    I appreciate you posting this video as we are getting ready to remodel a bathroom and are looking at a wall hung toilet. When you put the supply and drain lines in the connections inside the wall, are there seals inside that connection? I didn’t see you use any type of plastic cement. We just installed this toilet, but unfortunately we cut the two pipes 15/16" shorter because we followed the written instructions included with the toilet. This caused the toilet to dump water all over our brand new bathroom, through the wall, downstairs and into our basement. I will contact the company and hopefully they will send two new pipes, but I am not holding my breath. We should have watched your video first! I cannot even say how aggravated I am with their poorly written instructions. Hopefully we can get it to work with some new pipes.

    • @raypratt2753
      @raypratt2753 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you get this resolved with Swiss Madison? I'm about to install four of these toilets, and I couldn't figure out why I should cut an extra 15/16" off as instructed by the manufacturer. For the supply tube, that would have left ~1/2" behind the bowl and not nearly enough to engage with the inlet pipe. I searched online and really only found this video which confirmed my intuition: ignore the instructions from Swiss Madison.

    My contractor installed a swiss Madison Plaisir wall toilet for me in my bathroom but the toilet slightly moves when you sit on it... He reinforced it by adding a piece of metal underneath sticking out of the wall but I'm suspicious that he did something wrong and then just compensated for his error. Is it normal to have a little give when you sit on the toilet???

    Hey man my wife recently ordered one of these for our bathroom remodel, and I got everything installed per the manual, pretty easy and it’s a pretty cool fancy system
    I’m curious does it seem to be normal to have to hold the flush actuator buttons down for it to fully flush? Or am I missing some kind of adjustment somewhere that allows me to just push the button like a typical flush valve and walk away?

    • @dailymotivation4y0

      @@erikvaldez1076 sorry for the late reply - personally, I'd absolutely recommend. My only issues is the fact that I have two boys. Doesn't matter how many times I explain, yell or anything - they're too lazy to hold the damn button 😑 but my wife and I both absolutely love this toilet. I finished the remodel almost two years ago now, and haven't had a single issue since.
      One piece of advice if you do decide to orde this, definitely beef up the in-wall mounting. I double studded everything and I'm glad I did, especially with porcelain tile surrounding everything. Itll probably be fine regardless, but that's the only thing I've been concerned about since installing

      you shouldn't have to hold the button though, there has to be a way to increase the amount of water flushed or the length of the sticks that're behind the flush buttons. i have a Geberit model which works the same, but looks a little different and they require the button to be pressed fully down for like half a second, if you do it faster than it might stop fully flushing due to the water not able to get momentum.@@kylevernon9625

    The only down side to this is, the control panel made of all plastic, will eventually break internally (no biggie) - BUT the manufacturer will at some point, discontinue making parts for this, leaving the owner stranded. It's the only thing stopping ME from pulling the trigger on this model. I love the look of this thing, but know that the plastic mechanism will absolutely break at some point in the future leaving me without the ability to get parts. I don't want to have to completely replace the entire thing with something completely different in ten years because I can't get parts.
