speaking of holiday decor: every year my sister and i get those small little potted baby evergreen trees for like $10 at home depot and we decorate them and keep these as mini christmas trees for December and then plant them along our fence outdoors! thought it would be a cute idea for someone that has an outdoor space!

I live in a basement, dark colors make the space feel so unlivable and cold. I have the space decorated in pastels and white furniture, and I think it makes the space feel so much brighter, and consequently cozier, because it doesn't feel like an ugly cave!
Canles, lots of candles. I love sitting down at night with candles lit all over the room. Gives such a lovely warm glow and much kinder to aging complexions!! Not that you have to worry about that of course. I'm speaking from personal experience there.
Cabin is totally my aesthetic though... xD With a bit of boho, and some eclectic elements, like a modern couch and platform bed, or some midcentury touches. In tests they always nail me down as farmhouse/coastal, because of the wood elements and organic materials, antique-ness overlap. Us cabin people, who strive to achieve the "classy woodlands" look, or the "modern mountain" vibe. We don't have a name for that, I would say Canadiana, in homage to Canadian style solid wood furniture. It was all the rage in the 70s, the epitome of cozy, a lumberjack chic home!
Loved it! Agree on the lighting. My husband works in home automation and is obsessed with LED lights. Warm lighting is so much better for feeling comfortable!

5:10 omg same I thought I was the only one. The first thing you see when you enter my room is my bed , and I have flooring so for me it feels like I'm drawn towards my bed more than the rest of my room, and with my room I plan on implementing different areas so it's more lively.

Funny how creative people create isn't it? Although I don't decorate with yellows, reds or oranges. I actually have an aversion to all three of these colors. My space is warm, relaxing and feels outdoors cozy. I certainly appreciate your space, because it has harmony and flow, and I can recognize another with a creative eye! You're very talented, so you can decorate with any colors, right? It's a talent to be able to see, in your mind's eye, what will look appealing. I love my jewel-tone colors and therefore have my beechwood furniture and hardwood floors as the light, warm colors in my rooms. Oh and plants. A lot of plants!

We have a fireplace in our living room and I love it😍 especially in harvest and during winter. I can sit for ours in front of it read a book or just watch the flames play and it's a great heater 😊

Hi Drew, awesome video, when I saw that you had a video posted I grabbed my cup of tea and sat down to really enjoy this video, and I surely did. So many great tips now that it is heading into winter where I live. I love rich warm tones the oranges and reds and light wood tones. I have this entry table that I want to paint a warm white and then I will paint a design on it, I have about 8 plants sitting on it, and it's black right now and I just think a white would give it a fresh look and brighten up the space. I LOVE your esthetic it’s literally what I would use for my decor. I love a lot of the boho vibe mixed in, I’m always on Pinterest looking for “boho glam” decor. What I am totally over is the gray and white, crystal/mirror generic glam look and the American farmhouse look. Maybe you could do a video about the styles you feel are overplayed and no longer trending ☺️.

You should try Pothos plants. They are very hard to kill. I started with a little one now I have about 5 in water in vases and 3 in pots. Real plants clean the air of the chemicals used in everything...like rugs and furniture.
