EuniUnni has uploaded a video with someone who works for VT and they answered a lot of questions! The reedles fall off eventually (most likely after 3 days). They don't get absorbed in the skin~ th-cam.com/video/Uz5ENIJQnNY/w-d-xo.html

I love the Reedle Shot 300. I’ve never used a skincare product that truly improved the smoothness and hydration of my skin and (most importantly for me) reduced the redness I’m prone to…all overnight after one application! It’s viral for a reason!
It sounds scary, but it’s a great product and it doesn’t hurt to use. It feels a bit prickly, but it’s not uncomfortable at all.
I love Dr Dray. But, as a doctor, the advice she gives has to be based on research (and rightly so). And there isn’t much research on the Reedle shot because it’s 1) a cosmetic product and 2) it’s a new kind of cosmetic product. So she kinda can’t recommend it yet. And I respect that.
However, my skin clearly has legitimately benefited from this product, so I’m willing to be a trailblazing early adopter in this case. It has reduced the baseline redness and irritation/rosacea that I’m prone to in a way that nothing else has.
This product is not “for” someone who is completely risk adverse. It’s also not “for” someone who is prone to “overdoing things”. But if you’re ok trying something genuinely new and you’re willing to follow the product instructions then give it a try.

The fact that there "isn't much research" that a doctor has pointed out is what gives me pause, as we're talking about our bodies and our health. It's great to hear about the terrific results people are experiencing, but I'm not willing to try it yet.

You need to have a long term research to know if something is harmful or not. Many years. Something can be fine for few years but down the line they can find that it actually causing problem. Just like they are founding out now what long term Botox actually does to the muscles.

Yes, I watched her video but this product’s been out for four years sold under a Japanese brand medi lift needle lift cream. The Japanese seem to really like this stuff and they like it more because VT is a lot cheaper.😮

Yes you’re right. This is only new to Americans 😂 Reedle cream have been around for about 10 years according to my knowledge if not more in Japan and Korea. yes it is safe and yes the do fall out this is not new. I do like the VT cream brand better since it came out.

I was negative at first because it was a viral product, but I ended up buying it out of curiosity, and now it's become a product I can't live without. It felt good right after using it, but after using it for a long time, my skin feels firmer and healthier. It's like a product that really makes your skin healthy unlike regular cosmetics.

In my opinion, just try this product to suit your skin concerns. I've been using it for a long time (purchased in Japan per year), but it's safe, and my skin has definitely changed

I was shocked how well this works!! I bought the 300 and use it in rotation with other skincare. VT 300 one night then a retinal serum the next night and then an AHA cream. The 3 day rotation has been great. It’s given me smooth even skin, clearing up a few red bumps and texture. I really am surprised how much I like this serum.

I bought this serum before watching Dr Dray"s review and I'm glad I did as i felt her review scared a lot of people off it. It works for me, I use it intermittently while also using tretinoin and red light mask therapy, so I don't use it every day anyway. I have stubborn hyperpigmentation and I feel it has improved since introducing the reedle serum. I appreciate medical/non sponsored opinions, but ultimately it's your decision and what"s best for you.

I think I’m one of the people who are okay with her releasing a video like that and still buy the product, as a dermatologist she just wants to see more data and she did even say that she would want to be proven wrong and there is nothing wrong with that, it just makes us want to research more and make sure not to buy any product recklessly, nothing wrong with being skeptical for our skin. And it doesn’t hurt credibility for her to see more data. Maybe her thumbnail might be clickbait but I honestly do not mind? Like it makes me want to do more research and some people don’t just buy because of trend or peer pressure but ensure that they’re getting or using. There are horror stories of cheap spicules. Also this product is researched in Japan and probably is not available in English.

I don't know about using in the morning, since its a penetration enhancer and we don't want to enhance sunscreen??... I believe the brand recommendations are to use only at night! and to use first in the routine in order to get the best results!! the way I've been using is right after my hydrating toner, and before ingredients that are known to have bad penetration, like copper peptides... I try to do a simple routine since the pricking sensation continues as long as you keep putting more products on! but for me the 300 every 3 days has been working amazing!... Also about the Dr. Dray video, Idk, I get that its a novel ingredient, but I've also seen reviews by aestheticians saying that its been used in spa products for years... I also believe the brand VT has explained that the spicules come off your face as soon as you wash it, and that's why they have an exfoliating effect... so as far as the brand trials they are not big or sharp enough to have the ability to embed themselves in your face (of course weird stuff happens sometimes and we'll have to wait and see what new information comes out, but I feel pretty safe for now).... I feel like VT is a brand that focuses much more on being popular in Japan and Korea than here in the west, so they haven't been putting out much information about these products in english yet, and that's causing a bit of fear and misinformation, hopefully it'll get clearer soon!!.... Thats my 2 cents! But very exited about this review!! i've been seeing a lot of negatives from my non sponsored reviewers! so im glad it worked for you!!

Great review, I've been waiting for it! Thanks, Rob x
I just started using the 300 one - the prickling is so real! It's interesting that this sensation lasts even after I apply other serums on top but when I touch my face with my hands - it feels okay, no prickling whatsoever. When I used it for the first time, got a bit overexcited and used two pumps instead of one - I guess, it was the reason why the prickling was so noticeable (no irritation though). It didn't prickle as much the second time. I also tried it with a 2% salicylic acid serum from Geek&Gorgeous and it worked fine as well (I was quite cautious and used a calming serum and cream on top)
I instantly noticed that all the products I put on the VT serum got absorbed unusually quickly and my skin looked radiant afterwards. So far so good x

I got a free sample of the 300, it was enough for 3 days. My skin looks it's best right now, I had really good experience with it so I'll gonna buy a full size bottle. My skin is a bit sensitive but even starting with the 300 I didn't experience any redness or irritation at all. Used it with my other shooting barrier repairing k-beauty products, nothing harsh, and no retinol. I really liked the tingling sensation also. It's definitely nicer if you pat it into the skin and all your other products afterwards as if if you rub it in it's not so pleasant. I didn't really believe Dr Dray's video, it was clickbait and she wasn't at all sure about anything so she was just speculating. The first comment under that video actually clears things up much better it was by someone who might know more that she does

Literally, after i saw your video, i used mine! I ordered it about a week ago. Finally started using it. I've only used it twice so far, and i already love it! You're right...skin feels super smooth in the morning! I was floored! It's a little tingly, but I've been using Medik8 6 retinaldehyde for a while now, so maybe my skin has toughened up, so to speak. I use this with the 77 heartleaf, which i find so healing!! I figured that if you apply anything on top of the VT, products should also 'follow' the little spicules!! It's all trial and error, isn't it? It's all about finding what's right for you.
I took a photo of myself prior to using the VT, and honestly, there's already improvement! I'll obviously give it another week or so, and if i feel brave enough, i may post a video! 😮
Just wanted to say thank you for giving me that little push i needed to just go ahead and use it! I didn't let the negative comments put me off because everyone's skin is different. It's impossible to compare your skin to someone else's. But i totally respect the fact that some people are a little wary of this and therefore dont want to use it. But if you're on the fence, do what i did.....i tested it on the side of my neck. Didn't have any irritation. If you do get irritation, then you know not to go there!! But if you already have this product, and you're not sure about it, just do a patch test!

It’s actually popular here in Japan. And knowing Japanese people, they’re very keen on doing their skin care and that just proves it. Like SKII, it doesn’t have a lot of research backing it up but it’s still one of the most sought after products here. I’m using both SKII and Reedle Shot, just trusting the effects on my skin and the meticulousness of the Japanese.😅

Thank you for reviewing this. I just started using it as well and love the results. I use it at night and wake up with baby soft skin… However, throughout the day, it kind of leaves and I returned back to my baseline. So I will try doing it in the morning like you said. I’m trying to understand your philosophy behind taking the 28 day break? Why do you feel that’s necessary? It’s not like your skin is going to soak it up any deeper if you keep going with it. It can only penetrate so far, no matter how many days you use it for. And the same amount of skin will turn over either way. No?

@@MadAboutSkin This isn't your job at all, but I would appreciate it if you did a video talking about "fake" mineral sunscreens. Lab Muffin has done a video about this where she talks about brands like color-science claiming to be mineral only and fear mongering about organic sunscreen filters while they have organic sunscreen filters hidden in their formula (butyloctyl salicylate) which I guess is the same as oxtinoxate? This is super deceiptive obv and in the U.S only oxtinoxate is an approved sunscreen filter. Not that I think butyloctyl salicylate is harmful it's just less well studied and safe given oxtinoxate. Dr. Sam Ellis recenly came out with a "mineral-only" sunscreen that also has butyloctyl salicylate. I don't blame her for wanting to do a hybrid formula because it balances cosmetic elegance with possible sensitivity people have to especially older organic filters. But like it feels even more deceptive then a brand like colorscience just because she calls out fear mongering over oganic filters but then comes out with a "mineral" sunscreen with butyloctyl salicylate instead of oxtinoxate?? Just seems super deceptive and I've tried commenting on it but she's never responded and I just would like someone with a larger platform to address this.

I want to know if these spicules create a pathway for deeper penetration of skin care actually into pores. What happens the next morning when you put make up on? Is my skin open to absorbing all the makeup and bacteria, causing spots and acne down the line? If the spicules take a week to shed away with the old skin, have the spicules been allowing makeup and bacteria into the skin? If it allows the good stuff in it makes sense the bad stuff can get in?
