Really enjoyed that 2 part series mate, that old shed reminded me of my uncle Snowy's (RIP) saddling shed he has on his property and if I didn't learn anything else (which I did), I learnt a new word today "precipitous". I have never heard that word used before today, so I just had to look it up and at the very least, it will make me a bit more perspicacious that I was a few moments ago. Cheers 👍
It is a true pleasure to watch Your videos , have done that for several years and i enjoy tem a lot. Thanks for sharing and have a Happy New year from Ww2HistoryHunter
Thanks for your comment and support of our channel WW2HH, we really enjoy your explorations too - Happy New Year and Happy Fossicking! Colleen and Warren.
Great video mate. Your videos have inspired me to give get out and do some detecting. I am using the at gold detector. How do you find it would you suggest a bigger coil. Cheers
G'day Tony - thanks for watching mate. The AT Gold is a brilliant prospecting detector and relic machine too. I always recommend purchasing the larger 8.5" x 11" DD as an accessory (get an extra shaft with it too), which allows you to cover more ground if you are working the flats or even for relic hunting. The little coil is red hot on small gold, the big one is great for a little more depth and more coverage per swing. Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.
Great video Warren, I especially like the ships ring you found, to me it is the find of your trip, but then what would I know, some of those Chinese coins could be better, maybe some rare ones among them. Do you do metal detecting trips for paying customers?
Thanks for your great comment Daryl, we love finding those historic Chinese coins and the ring is a ripper. We don't do detecting trips as such, not sure if anyone in Queensland does? Definitely gold trips offered in Victoria and WA bu a number of operators. Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.
Thanks for your comment - we use Australian 'Walco' brand pics, but there are a number of other manufacturers, including Garrett who make a 'Retriever II' (steel handle and rare earth magnet attached). You may be able to get Aussie 'Walco' or 'CC' Prospecting pics from a Metal Detecting shop in the UK. All the best and Happy Fossicking! Warren.
Remarkable, the Chinese miners dropped a lot of coins. Strange, I have read back in those days the Chinaman would take on any job to earn income. Great video, thank you.
Good point Hugh - I need to take more snake precautions. We are planning some hunts this year in thick bushland know for snakes, so I will take your advice! LOL. Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.
