I knew Chelsea was going to do some rad shit when he left FD. I could’ve never imagined he’d turn into the retired uncle that is always at the coolest shit with the coolest cars
Next time your down in Florida you should hop on the cooper bogetti podcast! Could listen to you talk for hours, it’s cool to hear your thoughts on the current state of fd ruling and judging as a true vet in the game. Glad you got to vacay and have fun with tj and the boys youve all earned it!
You should 100% be doing the track walk / grid interviews etc live as part of the FD broadcast. Chelsea DeNofa, the Martin Brundle of FD 🤣 (In the driver's perspective as a commentator/presenter, not relative success) Would be so much better than the generic interviewers you see in american racing.
That flick at 11:04 looked so frickin cool. Something about the way a Porsche transfers on turn in makes me crave a pile of flapjacks with a huge pat of butter
Sultan has his LS powered 911 too. Older Porsches used to go everywhere sideways or at least out of the corners in the Turbos they did 🤣 (Often not on the road anymore)
@@KSwapTheWorld69I’ll start out by saying that I’m a honda guy as well but there’s a reason why the LS and JZ is so widely used. Pro drifting isn’t about doing something different. You use what is proven and reliable and those are it.
@chelseadenofa do you find that the weight transfer is strange, maybe like sectioned or was that just visual because with the tandem with Grant his was one snappy motion and yours seemed front moved then the rear weight brought it the rest of the way around
His FD round breakdowns are great for casuals like me to understand what's going on in the drivers seat and with the vehicle dynamics, highly recommend

Super sick video dude! I’m just curious, could you do a water injector similar to diesel to help with intake/exhaust temps? But at a lower scale. I used to tractor pull with a turbo diesel and would run windshield washer fluid instead of water into the turbo cause it has alcohol in it and would cool better.
@@chelseadenofa true, you still got washer fluid sprayer in the engine bay? Re route the hose to spray on intercooler with ice water on cool down laps?
I know you arent a big sim drift guy, but sone guy made a "denofa" drift porsche and Im dying to know if its at all close. Also would love a video breaking down whats unrealistic vs realistic in the sim from ya
For the foxbodys turbo setup since youve already stuck a ton of money into it, maybe try a Pulsar turbo. Theyre true dual ball bearing turbos n even tho theyre chinese theyre literally extremely stout n great quality (on par with Precision, BW, sometimes even better than both) I just got their Gen3 GTX3584 T4div.0.85A/R for my 2jz gs300 w/T51R mod n the tubro was $999. Its incredibly responsive for being a bigger turbo (.72a/r compressor .85a/r exhaust) i bet their G30-600 would be a amazing on the fox body.
@chelseadenofa I've watch the video and in there you explained the same I experienced: the car has a lot of forward grip in drift... and therefore I think it would be a bad choice to try and compete with... because of the different way the car gets around the track... I think if you put an mr2 against any other drift car like nissan or bmw etc... you get in the situation if you would ride the lead run, you wouldn't be able to make such big angle and drive away from the guy behind you... en when In the chase you wouldn't be able to maintain as nuch angle and consistent speed because of the forward grip... I know weight ratio has a big impact on the car. But would there be a difference in like... 50-50 with a FR Car compared to 50-50 with a MR Car....🤔🤪
Came here just to see what's going on with the Fox! What's the matter?! New turbo setup not working good? What turbo is it? I'm a big 4 cylinder Ecoboost guy, would love to build an Ecoboost Mustang drift car some day so knowing what turbo is in there that isn't working would help! Thanks!
@@chelseadenofa Got it, I appreciate it! I was thinking about doing the NX2 turbo because it seemed like a good all around turbo. But if the aftermarket turbos have been problematic, that's definitely good to know. Thank you!
@@chelseadenofa Okay that's great to hear, that's what I was thinking as well. Sounds like the NX2 gives good response and torque low, but added power and higher in the rpm too! So I was thinking the same! Thank you Chelsea!

A: Oh! B: You found money? A: No a fresh 10m nut! B: ah.. Just another day in the life of a true car enthusiast. I feel it. Nuts and bolts are expensive.. its insane.
Why have you gone so crazy in turbski setup in fox as stock turbo was working quite well? (ofcourse when was working :) ). Such huge tubular manifold without heat wrap had to end bad...beeing ohnest, quite weird turn off event knowing your overall setup knowladge :P
This is what happens when you trust the internet and other people. I never do, but I did and we spent more time trying to make the setup work because of the old turbo failing and not being able to get another one in time. The runners are 14” in total length and the diameter is correct. Obviously coating the manifold and moving something’s around would help tremendously. BUT, we had zero time and just had to let it ride. Trust me, I’m going back to the previous setup until I have time to do the bigger turbo on my own. The reason for going to the larger turbo… we were running 30psi and making a lot of heat and backpressure up top, while already limiting the boost and torque down low as the old turbo could to make 400ftlbs as low as 2500rpm. So the plan was to build something modular that we could actually use normal turbos on (the turbo bolts straight to the head flange on these engines). But unfortunately the mark was missed at a bad time.
Is there not a better track anywhere around that area? The surface there is dire, it's worse than Irish roads, and that's bad. What makes it even worse, is that teams are meant to thrash a quarter mil worth of car over it. Come on FD, at a certain point, sentimentality has to go out the window, and team budget and driver safety needs to be looked at. E-town is for banger cars, not cars that could set decent times up pikes peak. FD need to splash out a little on renting decent tracks for events. I'm sure they can afford it..... How bout having a year with all new tracks? Like drift masters switch it up every year, keep some, change some, plus it puts everyone on the same card because a track is new to everyone.... Just a thought...
ya bois need to wear helmets drifting those surfboards fr fr :D this just seemed like you guys are safer pulling handbrakes at like 80mph toward a wall
2 rear tires off on an outer zone being a zero is a questionable rule. It literally punishes you for driving with more angle. 2 on the same side being off I understand.
I knew Chelsea was going to do some rad shit when he left FD. I could’ve never imagined he’d turn into the retired uncle that is always at the coolest shit with the coolest cars
