Lol these trucks uses turbo diesel with four cylinder or 6 cylinder. Also! Most of the people in the US driving trucks don't need a V8 or don't even use it for work.

Wouldn’t happen, it does not meet current US safety regulations. Engine options also do not meet regulations and it would cost too much to upgrade to meet the standards. That is why u don’t see cheap chinese vehicles on the roads in America.

I have wanted a Hilux every since my first deployment in Afghanistan, using them as technicals. Those trucks are absolute beasts. They don't take IEDs very well, though.
This one has suspension modifications, but nothing crazy. I would trim the fenders for more tire space. I see these in Thailand and wish Toyota would sell them in the USA
Owned Hilux 1995 and sold it to my cousin in 1999, he's a shepherd in the desert. The truck is still running and working well! And yes, I want that Toyota from the video although I live in the city and don't actually need it!👍💪

I would take this in a heartbeat over any new truck sold in the US anytime recently, especially for the cost that those trucks have gone for. Since it will never come here, I will just continue my search for a reasonably low mileage 96 F150 with the in-line six engine, manual transmission,and as few options as possible

if this vehicle met all DOT and NHTSA safety standards required for operation on U.S. highways, it would be allowed to operate in the U.S., and it would cost quite a bit more. That's more than likely why you won't see them on sale anytime soon here in America.
