Our FIRST Moab EJS Experience!! Trail Ride With

- We finally got Both the JK and LJ ready to hit the road for a road trip out to Moab Utah for Easter Jeep Safari 2022! Luckily we made it out there without any major issues, and we headed straight to the trails. Our first stop was Hells Revenge, luckily we ran into @DirtLifestyle and @TheStoryTillNow! We had a great time on Hells Revenge and the fun obstacles it had to offer.
The next day we drove around Moab searching for some trails, and eventually ended up at the Moab Brewery for the Barnes4WD Meet n Greet. In which we met right back up in the morning for the Group ride with @MattsOffRoadRecovery , @JeepGearGadgets , @Rudysadventureanddesignreal , @barnes4wd and about 20 other rigs! We made it all the way to the Top of the World, with some challenging rock crawling along the way.

Would you do a quick video of the logistics of planning the trip and getting into trail ride groups? I am planning on going next year. Thank you for your time.
Plan the trip on your own. Book early for EJS group rides. Check out Red Rock 4 wheelers for trail requirements. Save up enough money and go for it. Worth it at twice the cost.
Getting into the group rides with the big companies I don’t know. I stumbled into and got invited on one with the dynatrac group by Jim the owner of dynatrac. So cool to wheel with them. Pretty sure that was a once in a lifetime thing and happened by dumb luck. I went out there solo and met up with people at the trailheads and along the trail. What an awesome experience.

@@troybilt6752 I stayed 50 miles from Moab in Green River to save hotel money since Moab is so expensive during EJS. If I were doing it over again I wouldn’t do that. I’d book early to save what I could and pay a premium to be right there in town. You’ll have a blast if you like jeeps and 4 wheeling which I’m sure you do if you’re on this channel. Can’t wait to go back. Check out the RR4W club that puts it on. You can even buy a magazine from this year to give you an idea of what’s they do.
Just upgraded the Bumble Jeep to 33's and am in the process of adding an additional 1.5-2" of lift. Just finished up the rear suspension and am getting ready to lift the front from 3" to 4.5". I would like to run 35's but I refuse to cut the body. Pretty sure cutting the body would be the only way to fit 35's. I'm hoping to make some event, not sure which one I can make, in the next year or two. I think east coast will most likely be my first event, but would love to make a western event. Guys, I really thought you did a great job recording, and also adding some nice talking shots.
It’s so funny, but ya know all the off road channels are out there to do this or hang with Jeep. And a whole other crowd of hiking and backpacking TH-cam channels were out there the same weekend shooting epic hiking and gear videos. This last week has been all Utah in my notifications, lol!!!
Moab is Awesome! I would like to run top of the world backwards, but you need to go to Saint George, I actually enjoy it more then Moab and it’s not quite as busy.
I enjoy watching your videos they are very informative and I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler with a 3.6 pinstar on stock diff”s with 35”s with a 4.56 gears and locker in the front and aftermarket exhaust with throttle response upgrade and aftermarket front and rear bumper and 9500winch
What comes up must come down is right but… if it last more the 4 hours talk with your doctor. Haha. Great video. Keep it up.

Next time do Top of the world and be up there for sunset..... awesome.... and the ride down in the dark is cool too... and if you stop and shut off your lights you can see satellites flying over head... Do "Onion creek" to "Rose garden hill" ( do lunch on that trail) to "Top of the world.. takes all day... love the vids... hollar.....
Youve got to do Kane Creek again, its by far my favorite trail out their! So unique and you wont find anything else like it.

Oh man, sorry I missed you. We were there Thursday till Sunday. We did do Top of the World in my Gladiator with 35" and no lockers and it did awesome.
Gladiators were doing great out at Moab! The wheelbase is nice there

Im curious how you liked the wheelbase of the JKU vs the LJ? I have both and did Moab last year in the JKU and am considering taking the LJ this year instead.......Im at 106 in my LJ.

So are lifts and 35”+ tires necessary for this? Would a stock Rubicon 4xe be able to do everything in the video?
A rubicon could do all of this, however you will need to have some experience behind the wheel. A lot of the harder obstacles will have bypasses. Just expect to use your skid plates as they were designed 🤙🏻

Would you take a gladiator Mojave with 35’s to Moab? I have a 1”spacer lift on the back. My wife and I want to drive out there from NY next year. Any upgrades needed?
I would! I saw a ton of gladiators out there
Spent 5 days in moab back in 2018. Should have done 2 weeks.
I think your next upgrade should be a diesel pick up truck with a 32 foot gooseneck trailer that way you don’t have to drive your junk out there ,you can just beat on it the whole time you’re out there and then just haul it home
Personally I think driving out and back is part of the whole Jeep experience

Our Jeep trips usually around mid summer in Texas. Long trips in mid 90’s, high humidity, and slow Jeeps 👎🏼
You get on metalcloak flex trailer ? I watched and learned some things about flexing and score makes jeep better. Hey what anyone can things you covered improve your rig and repairs in own garage why we love off road trailing .

Soooo, after 1600miles how'd them diesel springs ride?
Ride has been much better, but it almost seems like they are starting to break in and settle out some. We will see if even stiffer springs are needed lol
@JK Gear and Gadgets what would be stiffer!? Lol. I was thinking about going to 4.5" until you posted the diesel springs. I'm always on the bumpstops I feel like, especially after how much the LS swap lifts the nose

Scotch lock wire taps should be outlawed. They are junk. Good job at Moab . Go figure how Utah can be so beautiful, with everything being brown, but it is.
Lol I HATE them, but they can be helpful when setting up wiring for a test fire. Sadly we overlooked it and forgot to make it a permanent connection
