What impressed me most about JVs time trial was how ferociously he attacked from the get-go. The speed and precision with which he took the turns showed he did his homework. His bike handling was on point. We already knew he was a great climber.
Yes, before the TT, Jonas V was hopping around like a prize boxer at his physical peak w max adrenaline. His TT was executed perfectly. Where was this ability before? He began racing at age 12. Did it really take 10 years of racing before his natural born talent showed itself?
@@asbjrnandersen4765 yes sir, that was reported. What baffles me beyond my limited imagination is that, even before his broken leg, he accomplished nothing, ever.
@@asbjrnandersen4765 but, but…he is now the fastest time trialist on earth, up, down, flat, all. He never gave a clue of this physiology until in his 20’s. I am an athlete who has trained and raced against world class athletes; none ever emerged in their 20’s; all revealed their prodigious talent in their teens.
36mins of great highlights from 2023 but I am shocked nobody mentioned MVDP's attack on the Poggio to win San Remo. You don't see it on the coverage but there was a photo after of him taping Pogacar as if to say "Thanks, I'll take it from here."
Great show. I agree with all of those, but especially MVP, with the cyclocross and road worlds and Paris Roubaix. We may not see that treble again anytime soon. Then Jonas proved again his ability to focus 365/24/7 on the TDF is unmatched. IMO if he wasn't such a team player Sepp by this time would have many more big wins on the resume, including grand tour stage wins and even podium finishes. So he's my third pick. But honorable mention to Demi Vollering. She was fantastic in the 2022 TDF and would have won had van Vleuten faltered even slightly and was lights out this year.
Pog doing a Eddie Mercx in the spring, coming 2nd in the TdF despite lack of training due to injury and winning big at season's end with the T of L was the stand out. Kuss was nice as well. Mad dogs in a cage is the new mindset, with endless endless attacks.
Pogacar winning Flanders. I loved G leading out Cav in Rome, and of course that Mohoric interview. Pogacar is my favorite rider, but Mohoric is my favorite person in the peleton.
Demi? Sorry! But was visible the toxic situation inside the team, humble? I hope so. But indeed I take my hat to her performance and she deserved it. And I appreciate that someone mentioned a female rider in the selection.
When I think 2023 I think 1. Vanderpoel's attack in Milan - San Remo 2. Evenepoel easily riding away in LBL 3. Vingegaard's Tour time trial. Also like to mention Healy fake attacking Pinot's KOM in Giro. How funny was that? :-)
Alison Jackson at Paris Roubaix???? Come on people this is THE highlight of the year. Alison upset win and breaking it down at the finish line. Shake em on down young lady!
Simon Clarke's interview after stage 6 of the Giro was a highlight of the 2023 season for me (th-cam.com/video/RvW8G3wXCvw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=96wcOAAI7ODZx-IO). He and and De Marchi were away for the last 60 km of the stage and were caught by the field 800 meters before the line because De Marchi wouldn't pull through in the final km. Rather than criticize De Marchi's tactics, Clarke is so compassionate and understanding, saying he's known Alessandro a long time and knew that's what he would do. I love his quip, "don't hate the player, hate the game."
Oh boy.johan saying that Pogacar is the only one that can win the 5 monuments!!! Oh now he is talking about his broken hand....he is so Pogacar fan that is messing his judgment.
SEPP KUSS didn't win the vuelta, The vuelta was given to him by vingegaard and Roglic. If the team director had not forced and obligated to jonas and Primoz we all know that Sepp kuss would not have won, never, never, never. Period.
so let me gets this straight... Sepp follows the TEAM plan, leads the breakaway and WINS stage 6... to move to second place in the GC... He then runs with the lead group in stage 8 and gets the red jersey... plus, did you notice that he sat up and "gifted" Primoz that stage 8 win? Then he does an excellent time trial and strengthens his position as the team GC leader... He then finishes second on the Tourmalet stage after "GIFTING" the stage win to Jonas for his daughter's birthday... Please... tell me, at what point was Sepp "gifted" anything...?? Once he had "proved" himself as the teams GC leader... at this point... it should have been a no brainer that Jonas and Primoz ride in support of THE team leader.... I understand why Primoz struggled with the decision... he was left off of the TdF team and in the Giro & Vuelta he was to be the #1 rider... I get it... but through no fault of his own or "gifting"... by anyone... Sepp EMERGED and PROVED himself as Team Jumbo Visma's GC leader... he wasn't "gifted" anything... he EARNED it... along with all the work he has done for Primoz and Jonas in helping them with their Grand Tour victories...
My top 3 moments were, in no particular order, Pogacar in Flanders, MvdP during Worlds, and Vingegaard's time trial in the Tour.
Great pick JB! True sportsmanship on the part of G.

I got to see the World Championships in person - it was amazing!

Primoz Giro win on TT was incredible.
Good show guys and a great year! Merry Christmas
Good job boys. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all ❤.

I loved themove. I would like that video has subtitle in spanish, we are many spanish- speaking followers. Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
I wonder what was George's choice of wine for this show... That cellar looks really good.
Lance, I been watching you my whole life. Hands down my favorite athlete!!
Thanks for everything this past year great champions. So enjoyed your insight.
Happy New Year.
Demi? Sorry! But was visible the toxic situation inside the team, humble? I hope so. But indeed I take my hat to her performance and she deserved it. And I appreciate that someone mentioned a female rider in the selection.
Agree with Lance on Sepp K!
The giro was the highlight. It was so close the whole way.
Agree with Lance on Demi Vollering & that whole team. To me, that was the most exciting race I watched all season
for me TOP moment of 2023 is time-trial on Monte Lusari and Primož winning the GIRO

Guys please, offer George a decent microphone for Christmas... Great show, love.
I liked seeing Geraint Thomas in the Giro. He did so well and almost beat Primoz.
My top 3- Sepp, Sepp and Sepp!
Johan!! 👏👏👏👏
What I wish to see: Lance interviewing Mathieu
Alison Jackson at Paris Roubaix???? Come on people this is THE highlight of the year. Alison upset win and breaking it down at the finish line. Shake em on down young lady!
Roglic's TT in the Giro is mine. But, I'm a Roglic fan. My other best moment from "The Move" is any time Lance is gone.
Why are you watching this at all, then !?

Wedu, now with TH-cam commercial Break :-(
Maybe Pogacar ridiculed MvdP in Flanders. Big word for getting a small lead. MvdP ridiculed them all in San Remo and the Worlds.
George man, you gotta do something about your sound.
How are we going to watch all the racing in 2024? GCN+ is now gone… Anyone figure out the best way to keep up next season?
Pogs season the variety of races he won i don't know anyone thats won that variety of races in years
I love the idea of indoor…but it’s better to go OUTSIDE!!!..it won’t KILL YOU
Have you talked anywhere about that Mars show?. I remember you were annoyed?
Pogacar raced the Tour of Flanders clean......can you say the same for Merckx ? No, not for sure.
How the can anyone win faster higher watts races than ever and be clean? They riding watt levels Mercks could only dream of.
Oh boy.johan saying that Pogacar is the only one that can win the 5 monuments!!! Oh now he is talking about his broken hand....he is so Pogacar fan that is messing his judgment.
Então se não for o Pogacar quem é que pode? A não ser que o MVDP perca uns quilos não estou a ver mais ninguém.

Still a win
Is this Roglic using a secret account?
Remco fumbled la Vuelta to Kuss, the breakaway remember.
Sepp’s hard work throughout the year for his teammates won him the Vuelta (and some damn good consistent riding at the front)
so let me gets this straight... Sepp follows the TEAM plan, leads the breakaway and WINS stage 6... to move to second place in the GC...
