Such a lovely wig collection! But also this video increased my desire to have a doll that I can put new wigs on, so. I also blame you for my future spending. ;-) I really love all the great wigs that showcase different hair textures and styles and also the ones with BANGS. I know that people have Feelings about bangs sometimes, but dang, you don't know how much you miss them until it's next to impossible to just buy a doll with bangs.
Oh no, I'm accepting no blame lol ;-) And yes - I do like the banged wigs but with a lot of these aftermarket wigs they're TOO LONG. I want to see the dolls' eyes without having to move their wigs back way beyond their original wig line.
Seems like a good organizational system. I don't have any wigs although there are some I think are amazing. I think I need to get a doll with horrible hair so I can try taking her wig off with less pressure. Then I can buy some wigs to create new looks.
I love your wig organizing system! You have an amazing wig collection too ❤ I have a similar picture-based organizing system in place for AG outfits and Mix and match/AG fashion show collections as well as accessories. For some reason I never thought of doing something similar for wigs! I’ll be getting on it this weekend haha 😂 thank you for the video!
These kinds of systems are SO convenient but not the easiest to set up on an already-large collection. Thinking about doing this for all our clothes feels beyond overwhelming lol.
Beautiful collection!! Growing up, I always wondered why Barbie couldn’t come with a bald head and a lot of wigs so I could have a lot more variety! I have one wig from Zazou called Hayleigh, a long straight light brown/dirty blond. I bought it to transform a boy Our generation doll into a girl mini-me doll. I just love the face mold! I haven’t glued it down yet. Our generation dolls have hair that comes out of their head, so I had to cut it, and that was a little traumatic, poor girl. The wig looks a little off, and I thought that was just me until I watched a video that mentioned the boy molds have slightly smaller heads and that is definitely the issue. The wig fits and is beautiful, it just looks overwhelming for her tiny face. If it were scaled down like 10% it would be great.
¡Hola! Many times, I have been tempted to get a Truly Me doll without hair to be able to play with different wigs so I can have a doll with different possibilities You organize it wonderfully. All wigs are great options 💜 Cheers!
This was great! I love how you organized everything by number and with photos. I see that this was posted 3 months ago. How is this system working for you?
It's working well. I haven't added many wigs, but there's enough space to and it's easy enough to add them to the "inventory". It's easy to put them back in the right place, too. But the best part of it is being able to look at all the wigs ON DOLLS without having to pull any of them out. I look at the inventory in order to pick the one I want and THEN go get it. I love that.
9:24 i think this is the wig i have for my addy. it’s so much worse in addy molds because of their tiny little foreheads😂 i ended up having to cut the wig cause i had it so far back it wouldn’t stay on😂
Interesting. We don't have any Addy molds without their wigs glued down (we have a Claudie mold, two Classic mold, a Corinne mold, three Josefina molds, two Joss molds, and two Sonali molds that don't have glued down wigs) and I've never rewigged an Addy mold doll.
I’m currently a witless household, lol. I’m constantly thinking about getting a red wig for my 116, but I’m nervous to rip her wig off so I keep spending doll money on other things instead!
"a witless household" is my new favorite typo lmao. And maybe starting with a TLC doll whose hair is already beyond repair would be an easier place to start.
My storage problem is how to store my AG historical girls with their specific clothes collections... my girls share my closet with my own historical reenactment clothes and accessories... so it's a struggle!
For dolls we have a lot of items for, we use small clear totes and I write their names with Sharpie on painters' tape and label them that way (that way if a doll outgrows her tote it's easy to remove the label). They're stackable and stored in the top part of our closet, so they're pretty accessible.
My challenge is how to ustore away my dolls while they do maintenance in my apartment? I only have one original box so do I do cardboard or plastic tubs or what? Please help.
Are you worried about them getting damaged or worried about judgment from the maintenance people? How long will they need to be in storage? How many dolls do you have? Those answers will help me give the best advice.
Oh no!! I'm so sorry you destroyed the wig. I feel like sometimes wigs are SO easy to take off, most times they're mildly challenging, and sometimes they're just A. Struggle.

It's certainly not a need, but if you would enjoy it then getting a doll with wrecked hair for cheap could be a great option :)

Oh great ideas! I bought a few wigs
Have fun! I love wigs for myself to have dress-up/cosplay options and I love them even more for my dolls!

I know some wigs run tighter than others, so perhaps another brand would work better?

Thanks! And yes, the organization is time-consuming but I can't enjoy a chaotic collection so I put in the time begrudgingly ;-)
Organization is time consuming at the beginning @@agtakesover :)
Then everything is more pleasant and effective to enjoy each doll ;)

Where can I get the Asha wig..... I'm in love!
Zazou on Etsy :)

@@agtakesover LOL I saw that afterwards and was like “she’ll know what I meant.” I HOPE I’m not a witless household 😂

Around 30 dolls. Stored at least a week or so.
My first attempt to remove a wig from my 115 I destroyed the wig 😮😮😮😮😮!
Also I love Dallas doll co wigs!
Also the non binary doll in your same wig as your mini looks like a Jamie. (If you still have them and they are still nameless 😊)
We ended up naming them Ash, though Jamie is cute :)

If you have any wigs yiu are going to throw out anyway, I will gladly take them out of your hands
Oh, I definitely don't lol. I love the wigs we have :)
