Oh wow the sight of that little tea cup and saucer with the spoon still on the rim had me in tears, some of us are so caught up in our busy lives with people all around us that we don't often think of others who must lead such a lonely existence 💔 then I seen the glasses and slippers 😭😭😭

We all occupy a little space in life, and when it's over,we move on and someone else uses the space we leave, so sad this place got left behind and unoccupied..It evokes so many feelings when I see places like this.thanks for sharing.🏡🌹💕

The invasion of the space that isn't theirs with no permission is disrespectful. Knowing that as soon as they upload the video people who watch it will descend onto the property to steal anything they see as valuable, the fact they know this will happen and say they hope no one will come to take or move anything with the tea services in the cabinet is a joke. They don't care about this place or its contents, they don't care about the people who own or owned it. They only care for the money they make uploading the video.

WOW! That was cool seeing that Olivetti Typewriter, I used to work at Olivetti in the 1970's and assembled that Typewriter the "Editor - 4" it was an expensive Typewriter and a business model from 1971 to around 1975 ....

It’s they had a love of music, cooking, livestock, and beautiful china. I hope they didn’t end up in a care home. I’m going to indulge in a bit of whimsy, and imagine that family came and took them into their own home and lavished them with loving care.

I have that exact same tea caddy from when I was a child I the 1960’s..we had two a red & a blue & used them both, they were mounted on the pantry door..I believe the red one perished but the blue one my mother kept but she put away when tea bags came out & when I moved into my own place as an adult, I asked her if I could have the blue caddy. I used it for years. It now sits pristine in my cupboard unused as I no longer drink tea & I often wonder whom I can pass it on to one day perhaps so it can be in service once again..I wish I had the original box that it came in as then it would be complete..I’m now 58 & the 1960’s seem a long way away..ever more distant & I can honestly say I would be more than happy to go back to my childhood days. It’s funny, people have become more connected in some ways because of mobile phones & internet but also more apart because of these devices.

2:40 Crikey, that’s when you know you need a new kitchen! Everything’s falling to bits! I recognise the drawers and cupboards from back in the day. We used to have a pull-down flap for a work surface too.
3:05 A Sadia hot water heater! If they weren’t adjusted right, there would be a big guff of flame when you turned the hot tap on!
14:22 you play the piano beautifully! ; )
18:15 An Olivetti electric typewriter… not seen one of them for years!
19:38 That’s a smart outfit for exploring, Jess!
It’s all very basic and tiny but it was clearly a comfortable home for someone at one time. Must have been hell in the winter, though!

I didn't realise that people just abandon places til I started watching these videos. After my parents died, we had to empty the house of everything. Each item had a story attached to it and were precious to mum and dad. It was a painful experience but we couldn't leave anything. My 3 middle aged brothers were as choked as we 3 sisters.

My friend and I have been exploring abandoned buildings lately. We came across a manor with 3 other dwellings on their land. A little bungalow open, dwelling above some stone pig sheds & a 3 rooms up, three down cottage open as well as the main house! I think we have a way into this place but it’s on the front so may be best to look in there at dusk when it’s not so busy with dog walkers.
Can’t wait to go back to see the main manor 😄

A cosy little cottage. I loved watching you explore it but when I see that there's no bathroom I'm immediately disappointed and turned off. It may be quaint but without indoor plumbing I couldn't envision living there. I remember visiting my relatives' holiday home (once their real home) in the Yorkshire Dales. When I was two the outdoor privy didn't bother me, but when I was nine I remember my mother and I would go in the garden as we couldn't stand the smell of the privy.

The old bath tub hung by one of its handles on the coal shed wall and was brought in on Saturday for a our weekly bath's the rest of the time was a stand up wash at the kitchen sink. I was 14 when we moved to house with an indoor bathroom. It was heaven 💗

Brilliant another great docuscuvery by Sam and Jess I really look forward to seeing your videos. They tell a story and show how life as it was when people enjoyed the simple things in life and were thankful.

What a lovely Welsh home. All the beautiful bone china and the sterling silver serving piece on the fireplace, and bits and bobs. What a shame no one packed everything up. Quaint explore. We loved it guys. Great find. Stay Well & Be Safe. 👍🏻

Grand Hotel G. Scheers (sticker on the suitcase) in Brussels (Belgium). The building is still there (art-deco). I do not think it is still used as a hotel.

Oh I so agree with many of these comments. It really is such an enchanting little cottage and again, I wish I could nip back in time to see it when it was loved and lived in. This one didn’t make me sad because I think they loved it and just passed away, they haven’t just left. I am sure their spirits are close.
Really loved the shots of Jess at the piano and sitting in the chair, supposedly sipping tea and reading the paper. One question where was the loo and bathroom? I didn’t even see an outside loo. Such a great job as always 💗💗

Glad you enjoyed it Trudie 🥰 We didn’t see any remains of a toilet! Mysterious 🧐 Could have been outside in the overgrowth somewhere…

Aloha Sam & Jess! What a pretty place! The China & cabinet were gorgeous! Out of curiosity for why Wales has so many empty/ abandoned homes, I looked up the Covid 19 death numbers for Wales. From an article by the BBC, the total is ( sadly)😔 around 9,775 deaths for that area. The good news is that those numbers are dropping, along with infection rates, in fact the last of restrictions are set to expire on March 28. Great video!
