- Lots of additions to our doll collection recently - at the end of 2023 my wife got FOUR new dolls and I recently got an amazing deal on a CYO I'm excited to introduce.

Thanks - I have plenty of near misses (ex: I was the very next in line for a #48 on FB marketplace just a few weeks ago that someone was selling for TWENTY FIVE dollars and obviously missed out on it lol) but I *definitely* get my share of amazing deals and I'm very grateful! BTW, I really like #2 on her as well!

Grace's new dolls are very pretty! Easton's curls are amazingly well made.
The real Mercedes (I don't know how you guys spell it) is very pretty. Since it is impossible for me to buy a Joss doll at a reasonable price I'm considering having Truly Me #121 instead.
Thank you! I agree - the new dolls are beautiful! Also, if you're open to an excellent condition but not new in box Joss, I could find one very reasonably, but 121 is a good option, too. I think Joss will always be my favorite Joss mold doll.

On my priority list before Joss I would love to have an Addy mold to start one of these, Truly Me #11, #31or #50. Then a Sonali mold, Truly Me #62 or Melody. At the end of my wish list Truly Me #54 and Just Like You #4. I am very behind with my collection LOL...

Her ash blonde hair and blue eyes were what prompted me to pick that dress. Fun fact, I think of that dress as "Caroline after dark" lol.

Mercedes is 121. When I allow myself to get another doll again, I hope she’ll be next. She’s gorgeous!
I think she's very pretty - I still don't love they eyebrows, but sometimes you're lovely in spite of - not because of - your brows lol.
@@agtakesover I love the distinctive brows! I am glad I have an original 66 with thick Grace eyebrows, for instance, and not the regular feathered brows she was redesigned with. The lined brows are my least favorite, especially without bangs to hide them.
@@starryeyeschick I love distinct eyebrows, but that doesn't mean I like ALL the eyebrows. I'd love a Joss mold with Lea's or Grace's brows but all the Joss molds apart from Joss get those same brows.

That custom addy mold CYO is so cute.
A little bit of knowledge with vinyl casting and the last girls legs. The gritty feeling leg was likely pulled from a heavily used and soon to be retired leg mold. As the molds breakdown they get micro-dings and dents which causes the gritty texture that holds onto the mold release. It is really strange that she has 2 different textures on her legs though assuming they were cast at the same time 😂
Ooh, thank you for sharing that! And that is interesting that she ended up with two different textures - two other ppl commented that they have dolls like this, so I guess it's not unheard of. Definitely quirky, though lol

I love your Addy CYO! I was redressing some of my Addy CYOs while watching the video. I like your doll most in the 1st outfit, but what I like most about dolls is redressing them and seeing them in different looks. Grace got some beautiful dolls!
How fun - DOING doll things while watching doll videos is the best.
She’s soo cute ☺️ I personally see her as boho, artsy when I look at her. Wearing scarfs and bright colors purples, teals, fuchsia and maybe some feathers, long skirts and head scarfs, braided belts that kinda thing if not that maybe #5 name not sure about at all lol something like River or Sarafina maybe 🤔
ooh, I'll try to see what we have in our doll wardrobe that could accomplish that look to try it out on her.
I like look #1 on her. She's so pretty and what an amazing price. When you first showed the back of her hair, I didn't notice anything, so I think you did a great job disguising the haircut. :) I think I've seen all of Grace's on AGIG, but it was nice to see them again and hear more about them.

New CYO looks like a combination of earthy and athletic to me, the last two looks. I love her in Girl of Today clothes and bright colored athleisure. She looks more sporty, beachy. She’s cute! Possibly with a hippie, bohemian vibe.
Opinions are all over the place on a look for her lol. I'm definitely going to have to keep playing around. I do want to try a bit more hippie bohemian look, though if I'm honest it's not something we have a ton of lol.

tbh i wouldn't have noticed the cyo's haircut if you hadn't pointed it out. she's beautiful, and i personally think the last look suits her best. also, LOVE mercedes' corset. grace got some beautiful girls
Thanks - that means my wrist flip did the trick and made the hair cut unnoticeable :) And I don't know if I mentioned it, but Grace made that corset as one of my Christmas presents.

Thanks - I'd watch her lips or if you don't live near a store, have a personal shopper be mindful of both lips and eyes because it took me a LOT of looking (several trips to the store) to find this one.
Your new CYO reminds me of my friend’s daughter. She’s 14 and loves cat eyeliner. Her name is Sadie, and she goes to the Museum School. 🤗
Sadie is such a pretty name. And I've never heard of the Museum School (but I'm picturing Ben Stiller teaching there).

I think Bree (if that's how you spell it?) is rocking all of those looks! I think I'd dress her in bright blue or turquoise to go with her eyes. I also really love the look of #4 on her. I think it's the beret.

oh my goodness, what a gorgeous CYO! Such a lucky find. I love her best in look #5, but honestly, she looks great in everything.
Right before Christmas Costco had a bunch of the "Donut Dreams" 123 for $40! So of course I couldn't pass her up at that price, especially because I do not have Makena. I named mine Allegra. I hadn't checked her legs until I saw this, but now I can say they are both the same (not totally smooth).

Thanks! I'm glad I mentioned 123's legs - two people commented to say they have dolls with this, too, and I think it's kind of fun. It doesn't show up in pictures so it doesn't bother me at all. Just makes them kind of quirky. BTW what did you name your 123?

The addy mold is such an interesting mold to me because I can spot her anywhere but I wouldn’t say it is my favorite mold. I think I prefer it on Addy the most. But I do like the legally blonde outfit
I really like the Addy mold. As far as CYOs go, I think she's a pretty safe bet. I'm not as interested in the Sonali or Jess ones these days because I don't love the latest versions of those molds. And it's such a crapshoot with Josefina mold eyes that I'd hate to risk it and buy a Josefina mold CYO sight unseen (we have two Josefina mold CYOs but that's because we bought them used and knew what the eyes were like).

The Makena mold doll looks like a coworker of mine named Victoria, so there's a name suggestion for you ❤

I find jess mold cyo the most of any mold lately lol 😆 they seem to like me so the jess molds come home to me a lot.
Nice - I have come across one cheap Jess mold CYO (a few years ago) but her eyes were (unsurprisingly) very wonky. I got her in a lot and promptly sold her. If I came across a nice one, she'd be a welcome addition. But for now, I'm content with the beautiful older Jess molds we have. It's funny how you're a magnet for those and I keep finding Sonali CYOs!

For your Addy mold (who is gorgeous, btw) I like the second and fifth styles for her best. But I grew up in a coastal tourist area, and she really reminds me of an outdoorsy, surfer girl, type. Do you know where or what the skirt on your 123 is from, by any chance?

My Evette has the legs with 2 different textures. All my others have either one or the other - smooth or textured. Good thing it isn't visual!
Yes, we don't mind it because it isn't visual. Definitely makes them unique.

Why do you put the dolls front to back rather than front to front?
I had no idea what you were talking about at first, but you mean the doll stands, right? It depends on what shelf they're going on in our doll room, but generally they're all facing the same direction on a shelf, so doin them front to back means I'll end up with 14 dolls all facing the same direction on a shelf :)

My Luciana has arms that feel like your 123’s legs! I have no idea why, and it doesn’t bother me particularly much, but it’s so strange! I don’t think it shows up in photos, or at least not the ones I posted recently on my agig (agstylestudios). I swear AG dolls can have the weirdest defects!
I'm so glad I mentioned her legs, as you're the second person to comment, "Me, too!" Fun finding out who else has this uncommon thing. It doesn't bother me either. Just something unique and odd about her.
