Back in the day, folks would sometimes take a smoke break. For stress, take a smoke break but DONT smoke. Blow bubbles. Same as the breath exercise. To get the bubbles to form, you have to control your breath - just like in for 4 beat out for 8. Also, bubbles is a happy word. "smoke break for bubbles" can make you relax

I am in my upper 40’s and rose my protein for 6 months significantly. I had blood work done before and after. Nothing happened. Not a single solitary thing got any better in my bloodwork and my LDL cholesterol got worse. I ate red meat once a week or less and chicken and a little fish. I had protein powder a couple of times a week when I did weights. My iron levels were the same (low). My doctor (who is very ok with integrative medicine said it didn’t do me a bit of good. I didn’t lose any weight either even though I was exercising 5 days a week. Nothing too crazy that would drive my cortisol too high. It just doesn’t work for everyone.

I'm not going to get anything done in the garden today in this heat. My hair is frizzy because of the humidity. I hate this weather!" We can move away from the stories by practicing gratitude first thing in the morning. And after we note the temperature, we check in with how our body is feeling about it. We pause and breathe instead of reacting and getting grumpy. We then can choose to modify our chores for the day/move them to a different time slot in the day so we aren't working in the heat. And we can slap on a baseball cap or place our hair in a pony or bun to prevent frizzies.❤ We don't need to grow into grumpy old women 😁
YESSSS to all of this. Also, I know so many who are over 40 and cutting out carbs and I'm like, "No, carbs are good!" Thank you for confirming so. hehe. People seem so anti-positive, and I am their ray of sunshine. I like what you said about regrets.

His family thinks that we are crazy as they are pounding down another drink. Our culture has made it a normal thing and I have always liked to go to the beat of my own drum 🪘

Don't know how to take anything off the plate. I love 90% of your content. But $2 a day for fancy gummy vitamins? That's beyond not economical! I can get organic vitamin gummies from amazon for $9.

That's not much of an increase in protein. It should be part of every meal to have any positive effect on your health.
