A manufacturer will pay half the shipping cost selling through Amazon compared what an independent bike shop would pay. Your situation should be noted for others to consider. Imagine the only bike shop being 40 miles away and it most likely being a corporate box store selling only their brands.
my city does not have a bike shop I have no choice but to order online the closest bike shop is 40 miles away I do not own a car
