I swapped to v2 pro after my g pro wireless start having right click issues (26 days after warranty ends). I gave it to my dad for father's day, it is still functioning well for regular user. But for someone that uses it to game, it is not fun when you zoom in to snipe, the gun zooms back out. :v Also main reason I swapped is due to camera not turning in FF14 because you need to hold down right click down for the camera to turn. Sometimes the right click doesn't work, you die in raids because you can't turn the camera in the middle of the fight and dies. It happens 95%-99% of the time and it is not fun when it happens. I wish Logitech made a variant of the G Pro X Superlight with their "infinite" scroll wheel technology, I just can't get used to standard scroll wheels anymore, but it's only available in their bulkier mice. And apparently they have a patent on the technology, so noone else can make a small mouse with that feature.
Maybe make a video about the best controllers? As a controller junkie I would recommend the PowerA Enhanced Xbox Controller, PowerA Nintendo Switch Wired Controllers, Razer Wolverine, Xbox Series Elite Controller, Sony Dualsense Controller, PowerA Wireless GameCube style controller and Xbox 360 controller.
The Superlight is such a great mouse and it's hard to use anything else after it. I mean, I haven't felt compelled to look at anything else after it except something like a Zaunkoenig which sounds surreal. But trying to use my old G305 after the Superlight felt so clunky. Then again, there's a mouse for every preference and I have a friend who swears by his Viper Ultimate.
Honestly, the Zaunkoenig with a braided bare cable is like holding air. The cable was the only bit I didn't love about mine, but now it feels wireless. And it does this all while looking better than honeycomb mice in my opinion.
Yeah it's totally subjective just like how a lot of people still swear by their Zowies. I, myself, find the GPX to be perfect for my relaxed claw and i can see myself not wasting anymore money on mice for a foreseeable future.
The viper mini is the best sub 50 dollar mouse hands down. Punches way above its weight, it’s super light and build quality is good. The wire isn’t even a big deal to me personally, I barely notice it when the rest of the wire falls underneath the table
I do wonder if the sensor lag numbers are at all influenced by the inertia of the mice (though that would track to real world use as the lighter mice have less inertia in your hand as well).
I bought an MM731 last week for 30 euros. It seemed to be the best value for the money. Best sensor on the market, optical switches, optional wired/wireless and super lightweight under 59g. I couldn't find anything that resembles this package at even double the price.
i usually have a bad attention span but when it comes to your videos, linus, and that one old white dude named Jay, I just never see myself looking away
Something about the starlight phantom just didn’t feel right. I had random full disconnects mid competitive game with battery still left. As soon as I went back to my MM710 wired mouse, it instantly felt more consistent and predictable than my starlight 12. I bought the starlight hades as well and had issues with it too. I used them for months and just never felt consistent. I pre ordered the MZ1 wireless, so I’m waiting for that. Im definitely excited for you to start testing sensor accuracy since I feel like that is the biggest difference between all the top wireless mice after my Finalmouse experience.
I felt the same way when I used my FM starlight phantom with the original firmware it came with. It just felt like my shots were behind what I was shooting at all the time. Then I updated to the newest firmware 1.6 and it’s night and day. Way better and it’s my best mouse now
I’m still rocking the G305 my brother gave me a year ago. Got a lithium AAA and cut down adapter in it to save weight, and for the amount of gaming I do I love it.
I just upgraded from my old HyperX Pulsefire FPS which I bought 4 and a half years ago to a G PRO X Superlight and oh my god I felt the difference in like 1 second of opening it (Which was a few hours ago lmao). At first it felt like a toy because of how light it is, really feels like it is hollow inside, but man, I started a deathmatch in CSGO and felt GODLIKE, the mouse is just perfect. I'm still adapting to the new shape since it's a waay smaller mouse than I'm used to, but it already feels AMAZING. Couldn't be happier.
G502 is my personal favorite and idk why but i really like adding all the weights. I play w high sensitivity 1000-1250 dpi and really like the way it feels
I don't want to cannibalize your youtube views or anything, but I find myself looking through many youtube videos trying to find your data on different mice. You rightfully compare the Superlight and Razer products in almost all charts, but the other ones vary. I basically just want to have a picture of ALL the data you have because it's the best I've seen. If you happen to have that and could drop it in a google doc or something, I'd be so grateful. If you can't, I might go ahead and look through all your videos and compile it myself.
Hmm yes very nice. I have the razer v2 pro, and love it. By this point in gaming mice its really just delay, and shape. Not so much as weight cause the weight difference is so small till you get to the finalmouse.

As someone who uses their mouse in the left hand this video makes a bitme sad. I can't use any of these mice because they are excusily designed for left hand use.. Well maybe not the 300 bucks mouse but that is 1. Expensive and only isn't because it 2. Just a symmetrical mouse (probably for weight an because it doesn't have side button, which are kinda important for me). Every top of the line gaming mouse either is designed for exclusive left hand use, there are no exclusive left handed mice because only few people use their mouse with the left. Ambidextrous mice are per definition worse than designs for one hand (+they weight more due to more buttons etc.). I don't want to take the fun away from all you righties who are probably 90% of the gamers watching this great video, These mice all look sick, I just wish for a left handed superlight - Logitech could definitely afford to try any maybe they find a small niche...
Note: After checking out many mice I think it's worth looking for the right shape for our grip. I played with a superlight for a while but went back to a razer viper and my kovaaks scores were instantly better.
Very good content and video, good lighting, color, data showing method (charts), gameplay etc. Keep it up! I have a question to ask, does anyone game with office mice? XD
I love the lovethe flatness of the viper, even though i have large hands, my gripstyle just fits it so well. I should mention that i have modifyed it to make it wider at curve where my pinkey sits, making it basically flat on the left side.
Would be great if you could include mice from Roccat (kone air pro, burst) and Steelseries (prime) since they are also on of the "mainstream" mice a lot of people are using :)
After going through countless gaming mouses in the past few years, the superlight is the one I settled on. Well rounded and cost is reasonable unlike the M2K
Pulsar X2/X2 Mini, Glorious Series One/ Model O Pro, LGG LA-1, XM2w, Vancer M1/N1, New Razer Deathadder, (Viper Mini Wireless??? copium). It is about to be a crazy 2nd half of the year for gaming mice!
Glad you added the qualification around the latency being inconsequential to 98% of players. Still very interesting and kudos to your testing rig efforts - very cool. Looking forward to your Endgame XM2w review... :)
I suspect there might be a defect in your sensor movement latency test methodology. (I also might be completely wrong.) I'm going to exaggerate the numbers from now on for the ease of understanding. Let's say the two mice have the exact same sensor which detects a movement when 1mm is moved. Mouse A weighs about 100g and Mouse B weighs about 200g. Since your rig outputs the same amount of force and torque every time. The time to Move Mouse A, B 1mm is gonna be different. (because Mouse B weighs twice more, the time is gonna differ about 2^(1/2) in my calculation). Again I'm exaggerating some numbers so it might not matter but also we're talking miliseconds territory so I think there is a fat chance that this adds up and have an impact on the Sensor Movement latency. This could explain why M2K performs so well. Then again I might be completely wrong so feel free to object
You could test this systematic bias by testing mice with the same sensor, pulling rate, DPI etc. essentially keeping other variables same other than weight. And check if the latency increases somewhat proportionally to the weight of the mouse.
After bad communications with Corsair Support I decided to go with a new mouse instead having the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless replaced. Found a great deal for a Logitech G Pro Wirelss and I love that mouse. It's perfect for my hand and it feels so much better in use than the Corsair one. Wireless is a dream and it has great battery life. Cheaper than the Sabre but better in every aspect lol.
The superlight is great but disappointed me after using it for 1 year. The side buttons got double click issue, the scroll wheel is not working, the main clicks feel less tactical. not expected from a 150$ mouse :)
Yeah, it's a shame, but this August the lovechild of Orochi v2 and G305 called Fantech Aria (59g iirc) is going to be released and it might be the closest thing to what you want.
@@scarletvan4749 Well I am looking forward to the Hati S Plus which is has a solid shell and is a bit larger than my main (Hati S) and the Pulsar X2 Mini, which looks very promising.

Great review and awesome benchmarks/rig. I actually also have all 3 of these mice... I think there's something to be said about how mushy the sidebuttons on the superlight are. The coating is A+++ and the reason why I gravitate towards it...but the side buttons are strait mushy booty and pretty bad for something like Fortnite if you have building binds on them. Razer now has a similar feature on the Basilisk (also bulky) so maybe they'll move it over to one of their lighter mice eventually.
Using a g604 for that very reason lol.
That's the video that I was waiting!
A tier list would be amazing
I'm not into competitive gaming, that's why I pick Logitech G703 for maximum comfort when using right hand.
Polite,humble and in depth review.
Subbed keep up the hard work
thanks for doing the input lag test on the viper mini, I got small hands, so it's good to know that my very few options are good ones!
Only Reviewer i can trust on mouse reviews because no other tech channels can can actually frag.
i usually have a bad attention span but when it comes to your videos, linus, and that one old white dude named Jay, I just never see myself looking away
Im so excited to see that testing equipment mature some more! Great vid!
Way better and it’s my best mouse now
I assuming you already got the MZ1 Wireless, how does it fell compared to the starlight?
I have the Viper 8k ESL Edition and I love it.
Really looking forward to the MZ1 wireless review!
I’m still rocking the G305 my brother gave me a year ago. Got a lithium AAA and cut down adapter in it to save weight, and for the amount of gaming I do I love it.
I would be really curious to see how some steelseries units measure up alongside what you have already tested.
As always, great work Ali 👌
Seriously so cool you've got the testing machine, so good. Even LTT doesn't bother with this and they're huge!
I've tried many different gaming mice but i keep coming back to Glorious O and D models. Feel the best and most comfy to me.
7:57 300IQ gameplay right there
I just upgraded from my old HyperX Pulsefire FPS which I bought 4 and a half years ago to a G PRO X Superlight and oh my god I felt the difference in like 1 second of opening it (Which was a few hours ago lmao). Couldn't be happier.
one guy doing all this, Ali ur a top content creator son keep it up
Love the rig, can't wait til it's fully operational. Hopefully we'll get some stellar data, thank you!
G502 is my personal favorite and idk why but i really like adding all the weights. I play w high sensitivity 1000-1250 dpi and really like the way it feels
Took me so long to scroll down this to find someone else calling it out. Same.
Ali really needs to mention more about his efforts in these crazy review purpose custom machines he built.
I personally use the Roccat Kone Pro Air, to me that’s the perfect ergo wireless shape and quite light.
Love the Roccat shape, too. Hope later versions of the mouse fix some of the issues it has.
kone pro air was great until it broke 1 year later for me.
@@KontrolStyle You should be able to get a replacement, it has a 2 year warranty in most places.
You mean Zaunkoenig M2K ,finalmouse is shit
@@ezioauditore1588 Yeah I mean finalmouse, but the Zaunkoenig M2K is kinda down bad cause I own the razer 8k and theres no diff between 8k and 1k pulling rate.
@@noaimloser4335 viper is too heavy +bad cable to take advantage of 8khz.
viper8k-> Zaunkoenig M2K(lowest weight + lightest switch on the market +lowest latency+much better cable) is bigger upradge than gpx->superlight or viper ultimate-> viper v2 pro.
But to see difference you need atleast +240hz monitor + locked cpu mhz to usb be stable at 8khz .With 480hz next year the difference will be more visible)
@@ezioauditore1588 Ima nervous for the 480hz though. people that buy it will have a hard time using it, and the price of it might be the scariest thing LOL
@@noaimloser4335 I doubt it will more than 1k usd .Best esport monitor is acer 390hz for 300-400usd right now:d
is the m2k your new main? would you recommend it to a fingertip user on the viper mini?
What an outstanding comparison. Need more of these boss!!
fps veteran and amazing testing methods. best gaming peripheral reviewer
I don't want to take the fun away from all you righties who are probably 90% of the gamers watching this great video,
These mice all look sick, I just wish for a left handed superlight - Logitech could definitely afford to try any maybe they find a small niche...
Note:
After checking out many mice I think it's worth looking for the right shape for our grip.
I played with a superlight for a while but went back to a razer viper and my kovaaks scores were instantly better.
Very good content and video, good lighting, color, data showing method (charts), gameplay etc. Keep it up!
I have a question to ask, does anyone game with office mice? XD
after using the superlight for 6 months i gonna stay with it i love it.
I love the lovethe flatness of the viper, even though i have large hands, my gripstyle just fits it so well. I should mention that i have modifyed it to make it wider at curve where my pinkey sits, making it basically flat on the left side.
Bought a razer viper ultimate last year, and I'm never goin back to wired again. Love it !
Would be great if you could include mice from Roccat (kone air pro, burst) and Steelseries (prime) since they are also on of the "mainstream" mice a lot of people are using :)
roccat mouse are all dogshit
After going through countless gaming mouses in the past few years, the superlight is the one I settled on. Well rounded and cost is reasonable unlike the M2K
I'm surprised to not see the mk2 in this video. Is there any reason for that beyond pricing and availability?
TIERLIST BIG YESS! LOOKING FORWARD
I always enjoy your videos, definitely going SFF because of your Videos. Cheers
Great vid! Maybe talk about battery life and switches/click feel for future vids like this
Glad you added the qualification around the latency being inconsequential to 98% of players. Still very interesting and kudos to your testing rig efforts - very cool. Looking forward to your Endgame XM2w review... :)
When he talked about the consideration of machine errors for the tracking I HAD to leave a like. Keep it up! l would love to see that test improved.
I switched from a gpx to the shroud g303 last week and I have zero regrets
RMA it then?
I love the look and feel of the G Pro X Superlight but refuse to buy another micro USB device. Everything else I own is USB C at this point
the invention of micro usb is humanity's greatest mistake
Man I just want that M3K with the updated sensor hnnng. Oh and perhaps a slightly more flexible cable.
The problem with the superligth is the crappy omron switches and the micro usb port. It desperately needs an update.
I don’t know why Logitech can’t make a g305 super light. I love the shape.
Yeah, it's a shame, but this August the lovechild of Orochi v2 and G305 called Fantech Aria (59g iirc) is going to be released and it might be the closest thing to what you want.
@@scarletvan4749 Well I am looking forward to the Hati S Plus which is has a solid shell and is a bit larger than my main (Hati S) and the Pulsar X2 Mini, which looks very promising.
please tell me what is better to buy Zaunkoenig M2K or finalmouse?
we need a chart for less worst softwares on mouse D:
as always great work
A1 content right here. Will still be holding onto my Viper ultimate for the time being. Didn’t you swap your switches in your g pro?
I gotta say I keep on going back to the razer orochi v2 for the shape and size for shooters. I just have better control when using it. I have a hyperx swift and an aerox 9 (for mmos) as well and while I like the hyperx for everyday more I really do better with the razer orochi and got it for less than $40. I'd be tempted to try the ultralight but I really can't justify the price difference.
V2pro and Finalmouse side buttons are leaps and bounds better imo
Good video, I'm between the Logitech x Shroud G303 Shroud Edition and the Razer Viper Ultimate, which one do you think is the best option?
Why is no one covering the Model O Pro??
You are definitely right when it comes to option. So many good options these days.
This is the only place I go for opinions on what to buy. Trust your opinion implicitly
5:44 That zoom to the enemies' message trying to counter Optimum lol
Wow! Getting really tech now! Your just really making me want to change my G-pro for a superlight. Congrats on another great video!
