Goodness! I'm grateful for the recipe. My Dad used to make gizzards all the time for us, calling them "Lizard's Gizzards" when we were little kids. He also had a pressure cooked BBQ gizzards that were soft and delicious.

Thank you for making it easy and to understand! You need to remember AFTER youwash the gizzards good and proper then use a paper towels . Also let the gizzards marinate in the milk for an hour for best tenderising

I'll give everything a chance. First time I cooked them they were so good not too chewey and very tasty. Next time they were tough as leather. Have to practice my technique.

I usually boil mine first to get em soft. Even heard of people pressure cooking em. I will try your way and hopefully they will turn out like yours. They look D liscious, and perfectly fried.
Yes the acidity from the buttermilk tenderizes them. And don't over cook them. The longer they cook the tougher they will be. Let me know how yours come out for you.💕😊

I love the way you teach. :) Because of my restricted diet, I will make my gizzards (and hearts) with coconut milk and probably apple cider vinegar. For my flour, I'll combine cassava flour and coconut flour. My starch will be arrowroot starch, since I'm allergic to corn. I'm on the AIP (Auto-Immune Protocol) diet, which is even stricter than Paleo. Your style of teaching is awesome. Thank you! :)
That is awesome when you can take a recipe and adjust it to meet your needs. I understand that as I follow Keto diet from time to time because I like they way I feel and other results. Most of my Keto recipes or just regular recipes that I adjust. I'll be posting more Keto recipes after the 1st when I start back up. Hopefully those will be even easier for you to adjust. @@cynthias862 The batter doesn't really stick properly without eggs, but the flours are delicious, in my opinion. They have a very earthy flavor. I have since been able to reintroduce eggs to my diet, so if you can use eggs I would. But with just arrowroot starch it is tasty, even if not just like wheat breading.
