Stayed a few days at the Wynn Casino and resort in Las Vegas and here is my review of their in room dining room service menu as well as various restaurants on site.

Mikey doesn’t pull his punches, especially for a place that puts millions of dollars into their food production. He’s gentler with mom and pop restaurants, totally understandably, but if it’s a major hotel or high class airline? He will be ready to read them for shortcomings.
i think also the mom and pop places he goes to is affordable where as nearly everything in hotel room service is extremely overpriced. if i was in his shoes i would be extremely critical of the food if i am paying $40+ for a dish

he said before that hes not in the business to put anyone out of business. so when he goes to mom and pop places, if he doesnt like something, he'll just not include it. But only with multimillion dollar corps does he really say how he feels

He doesn't post it if a smaller restaurant stinks. You are not seeing the bad stuff. He probably has had plenty of bad experiences at them but he doesn't post it. He always says maybe they had a bad day or something
Heard Mike say “jar-din” and thought it was a restaurant with a jar theme (??) and then realized it was Spanish for Garden.

What I've learned from this series & this video: 1) They're all overpriced, imo, but paying a premium is expected. 2) There's some great presentations of, & trusting Mikey Chen's taste buds, some great tasting food from all the locations. 3) The Aria is probably the last place I'd choose & it seems Aria doesn't care much about their customers. 4) It seems odd there's no paper/digital menu access in the Wynn room. 5) Mikey Chen continues to eat a lot after all these years.
To mister Mikey Chen next ask them to give you another shoumi or cook a whole new one.

looked like colorless farmed Atlantic salmon. Its life was already a disappointment.
Love hearing a bad review from Mikey for once, I know you usually don’t put bad reviews in your video due to a reputation of their business but since this is a a billion dollar casino it doesn’t hurt them. It was something new and fresh.

It's rare to come across a good chicken katsu...which is why I always avoid. Perhaps I don't like it to start with. But there was a restaurant in Vegas which Mike visited and katsu was good. I trust Mike.

Apparently, the small Chinese restaurant he kept going back to in Las Vegas, and showed twice in his videos, is now always crowded and runs out of menu items early cause Mike Chen made them popular. A lot of people might not order Wynn room service now after this video. Mike now has a lot of power

I stayed at the aria about two weeks ago what a disaster
I have a story about the buffet at Aria. So I’m walking around the breakfast area and so far the food was dry and average. Then I see this pancake (can’t remember if it was red velvet or normal) it was HUGE and looked amazing so I take it back to my table thinking it’s gonna be the item that turns the breakfast meal somewhat enjoyable. BUT NOPE. Dry as the Sahara Desert not soft and fluffy. But dry and hard. It was a bad day :(

Do yourself a favor and goto the Oyster Bar at palace station. If the line is 5 hours long, just wait in line. Get yourself a combo pan roast.
Think the Venetian Hotel gave much more quality, although was pricey.. Great review though Mikey! Need a full English brekkie with Beans & black pudding soon to get your stomach right for the next room service review ;)
Seems like full English breakfast is somewhat more difficult to find in many American cities. I've wanted to try it and I can't remember seeing it on the menu ever.

I don't understand this. Shrimp isn't poisonous raw. Salmonella can be a thing if it isn't cooled correctly. But a good restaurant should be able to handle that.
@@Orodben True, but he said the food he was eating is supposed to be cooked and not raw. Which I took to mean they didn’t cook it properly, thus making it possibly food hazard.
@@Orodben Yeah, seemed quite an exaggerated reaction. Raw shrimp is absolutely not an issue unless you somehow don't handle it correctly in the first place. He was acting as if they served him raw pork or chicken. Sure it's gonna taste bad in this dish rather than sashimi or sushi, but it's not gonna harm your health.
I can see a staff meeting on Monday morning where the Director of Food Services brings his staff together, directs them to watch the monitor and pushes play. He then goes through each and every item that Mike reviews.
“So John, can you tell me why this guest received this awful piece of salmon?”
“Now Amy who ‘cooked’ the raw shrimp that the guest unfortunately ate?”

I wish that they would do that as that would show just how much they care about customer service. I just don't see it happening as that food should never have made it out the door if everyone actually cared about the service. The salmon I can sort of overlook as that may actually be what they intended (though why..) but the raw shrimp should never happen.
This is what happens when u have over 2M viewers and that mtg may be the last one you goto..

Powdered miso soup is maybe the saddest thing ever. It's like offering instant tea instead of tea bags. It just makes no sense.

Tea bags are instant tea.. the gourmet alternative is freshly brewed full leaf tea..

The natural green tea powdered sachets were disgusting 🤢 There may be good ones but here there was only 1 company that did powdered sachets and their rose green tea I loved and green tea only was bad. Tea bags are better.
I have seen instant chai mix too. Never tried tho. So I do think instant tea mix exists.

Shame about the raw dumplings! How could that even be sent up?! Just imagine if that had been a chicken dish... They do need to make sure that things are at the right temperature before sending it out, regardless of it being room service or in a restaurant because people could potentially get sick if things aren’t prepared as they should be :/
AllYouCanVegas was recently served raw chicken in the Genting restaurant at Resorts World. So wrong!
@@vegastocali OMG! Such things should just never happen, regardless if it’s a famous TH-camr, general celebrity or an average person who’s not getting recognized by people everywhere they go.
Especially with the case of chicken, unless it’s in Japan where raw chicken is actually safe to consume. Either way, compensation or not, the damage has been done when food isn’t properly cooked and could potentially make the guest very sick from accidentally eating the raw food, we could even be talking about a guest who’s immunosuppressed due to having gone through an organ transplantation and taking immunosuppressant medicines to not reject the new organ, it could also be a guest with an immune deficiency disorder, or a medical condition like for example rheumatoid arthritis or an inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn) where it’s not uncommon to use low dose chemo or biological medicine such as Humira to manage the condition and where the nature of the medicines can and does weaken your immune system and then you really don’t want to get salmonella or any other issue from food that hasn’t been cooked as it should
The hotel is gonna love the exposure until they see the salmon review

Seeing that raw shrimp reminded me of the only time I got food poisoning in Las Vegas, the hotel? The Wynn of course.
Hoping you said something about the one part of the dish being raw. I can't understand that they sent you raw food. Glad you didn't get sick. The restaurants have such good looking food. You should try and sell your hot oil to the Wynn hotels.

Love these videos, we are in and out of Vegas pretty regularly so this helps weed out where we don't want to stay. You might try the South Point next time, they have (11, I think) restaurants and their NY deli has some great food. (Blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese is to die for.) Rates are usually reasonable and they have rodeo grounds with horse facility, so kind of unusual.
Mikey doesn't like hot weather. Also Mikey: goes to Vegas in the middle of summer and stays a month 😂😂😂
That lobster dish and crab cakes dish looked so good - what an amazing meal.
I love how he acted like he was only ordering 2 meals to use the credit up when we all know he planned to order 3 entrees at most places 😂

I like all the benefits you mentioned about the Wynn Tower Suites private check in, free valet parking, $50.00 breakfast credit, very nice room, best service and gratuity included in room service, I would definitely stay at the Wynn Tower Suites and dine at their restaurants and not do room service. It seems the room service food is only where they fell short. The food that you dined on at their restaurants were very good, so definitely dine at their restaurants.
I suddenly had a revelation why Mikey’s channel is so much more enjoyable than the others! There is not just the good food but also the mukbang element. Definitely low key competitive eater stomach there

Mikey totally gives away that he’s a reviewer/critic at these hotels when he orders enough food for 6 people and then admits it’s just him.
And that being said he should’ve been sent up top notch at both places... one place caught on.

Basically all those hotels teach employees how to figure out early on if they’re bringing orders to a professional critic

As a foreigner, the US always makes me think of food poisoning since that's what I hear from people from there a lot lol Like they seem to talk about it so casually while if it happened here the place would be shut down for review

Flavourless salmon most likely farm salmon. Same goes with prawns that are flavourless and tough chewing are usually the sign.

I got really happy when you described the short rib tortellini as “stuffed with melt in your mouth tender short ribs!” That’s something I would order and we just stayed at the Wynn 😎

Figures we are in an extreme drought and citizens are being told to conserve water but hotels and casinos are still putting on water shows not not limiting water use.
They use reclaimed water just like golf courses.
Evaporation. Water shows lose a ton of water. Vegas is dry af.

Something worth mentioning is that The Wynn and Encore are both incredibly vegan friendly and have specific vegan menus/options for every restaurant! I know that isn't really the demographic of this channel, lol, but they do a really awesome job with it and have been for years now.

Amazon is not a good place to sell stuff on they poach their own vendors customers and are extremely shady in their business practices. Its always better to sell on your own site

Mikey, I have many friends in the entertainment industry in Vegas-and they ALL-to a man-rave about the steak special at Ellis Island restaurant and casino. PLEASE take my advice on this. It’s a Vegas industry secret. It’s $7.99 and includes a free draft beer…and $25 in free slot play (first visit). It’s a Four Star restaurant quality meal-at a fraction of the price. I know it seems to be too good to be true, but it’s for real. It’s local Vegas legend and worth vlogging about!

I wish that those 2 hotel employees had brought out two plates for Mikey. They could have presented a plate of just broccoli and then when everyone was done laughing they could present the coconut truffles. That would of been so fun to see Mikey reaction to a plate of broccoli.
Everything should be wrapped up or covered regardless of COVID or not....lots of dusty hallways and service areas in a hotel....
