Video guys. 🎥🎬 I would love to do this full time too with my hubby, but more the Paranormal side of it as I also have loads of Ghost equipment like Karl.👻👻👻👻
Missed the live. So sorry! This is a beautiful place. The outside making it’s way indoors. Just love piano music - Erik Satie Gymnopedie No1. I loathe dolls. Always have. Soul-less eyes. Lovely lovey place. The study holds lots of memories of the family.
Loved the video guy's. Beautiful place nice to see it hadn't been trashed just natural decay taking over, if that was here in the UK unfortunately it would get looted and vandalised they seem to have more respect for other people's property abroad.
I still don't understand how places like this can just be left. Why not sell the place if you aren't going to use it. And all the family heirlooms. It is such a shame. But is makes an amazing time capsule to explore. Thanks!

It's almost like the 2nd place could of been the original home, left to decay. The courtyard I'm sure was stunning once. Thank you both.
Sam and Jess, you have an amazing gift of honoring and recording these memories of times gone by. GOD, bless you. Thank you for taking us along.
So funny when Jess let off then tried to blame the stink on the mould in the bedroom

Awww guys what a lovely place was in bed early xx
Samandjessexplore Thank for another Fantastic Adventure ! So enjoyable ! x
I still don't understand how places like this can just be left. Why not sell the place if you aren't going to use it. And all the family heirlooms. It is such a shame.
But is makes an amazing time capsule to explore. Thanks!
I wonder if the family originally lived in the entire house, but when the kids left, the couple consolidated into the smaller part & closed off the rest. Sad to see all those family photos left behind. Thank you for another fantastic explore!
That’s a good possibility! 😥 Shame to see such a place go to waste.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching 🙏🏼
I'm baffled why the left the mother to fed fend for herself in such a large property it isn't safe to do so the extension is very simple kallmust have had workers live there. Did they have land too?
03:10 I love this music 🎶🥲
You both do a good job
a biutyful house fullwith love
Hello estou assistindo voçês aqui do Rio de Janeiro BRASIL
Not sure how the kids could just leave all those memories behind, looks like someone came back and cleaned things out though. Anyone else wondering what was in that massive safe?

Hello from cold Minnesota, USA…
Wat a lovely house I can't believe it's just been left 😥 I Wounder why the kids didn't come bk to claim it ? Well done guys such a beautiful video 👍👍👍
Well someone has been in there and had a good sort through everything
Very unique 👌 property.
Good morning from texas
Good morning Tressie 🙏🏼
I love y'all!! Especially when you're doing that cold open Jess! Both of you!!
Hi again, do you think the mechanical thing was a wine bottle topper, to insert corks? The lady of the property kept her hands busy. Sweet production ❤
The strange contraption in the cellar were weighing scales. You can see the platform for the sacks (probably sugar) with the weights on.
Looks quite nice kitchen
Hi sweetheart lovey video love u both xxxxxx
Very sad explore this one, they obviously cared and preserved the family history and now no one is there to carry it on, makes me wonder about the fortunes of their family in Brazil.
The safe is very similar to the one in the last episode... Key, four combi dials similar style.
I'd love a vineyard, a courtyard or a wine seller...
But with house prices in the UK I'd be saving for ten years to afford the deposit for mortgage on a crumbling chicken shed under a motorway in Slough.
