Yes, I ran these through a GoXLR mini which has a built-in amp. Anything above 80 ohms and above it's recommended you use an amp. I actually have since switched to a pair of Sennheiser HD 599's. If I still had the Beyerdynamic DT 990's I certainly would've tested these without an amp for you.
Yes definitely on the pricier side for sure. With my TH-cam channel, the occasional Twitch streaming and eventually MAYBE a podcast I decided to make the leap. :)
@@papabefun Yeah i understand! Did some research. and found a guy who is using a 600ohm sennheiser headset right into the pc.. so i think its fine to run a 250ohm :) and a man who just plugs the 990pro into the audio jack :P
This here is the one and only PAPA B LEGEND. I highly recommend tuning into his videos, they are informational and insightful!
Nice review. Deserves more popularity.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Thank you for making this as I was concerned I received an open box item because they’re terrible at packaging.
I thought the same thing when I first received mine as well. Glad I could help!

Hey, do you use an amp. Or do you just plug it right into your computer?

This Headphones is a Cocktail of Trebles.
One of the things I read before buying was how loud the highs were and that's 100% the truth. I'm no audiophile for sure, but the trebles are crisp.
You can tear off those stickers all you want. I know where you live.
Shhhhhh :)
