I think all the new reels are great. Remember the days when they had no drag systems. You had to back reel & casting was knuckle busting because no free spool...
Shimanos new casting reels aren’t great. Their new micro module gears that help make it smoother wear out faster than their older models because to have a smoother gear you need more contact points and the more contact points you have the faster it wears down. But it ain’t my money so have at it
@@jimtom4878coming from someone who fishes with an Antares DC, dcs are overrated, you’ll outcast them when you get good at casting. Used to have an slx dc ended up getting stolen and I do not miss it I just miss my money. My most used reel is a chronarch 201e6 and with high speed ceramic bearing I outcast all dcs, really the only time I get bested by a dc is when I’m casting straight into heavy wind because I have to thumb it way more and definitely results in a shorter cast.

You have a backlash loop in your spool. You can see it when it slows down and the right side.
