I'm Norwegian, and this is pretty much spot on! I would only add home-knitted wollen socks, and having soup or stew for dinner to warm you up from the inside. Having a conversation snuggled in a blanket with a hot beverage is great, and watching a movie with candlelight around the living room is magical. We do this year around, but it's especially important in autumn and winter
Maria! Thank you so, so much for weighing in! My partner Scotty and I do this all the time and it's always some of my most cherished time. Thank you for adding this in the mix! Dreaming of visiting Norway one day. Hope you're well!
To be happy we must delete / remove anything & everything that is made in China as the vibe is not hygge!! Our items are European and of quality not dust catchers but comfortable pleasing to the soul, hygge soul! Enjoy your hygge vibe!!
I'm a brit living in Denmark the last 30 years and 'hygge' is not so much about all of those material things. It's about *what you do with family or friends - or just by yourself - in the space you have* . Danes don't run around buying all sorts of things to create 'hygge'. Danes can create 'hygge' with nothing but empty beer crates for chairs, some beers and a few good friends🙏🏾
Thanks so much for your comment! I completely agree. Hygge is so much more than material things or owning anything specific. This is just a video about the home not the whole concept (just about elements that have been mentioned in the book). Everything you said I can 100% agree with - there is no need to run out and buy anything this was just for some inspiration at a time when we can't have people over to add that energy to our home. I hope this doesn't come off as defensive just wanted you to know I agree with your comment! Appreciate it!
And most people have the elements, just don't pull them together in a Hygge way. How many of us have candles but don't light them, or a soup pot but never make soup?
I agree with you! I realized this when I was creating an interior in a newly purchased village house. At some point I felt that hugge is not just a beautiful picture and not things. A truly cozy interior should be born by itself, naturally. This is an interior that is right for you/your family, created by your lifestyle, filled with personal history and taste. But the main thing is still its invisible and immaterial content.
Hi Jette! I can't tell you how much this message means to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to totally make my day! I hope to one day visit when the world is back together! Also great tip!! Have a wonderful day!
I live in india, a tropical country, yet I felt so good watching this video 🙂 creating a Vibey, peaceful, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere at home is so important!!
This is my favorite video describing hygge. I feel so warm, fuzzy and cozy. I have candles, blankets, books and comfortable chairs. Now I feel the urge to make a big pot of soup or stew. ❤🕯🍵☕️🌧🧦❤
Oh my gosh this just brought the biggest smile to my face thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment and I hope you get alllll the hygge vibes this winter ❤️
As someone who lives in a developing country like India, I am jealous of all those people living up there experiencing things like hygge and cottagecore. I seriously want to live a life like this 🥺.
Desi-hygge has its own flair-lots of colors and textures; masala chai or kahwa with visits and pakoray or mithae; diyas, lanterns, or stars for festival season; incense or the smell of adrak aur lahisan ka paste sizzling and making your mouth water; idli and dosa if you’re southern desi with all kinds of salan… desi people have soothing and winsome hygge rhythms… I’ve learned a lot of hyggely habits from living in South Asia, but those are just a few of my favorites… oh, I left out the monsoon pakoray and chai with neighbors!
Living in Canada I've been practicing hygge all my life . One thing I've found helpful is having battery operated candles I control with a remote . I live in a tiny apartment and it gives me peace of mind as I like a lot of candles. I do have real candles that I only leave on my stove . I have a maple syrup scented candle and it smells so good ! 💕
That is lovely to hear Ruby! And totally agree! Scotty and I have a few battery operated ones and they give off the same warm light. A perfect switch up!
I just subscribed this channel. This is how I live, I am in Northeast Michigan, near Lake Huron. It is so lovely, it is cool and comfortable. We left a large house in the Washington DC area, I grew up where we moved back to. I am 66 and living a the best life ever. Comfortable cozy and a Lovely, a cottage in the woods. It is perfect! Thank you for some great ideas. Thank you, we typically have a tea and a few cookies in the afternoon, not ways homemade. But that is lovely as well.. I so enjoy your explanation and your voice . That is it fro me for now. Thank you for creating this idea and plan. I will look forward to watching more from you and sit and knit and watch some candles and enjoy!
Mom practiced this all my life. We just never called it that. I love my books, warm throws and candles. No fireplace but i have and electric woodstove my dsughter sent me. Great video
Mine too, we live in Sweden and here we call it "mys" or "mysigt", just like cozy. Never herd about "hygge" until some years Ago and was like what is the difference from "mys". But there are sadly a lot of swedes that don't seem to been raised this cozy and calm way. Play and fun outside in the day and then snuggles up in the evening.
I've been listening to this book. I love these ideas and I've been using them forever. Candles, little lamps, string lights, books, tea, nice blankets, plants, very nice!
I am so happy you liked it Laura! I know there is sooo much more to hygge than just setting the mood. It's been such a pleasure learning more about it especially during these dark, cold days of winter! xo
I’ve always thought it was cool, but I was editing an article about it and thought I’d do a more in-depth look into it. This video was the best source!
Love these videos, I’ve been doing hygge actively for 10 years, I used to have a house full of stuff, wood, candles and cozy. I’ve just moved house, and have decided to strip back a ton of belongings and keeping the white washed walls and go for a clearer house. No better time to do this than in a new place and a fresh start. After cleaning my walls at the old place after years of candles (scary) I’ve decided to keep candle use to a minimum and filled the place with flickering battery candles. They’ve improved a lot of the years.
Hygge plants in the afternoon light in my house is one of my favorite hygge moments for me! Working on adding some curtains as well to add to the hygge! So cozy!!
My husband and I are in the process of buying a home and I’ve been trying to find the name for what the vibe I picture is and this is it all the way. I’m in love love Hygge!
First off oh my gosh that is a HUGE step so congratulations on being in the buying stage! I am so happy you liked this one 🥰🙊 It's so wild how a lot of us already follow many of these ways of living!
*You have such a cheerful, feel good vibe, I love it!* 🌟 Hygge is the best :) we have a similar term for this in Scotland too, "coorie", which means to snuggle in 🤗 🕯
Aw thank you so much for saying that Kat!! Ah I love learning that! Another word I now adore 🥰 Also may I say I LOVE IRELAND and cannot wait to visit again one day.
Just watching this made me feel chilled out. Unbeknownst to myself I have been practicing Hugge for a long time I just called it me myself and I time thanks for sharing 💛
I am 61 and this is very retro. Antique pieces handed down was common. And yes they do have stories! Making the most out of less was special and probably a function of not being able to afford loads of things. Without the internet Mom gave us the choice to play outside or help with housework! Perhaps not a less complex time but simpler in day to day living. Less choices! Nice vid.
Thanks so much for this, ihave being doing so many of these things for years, and didnt know what it could b e call or the practice, especially from the Danish, and some Native American practices, so thanks again
Hi Veronica! I am so pleased this resonated with you. When I heard about it for the first time my reaction was the exact same as yours! I just didn't realize it :) After learning about this I'm going to be doing some research on other practices around the world. We can all learn from each other!
I live inbetween London and an Island in Sweden - my step kids are Swedish - and I love it here so much. We are surrounded by forests and the sea and every house in Winter have candles lit up and paper stars, like something from a fairytale. We use Ikea LED candles and they look almost like the real thing and I love how peaceful I feel here compared to London.
Good day. I advise you in love, because I have been there for many years. Tarot cards may appear helpful and kind but they are part of the occult which is demonic. Such practices masquerade as good in order to deceive well meaning people so that they never think to look to the Saviour of the world, Jesus, the only spiritual truth. I don't think it was an accident I saw your name today. I am not usually on such channels. I encourage you to read the Gospel of John. Peace to you.
I loved this video. I have the book and have been working to create a more Hygge home! Cozy, relaxing, stress free and CLEAN. I live your tips about clean and uncluttered. Thumbs up!!
I know one thing that's in opposition to Hygge! My brother and I are 69 and 71, and once our Mom died we chose to live together since we're both alone now. We also decided to move to Ohio and oh my gosh, the move is going to drive us bonkers. We are still unpacking and it's so hard. Fortunately, I have a nook in both our family room (where our fireplace is located) and the living room but we still have a ways to go. LOL, just waiting for the day when our home is in order and that Hygge feeling is everywhere.
Aw I can feel how frustrated you are just through this comment. Sounds like you've carved out a little space for hygge in your new home. I promise this will get better with time! Sending you all the cozy vibes and wishing you all the best with sorting through everything. Maybe there is a way to make that experience almost a fun activity to chip away at by putting on your favourite music or show and lighting your favourite candle scent with a cup of something you love and chipping away. :) xo All the best in 2023 Linda!
Throws. There's throws everywhere in my house. Each seat for my couch has one. The dogs have their own. My own bed has a couple folded at the foot. I love candles and wax warmers. Sadly, not a fan of wool or fuzzy socks. They make my feet sweat. I should probably change the lighting situation though. We don't use lamps. Also, I love baking when it starts to get colder. A pot of tea with cinnamon sticks, cardamom, and cloves also makes your home smell so welcoming and cozy.
I subbed. Love your advice here of repurposing things we already have to create this hygge vibe. May I ask where the macramé wall hanging is from in 8:03? Thanks.
Aw thank you so much love that is so kind of you to say! I have to admit I've definitely already watched The Holiday this season and it is like comfort food haha. Thanks for watching and leaving such a kind message!
That is exactly how I felt when I first found out about it! So happy to hear you enjoyed it! Here's to getting through this Canadian winter the cozy way.
Oh my goodness I love that!!! It's so funny that so many of these I identified with as my ideal living scenario before I even knew about hygge and other words like it! 🥰
I just stumbled over your channel. This video describes my flat :) Then again - I'm in Sweden :) Especially this year it's been a blessing to have a home that breathes hygge. The only thing is all work stuff on my kitchen floor - not so hygge - but a necessity :)
Hi Annica! Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a thoughtful comment. It's been so incredible seeing people from all over the world relate to this topic. That brings me such joy to hear you have been able to focus in on these principles. They've certainly been saving me this season. (hahah don't worry I can totally relate to that too!!) :)
I created a cozy space for myself in one corner of my living room like this without knowing that is what it was called! My space has a cozy chair, fairy lights, an electric fireplace and a cozy chunky crochet blanket. The ladder shelf next to my chair has plants, a ceramic tea pot & mug and my favorite books.
Thats given me the idea: Put one of my cute tea cups that sit on top of teapot, perhaps on bookshelf, bring a throw down, put my gas 🔥 on, so cozy looking, but completely forgot to do these things.
you forgot cats. Cats are essential to hygge vibes :) I'm currently sitting in my tiny living room with a cozy blanket and my kitty purring next to me, watching the rain outside. This is my first apartment of my very own. I've lived with roommates or a partner since I was 18, but for the first time in my life I'm in a stable living situation, where I will move when I feel like it, not when someone else tells me to. For the first time in my whole life, I can finally settle in. I'm working on creating a home that feels safe and cozy, and stimulates a feeling of gratitude and joy. My apartment was already feeling pretty cozy, but adopting a stray kitty who is just as grateful to finally have a home as I am was the last piece of the puzzle :)
First of all CONGRATULATIONS! Sounds like you're really finding your way and listening to your heart. Now that we have a little pup of our own it's so true! These little innocent and pure souls just add so much warmth to a home. All the best Sarah!
Let me know how you make your home as cozy as possible during the winter months! Sending you some positive vibes, thanks for being here! Also you don't NEED any of these things of course. You can experience hygge with nothing at all! This is just a vibe I've picked up from learnings from Miek Wilking's book. - A
To anyone reading this, I hope you’re feeling well and having a lovely day! If you ever need a chat in these weird times, my dms are always open!! Stay safe and remember to keep smiling, lots of love ❤️ ❤️
8:25 I've read most of those books other than the Henna Artist! The Guest List is part of my Book Club this month! And the Vanishing Half was our Book for September.
I think we might be the same person hahah! So this is my what to read next list after I'm done Harry Potter! The Guest List was the first one I was going to grab. My best friend Rebecca and Scotty's Mom both loved the Vanishing Half. Becca also said she really adored the Henna Artist. Out of that stack those are the ones I was going to dive into first!
So soothing and blissful life!!! I can so relate to. Love your slow living simple lifestyle!!!💙💙💙. I am on a similar journey of mh own and admire your way of life!! With love, Lilac 🌼
Found out I have deep root of Norwegian in my family history and i innately have done this for myself since I was a little girl. I do not even eat or cook unless I’m relaxed and happy 😃
Aw I love that Tara!! I want to learn more about my own background so badly. It'd be so cool to take one of those tests and then visit all the places you are from! Love it!
Thank you Nicole!! That is a wonderful suggestion!! I am going to pick up some local goods this weekend I am 100% going to check it out! They make the perfect gift :)
I am Dutch, and i think it’s a typical Northern European thing. Although we might give it a different name or no name at all. A lot of Dutch people ( including myself) have Danish ancestors by the way. Maybe this has something to do with it. Our weather also calls for it. We call it ‘Knus’. But it is funny that ‘Hygge’ is such a hype now, while it’s been around for centuries. 😉
Step 11: publicly funded supports, such as universal healthcare, free university, generous unemployment and retirement benefits, and subsidized childcare, that help create a sense of general well-being. With all the constant uncertainties and stressors hanging over our heads in the US, I feel that achieving true Hygge is beyond our reach.
Living in Ireland it's normal in the autumn and winter time when it starts to get dark around 4 to come home get your pyjamas on put on the fire have a warm dinner like shepherd's pie or a hot meal and watch TV with a blanket and get nice and cosy with your cosy socks
My Queen!! Thank you love! I am so happy you have started! I know there are tons of minimal ways to do it. Video coming for you soon about that! :) Also some amazing budget trackers for bullet journals too!
For some reason Ive always struggled to make my home as nice as I'd like it. I really need it to make me happy and secure, as I spend a vast amount of time at home. Years ago I had 3 x 5' book shelves made, just to look homely, I dont even read much, But I still struggle to make them look as nice as I envisaged 🤔
Hello Amanda! Loved your video, but have a question regarding candles. They are very important in hygge, but how do you deal with candle soot? I love candles, but I don't want to be worrying about walls and ceilings going dark!
Such a good question!! All depends on the ventilation in your home too. One option is getting the electric candles if you're really worried about soot and the other option is always keeping your candle wicks short. Plus keeping them in the open just in case for soot on the wall. I've seen a lot of people adopt the battery operated candles though and some are so cool you can turn them on with a remote! 🥰🥰🙋🏼♀️
@@AmandaWeldon ahhhh battery operated candles don't feel the same though, but it is an option. Didn't think about cutting the wicks short, will definetly try that. Thank you Amanda!
Hi Amanda, I live in Hamilton and love ceramics like the one your friend made! She’s very talented. Does she have a way to buy her stuff? Thanks for the video, so clearly explained :)
Hi Rita!! Yes! Her name is Isabelle and she owns Play with Clay on Locke Street. Definitely check her out she is INCREDIBLE. I am honestly so blown away by the quality of this piece. It brings me joy everyday. xo
Hi Suzan! Yes! I bought mine at Anthropologie a few years ago but they still have some that are very similar! :) www.anthropologie.com/shop/agate-coaster?category=kitchen-coasters&color=066&type=STANDARD&size=Coaster&quantity=1
Aw thanks Peggy! Yes!! This is the next one I want to give a go! 🥰 I've also been looking into some other areas of the world so excited to create something around those as well!
I have candles in my room.. And warm tones like Brown and black splash of decor and furniture.. I have a plant in my room, a green garland around my farmhouse ladder that I need to buy fairy light’s in it.. I also have a khaki sweater hanging in my room on a thumbtack with my favorite necklace with a little fake lavender plant and hung it on the same thumbtack to give it a wonderful warm feeling near my blanket basket which I have a small farmhouse pillow in it on top that say s home sweet farmhouse.. I even have one other plant with at my ottoman that has that plant on it with a small farmhouse sign with a salt light!! I even have books in every corner of my room.. my room feels to welcoming and inviting and warm.. some times I’ll watch good witch or Gilmore girls on Netflix and grab me a cup of tea or coffee or cappuccino and turn on all my candles, sconces with the smell of hot maple toddy candle in my candle warmer to give it the best feeling ever!!!! I hardly leave my room especially at night
@@AmandaWeldon Thanks.. it sure feels like it!! I even added books that’s so aesthetic Out in the open to give off that great atmospheric and warm feeling
In fact, my home is Hygge, before I knew the existance of this word... actually, I have 9/10... I have books, candles (I make my own), I have a (virtual) fireplace on my 2nd Computer Monitor all the time, I have plants, some Throws (loving it!), vintage objects (a Book from 1832 - "Victor Hugo, Notre-Dame de Paris" does it count? :D) / Standing Desk Magnifier / some small Statues, Ceramics for hot beverage, and wooden items... The only thing I don't have, ahem.... a TIDY Space xD It's the MESS at home xD because I live in a TINY Space... a 35sqm apartment in the French Riviera, living in... ONE "living" room (the Main room is 25sqm, 1 small room for kitchen and another 1 small for Bathroom). This main room is my Bedroom, my Office, my BookNook, Video Games room, that's VERY small... to be Tidy ^^' But I have the most beautiful view of the Cost. I see 180 degrees of sea and hills, when I open my window (my "window" is a double glazed door xD) Thanks for this video! ;) ♥
Franck I loved this comment so, so much. Thanks for virtually taking us to your space! Sounds super cozy 🙊 Also I am dreaming of the view you described!
Denmark is dark from October to March! But India is lit 300/365 days, so we have lots of natural sunlight, and no need to lit candles, it’s so lit in India 🇮🇳 🔥
Tracked it down for yah! It's "Little Candle" - by Dylan Sitts :) I have a bunch of Lofi playlists on this channel at the bottom on my main page for some more inspo!
In 2020, live candles are just fire hazards, try the electric battery kind, much safer esp when you doze off “hygge-ing”....Also when you read, you want ample lighting or it’s bad for eye health...it’s all good, just don’t get blindly carried away😜
I definitely think so! It's not sweating the small stuff, being with people you love, no worrying too much about appearances and loving a more "come as you are" way of living! I just adore it so much! ♥️ Finding joy in togetherness and the little things that make you feel good

Hi Veronica! I am so pleased this resonated with you. When I heard about it for the first time my reaction was the exact same as yours! I just didn't realize it :) After learning about this I'm going to be doing some research on other practices around the world. We can all learn from each other!
@@AmandaWeldon yes,we can!Please keep sending us videos
Yes- LED candles are what I like better - the air is cleaner with LED and also I worry about fires .
Hi there I really love your vibe and your tips thank you 🙏 so much
Thank you so much!!🥰🥰
I loved this video.
This is amazing! Now that I think about it, my home and my life have always been very Hygge!
Aw I love that!! :)
Being from ND/MN my ancestors are of course Norwegian/German and I didn't realize my home decor is already very similar to this!! I love it
Aw this makes me smile so big! I love when people learn more about it and then are like wait a second I love like this!! Haha 🥰🥰
Thanks.
Aw welcome to this cozy corner of the internet 🥰 I found it at Homesense! You can usually find them in the frame section or by the faux plants ✨

@@AmandaWeldon No, thank YOU for sharing your world with us...
How cozy! This video is so magical, Amanda
Aw thank you so much love that is so kind of you to say! I have to admit I've definitely already watched The Holiday this season and it is like comfort food haha. Thanks for watching and leaving such a kind message!
Hello from Toronto! Just found your channel. Love this concept. I have been practicing this way of living but never knew it had a name. LOL
That is exactly how I felt when I first found out about it! So happy to hear you enjoyed it! Here's to getting through this Canadian winter the cozy way.
TH-cam was right to recommend this video to me! I was quite literally like that earlier today. 😂 Thank you for this lovely video.
Oh my goodness I love that!!! It's so funny that so many of these I identified with as my ideal living scenario before I even knew about hygge and other words like it! 🥰
Hi 👋 hope you’re safe over there?
Hope you’re safe over there, hope this year brings happiness and prosperity all over the world 🌎
My books, candles, and favorite reading coffee mug
Thank you for this wonderful experience. Have a nice & relaxing week! 👍🎧😎
You have a wonderful voice and perfectly hygge.
That is so kind of you! 🥰🥰
Aw I love that so much! And the space you've created makes me want to snuggle right in hah 🥰🥰
I didn’t know that I’m living in a hygge style until watch your video 🥰 thanks for the content!
Aw that's so great to hear! Hygge is so much more so I highly recommend the book if you want to learn more 🥰
I love your beautiful channel! Thank you for the inspiration...
Aw Toni thank you so much for those kind words they really mean so much to me. 🥰🥰
Love your floor lamp! Can you please share where you bought it? Thanks :) !
Let me know how you make your home as cozy as possible during the winter months! Sending you some positive vibes, thanks for being here! Also you don't NEED any of these things of course. You can experience hygge with nothing at all! This is just a vibe I've picked up from learnings from Miek Wilking's book. - A
I love Miek Wilking’s book and documentary! A fur throw, candles, cake, cookies and chai are my necessities for Hygge.
@@jillengel4124 that all sounds like my ideal day list of things to include haha 🥰
Very nice, ,, just found your channel.
I do all those things. I just learned what is was called.
Look forward to more videos.
Thank you💕
Thanks so much for watching and welcome to the fam Cheryl!! 🥰🥰🥰
Watching from India and the idea of fireplace, blanket and hot beverage is making me to go somewhere in Himalayas 😁.. Loved your video..

@@AmandaWeldon I think so! Book soul sisters 👯♀️. Let me know how you like the Guest List. It was a real page turner!
Thanks Amanda, I feel so cozy already. You are totally on to something.😍😍

I’m from Thailand and I like hygge!
How can I find the candle holder in 1:45 please?
Hi there! So happy you liked it! I looked up the candle company for you but sadly they went out of business!
@@AmandaWeldon sorry for my late, thank you so much :)
I really love the quartz coaster :)
Aw thank you so much! I love those! I got them from Indigo in Canada but I've seen similar ones at Homesense, Winners, Marshall's anywhere! 🥰
TOTALLY AGREE! I really admire all Scandinavian countries who bring this to their society. Thanks for watching and commenting this is very important
What's the song during the first 2 tips called?💗

Living in Ireland it's normal in the autumn and winter time when it starts to get dark around 4 to come home get your pyjamas on put on the fire have a warm dinner like shepherd's pie or a hot meal and watch TV with a blanket and get nice and cosy with your cosy socks
That honestly sounds like heaven to me ❤️
As a Canadian from British Columbia, this looks similar to our lifestyle.
Hygge queen ❤️ you inspired me to try bullet journaling! im going to budget for some cute markers
My Queen!! Thank you love! I am so happy you have started! I know there are tons of minimal ways to do it. Video coming for you soon about that! :) Also some amazing budget trackers for bullet journals too!
Just watched your video and really enjoyed it. Would you please provide a link for your friend's pottery? All the best, wonderful ideas.
Absolutely! Thanks so much for watching! Here is her website :) playwithclay.ca/
@@AmandaWeldon Thanks heaps Amanda, enjoy your weekend. Watching another of your vids!
Love your pretty coasters!!! Where did you find them? Great vid!!
Aw thank you Vicki! I got the white marble ones from Indigo in Canada and the one with the gold edge from Anthropologie! 🥰
Soy candles
Hi Amanda, I live in Hamilton and love ceramics like the one your friend made! She’s very talented. Does she have a way to buy her stuff? Thanks for the video, so clearly explained :)
Hi Rita!! Yes! Her name is Isabelle and she owns Play with Clay on Locke Street. Definitely check her out she is INCREDIBLE. I am honestly so blown away by the quality of this piece. It brings me joy everyday. xo
Can you tell me where did you buy the salt coaster under your mug that you have on the wooden tray ?!
Hi Suzan! Yes! I bought mine at Anthropologie a few years ago but they still have some that are very similar! :) www.anthropologie.com/shop/agate-coaster?category=kitchen-coasters&color=066&type=STANDARD&size=Coaster&quantity=1
There’s a wonderful book called “ The Year of Living Danishly.”
Aw thanks Peggy! Yes!! This is the next one I want to give a go! 🥰 I've also been looking into some other areas of the world so excited to create something around those as well!
Hi 👋 hope you’re safe over there?

From Algeria, selem and love to everybody.
Oh my goodness Vanessa this sounds HEAVENLY!!

In German Geselligkeit und Gemuetlichkeit makes for a wonderful life❣Cheers!
This main room is my Bedroom, my Office, my BookNook, Video Games room, that's VERY small... to be Tidy ^^'
But I have the most beautiful view of the Cost. I see 180 degrees of sea and hills, when I open my window (my "window" is a double glazed door xD)
Thanks for this video! ;) ♥
Franck I loved this comment so, so much. Thanks for virtually taking us to your space! Sounds super cozy 🙊 Also I am dreaming of the view you described!

It is a bit strange but funny to read Hygge outside of Denmark in a video like this. 🇩🇰 I'm Dane.🇩🇰 Descendant of vikings.😁
Aw wow!! I can't wait to visit one day 🥰🥰
@@AmandaWeldon I would recommend visiting Denmark around late july and the 2 first weeks of august. The best bet on good weather conditions. 😉
I created a cozy nook in my bed and I never want to leave it.
Haha I love it!!
Denmark is dark from October to March! But India is lit 300/365 days, so we have lots of natural sunlight, and no need to lit candles, it’s so lit in India 🇮🇳 🔥

I like candles, but I have a cat. I gave them up because it’s just not safe with a cat in house. How do the rest of you deal with that problem?

@@AmandaWeldon Thank you and Happy New Year!
In 2020, live candles are just fire hazards, try the electric battery kind, much safer esp when you doze off “hygge-ing”....Also when you read, you want ample lighting or it’s bad for eye health...it’s all good, just don’t get blindly carried away😜
Plus candles are dangerous with a cat around.
Led Battery candles🌟🌟🌟♥️♥️
Hare Krishna..it just inspired me
Is their away of exercising hygge?
I definitely think so! It's not sweating the small stuff, being with people you love, no worrying too much about appearances and loving a more "come as you are" way of living! I just adore it so much! ♥️ Finding joy in togetherness and the little things that make you feel good
