- IT SHREDS! But only after some failures. In this video we show you what it took to finish, test, and then really shred our 718. We start with some simple donuts to figure out some more electronics. Then we head over to AdamLZ's to put it through some actual drift abuse. Then to Englishtown NJ for some tuning and the actual test day of RIPPING! It's not without some trouble tho. So check it out. Shoot us any questions or hype in the comments!

bro that 3 wheelin shot in the beginning was siiiick
It looks like it constantly is 3 wheelin freakin sick build.
The car looks so happy while doing that. Like it's waving to me haha
Happy Birthday, bud!
Thank you!
@@chelseadenofahappy birthday! So stoked for build content like this!
@@chelseadenofa happy B-day 🍻
@chelseadenofa Happy Birthday Chelsea!
@@chelseadenofa Happy bday mate! Stoked we share the same birth day 🤙🏽
I love this style of content. Sitting and explaining some stuff then showing the videos. Love it.
100% ma man
I agree, feels way more natural and interesting than vlogs
Its like skate documentary vibes, I dig it too
Building a mid engined modern Porsche for drifting is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I'm 90's JDM all over, having owned Supra's, Skylines and Silvias but something about this and even Taylor Ray's F80 M3 drift car, is what I really love to see lately!
As a huge drifting fan, and someone who’s works for Porsche, I’ve been praying to see someone mess around with a 718. That fact that it’s Chelsea Denofa gives me so much hope for the development of this car in this driving discipline. CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE VIDS.
And Happy Birthday dude! 🤘🏻
The car was developed and is a beautiful piece of engineering for driving. Chopping out that beautiful suspension and replacing it with shit to drift is the exact opposite.
@@trevorgarrett7602 It's great that you have no say about what he is doing with his car. It might suprise you that road racing and drift suspension setups usually don't differ much. In both you stive for grip. Only the grip is applied different. So with that conclusion road racers chop out that "beautiful suspension" and replace it with shit to grip, which is, like you said the exact opposite of "a beautiful piece of engineering for driving".
A Cayman three wheeling full opposite lock. Modern cars are frightening of efficiency. What a time to be alive. Your R&D is amazing.
What other race car driver gets their first chip, retires from the top racing class/circuit, then immediately begins expanding the motorsport by introducing a whole new chassis layout? Drifting is by far the most captivating motorsport (even without a glitzy Netflix docudrama driving from behind the scenes) and Chelsea is the most exciting, risk taking driver in in it.
It feels like 1960s Le Mans racing except Chelsea just quit Ferrari to go mid engine because no one would listen. Chelsea is giving us front rowe seats on the bleeding edge of drifting full lock foot to the floor 3 wheelin a Weissach. Wild.
Thanks for the kind words.
I remember the AW11 way back. That was cool.
Idk bout any of yall but nothings more exciting than watching Chelsea drift... like he can drift all kinds of cars and the guy absolutely shreds 🤠🤘🤘🤘
That Porsche looks so insane drifting and it sounds so cool also. I love the low key look without a wing and no big aero. It just looks so smooth and just looks so cool drifting. Honestly after watching it. it maybe one of my top 3 favorite body styles to watch drift.
Man I didn’t expect the 718 from you. All I can say now is I’m officially on the hunt for one. I feel like they are really slept on
I've been looking already myself!
Don't wait because they're all going electric in the next year or two. 981 is the best generation imo.
They're amazing grip cars as well. My 718 GTS2.5 rips at autocross in stock class, right out of the box except for wheels and tires. The 2.5 turbo flat 4 doesn't get enough love, it's responsive as hell for a turbo and has torque for days.
They're definitely not slept on, the Caymans are notorious for being one of thee best racing platforms available, this is just the first I've seen drifting.
@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 I meant slept on as In j never see any on the streets. But yeah I am definitely looking to see what I can find
This thing is BADASS! Love me some Porsche builds!
this instantly became my favorite build on TH-cam, keep the vids coming!
LetsGo! I can’t even put into words how excited I am for this! The mr2 was just a glimpse at what was capable with a mid engine layout, I always hoped you would re visit the idea but I never imagined it would be at this level. The innovation and vision is extremely refreshing
13:16 feel like this should be on a vhs skate tape
Built one on forza and been RIPPIN it love this build there needs to be more out of the ordinary build like this
It’s been my favorite Forza drift car for a few years ! It can chase anybody in tandem so easy
It’s soo good to see you this excited for something, this is what drifting is all about!!
Loving this series. The production quality is awesome and the technical stuff feeds my engineering side.
Love how it lifts a front wheel... wicked lil beast. Definitely want to see more of this.
The best drift channel on TH-cam, why doesn't it have a few million subscribers? Thank you for the wonderful content! hugs.
happy birthday my dude! always love seeing you go in this lane of content - where you develop a new platform & make it perform better than any of the old heads on the forums could have ever even imagined was possible.
It’s giving Say Howdy Get Rowdy vibes.
Looks awesome!
Bring it back! SHGR was the best series.
Man that first in car clip blew me away at how easy you made this look. Dash looks so great, still has porsche feel, but still a race car. This thing is amazing!
Im a big fan of Porsches and Drifting, I love what youre doing here, and more people need to see this. I saw you other video just days ago, and loved it. cant wait to see what this car can do
p.s. i want this car as an ac mod, that would be so awesome
Bro your killing it for a non youtube youtuber , this is a way out thing, people say they can't be controlled on the edge, looked dialed ,want to see it with some know drift chassis to see how it dose
Keep on rockin it Chelsea, this is so awesome to watch and see the talent you have
I love how the Cayman sounds. It feels like an LS running on 7 cylinders but in a good way if that makes any sense lol
The 6 definitely sounds better but the 4 pot does have alot of tuning potential
Porsche is goog. My favorite
Tha man knows how to setup, drive, perform and entertain. C’mon give this man the TIME magazine human of the millennia award
Michael essa will be falling in love with this porsche cayman 718
Yea we have talked about cayman stuff for years
This thing looks badass drifting. Your driving is insane!
Every time these videos come out I am so stoked! Can't wait for the next one!
This is one of my favorite drift builds. It looks so smooth. A porsche going sideways is unreal.
I own a 718 boxster and id never imagine seeing a flat 4 718 being drifted around like this. Unreal! Thx.
Loving this series. I had a 987.1 cayman s briefly, made some rack spacers for it and took it drifting. I could see the potential as well. The more I thought about blowing a pricey engine the stronger the pull was to sell her. Glad to see this happening! This is certainly the best choice of caymans.
Yea the 718 engines are actually cheaper and make more power. +- game for sure
This video is SO SICK!! I haven't been this hyped in a long time, crazy edit with the music and engine sounds, just love it! This build is something else..
So Rad! Who knew Porsche would look so good drifting!
Awesome.
Love the front Enkei
got me wanting to pick one of these up now!!!
Seeing the car 3 wheeling ... =EPIC!!!
Glad my comment got the aw11 added in this video :D Those three wheeling shots are epic too. Looking forward to seeing the progress on this!
Damnit Chelsea just as I was about to be able to buy one you make people like caymans🤣 Hopefully the 981's don't get the Denofa tax🤞
The In car footage looks like a casual drive so smooth man! Stoked for you! So sick!
Chelsea, keep the videos coming, I am fully invested in following the progress of this build!!!
Just INSANE! Happy Birthday man! Stay awesome!
The layout of the video was killer, driving was top tier as usual.
Ive never been a huge porshe fan but god dang this thing is sick. It looks so natural shredding like that.
Loving this build - nice seeing you build out this platform (Mike Essa is going to be jealous, lol).
@12:46 mhawwwww chefs kiss
So stoked for you!
Very smooth looking drift car, that color and profile looks incredible sideways! Congratz, looks like you have your hands full with some fun troubleshooting
This drift build gonna change the world and how people see drifting
Buddy, Jordan made that thing boogie! Props to him, the first E-town shoot I was like, "That thing would be a monster with 100hp more". Said and done, congrats dude, awesome ride. P.S. Try and do a corner balance on that thing, mid engine chassis responds nicely when it's done.
Love the way you effortlessly drive brotha, chelsea fans for life hahaha. Keep up the content! Love it!
Huge inspiration dude. I have two kids and never thought I would be able to get into cars, but getting back to school soon to be an RN. The energy is definitely motivational!
This is so Gangster !!!! I’m hyped ! This thing looks sick and quick ! Damn !!!!
Chelsea always looks so relaxed when absolutely flying an getting sideways that's why he's the champ
Happy birthday Chelsea! Thanks for the KILLER video! Keep sharing the process please!!
Love it!!!! Such an awesome build and can’t wait to see the future.
Awesome. So excited to see what this car /platform will grow to in your hands.
Damn that 3 wheel motion flatout sideways is epic!!!!! Makes me want a 718 😅
As a Porsche Restoration tech this is the bees knees my dude!
I've been a Porsche guy my entire life as my family owned an independent Porsche repair shop here in Houston. I love this build and am very excited to see how it progresses as I'd love to build one myself... However I'm still working on my S54 swapped 330ci E46.
Chelsea about to turn the drift seen upside down with this one... Luv it
It sounds soooo good. Imagine an RWB kit with it too. It would be gorgeous.
Your video style takes me back to 2015 tuerck/ forsburg videos love it and damn you killed it the entire time love the car and the build👍🤘
Keep killing it Chelsea
what a build its looks clean
Chelsea and Sultan both finishing the book that Hankook tire started with their Formula D Porsche what feels like a million years ago.
Yea for sure. I went mid engine for various reasons, also I could never afford to drift the Hankook one… that car is worth 5-600k
Fire content like allways , loving this new build stoked to see the progression❤
Happy Birthday drift king 👑
Shoutout from Seattle
That thing three wheels everywhere haha gangster AF, cant wait to see what else you guys do to the platform
My family raced porsches for a long time. The set up is perfect when that front tire hangs about an inch off the ground. 😊 👍
This style content is fantastic so thanks for that. Also of course the car works you can literally drift anything.
The 718 cayman and boxster sibiling look so good. Peak Porsche.
These videos are the best content out there at the mo. Superb work team
4:03 I would not have expected them to have worked on this for over 6 months now. They really did keep that project on the low.
So good! It’s mannerisms look way different than you’d expect being heavier in the rear. Thing rips!
keep it going ❤ this bulding process brings alot to us. And the baller driving scenes with that kind of music, made my day. Thank you Sir!
The shots in this were incredible!
The amount of front bite you got out of it is actually wild. I’m fucking loving this build.
Happy birthday bro! This car is siiiiiick. Stoked for this journey for you!
Appreciate it!!
never seen a drifting Porsche, excited about the development. sick build great idea!
This is dope, kinda new here but I would like to hear more about the different handling characteristics between fr and mr layouts and what you do to make it manage well in terms of suspension tweaks and driving style! I remember watching one of your videos way back and you spoke on suspension geometry and bump steer and that was cool as shit
SICK!!!!!!!!! the car trikes like crazy.... it looked hooked up and fast 🙂
Watching other driver that always take the inside line even tho its a sweeper rather than outer line first corner kinda infuriates me, they are drifting not road racing. I noticed that chelsea take the outer line in the first corner kinda makes me happy. And the wheel work is just beautiful
More and more exotic cars are being built into drift cars, and I love it! Happy birthday DeNofa!
happy b day chelsea never forget some of us are still here to soak all the knowledge up
First off this will 100% become a legendary video in the future. Man seeing a Porsche three wheel while sideways is awesome😭 my only concern is how much the motor would be if it were to go? Anyways happy birthday, keep up the great work you’re doing for the drifting community around the world 🤙🏼
Happy Birthday Mr. Denofa
amazing project! best of luck champ
Dude your an absolute beast behind the wheel. Love the 3 wheelin shots Happy Birthday Champ enjoy dude. 🤙
I've never been a big fan of Porsche, but man this thing is so good
Three wheeled drift, that guy knows what he‘s doing.
Hell yeah Chelsea. This is dope! Stoked to see you develop this car! Would love some more technical info on suspension setup or just in general with changes you make to get a better understanding as to how that translates into car feel.
how you drive is so smooth and so nice to look at
Being a Porsche tech this is the series I'm by far the most excited about
That Back to the Future helmet looks sick! Happy Birthday man and good edit love the skate vid vibes dude
This thing rips! 🔥
bruh you look so at home in the car its unreal! Keep killing it!
HBDand that dyno graph... power for days, going to be so usable.
