    I found this video during my quest for the perfect pomade. I’ve tried a number of water based pomades but generally I get inconsistent disappointing results. My hair is thick so medium hold pomades don’t hold strongly enough. Strong holds (including Suavecito) dry hard and can’t really be restyled. I’ve tried an oil based pomade from another brand with mixed results but actually these styling tips worked very well with that brand but it really is firm to get out of the tin and work it into my hair. I bought some Suavecito oil based pomade and it is fantastic. Really easy to work in, smells nice, and the hold lasts all day. My hair is almost too flat. I used to really avoid touching my hair once I had styled it and wearing a hat - forget about it. Now I can run my fingers through my hair for a quick restyle and it’s still controlled. Awesome product. Can not recommend highly enough.

      Hey man probably a bit late to ask but would you say it works well with thick curly hair ?

    • @Charlotte_TaylorsVersion1989

      @@harveybaker956 I would have thought so. I have thick straight hair (but it does go a bit wavy if it dries naturally from wet). With this pomade I can wear a hat or even deliberately mess my hair up into a Mohican but I just run my fingers through my hair again and it’s flat, slicked back and straight again.

      Suavecito oil based gives a good hold your right about that. But I also have a long trim executive contour which if gets out of place hangs down to my eyes. In my opinion Uppercut Deluxe Monster Hold performs way better in terms of the hold it gives to the hair. Suavecito is a true medium for my Wavy Italian hair.

    I have used the regular pomade from Suavecito for years. I have short messy wavy thick hair and this has become my new favorite. If you use the beard oil too, take the residual after applying it to your beard and put it in your hair. Extra shine and great for a 3-5 day buildup

I was using Suavecito before that and followed it with JS Sloane the superior hold which I added when my hair was wet, and I do like it but wanted something that would soften my hair and add some shine. and can't remember what I used before that, but will go back as the barber still carries it. If your going for the 3 day buildup do you wash your hair with shampoo in between the days or just once every 3 days?

      Chirs erp You can wash with shampoo, and add a bit everyday for shine. When you’re gonna clean thoroughly I recommend buying Groom n Clean from like Walmart. Put that in either for the day or an hour or so before a shower. Then of course shampoo about two times for full removal. That’s what I do before a haircut.

    Is it true that pomade will eventually lead to hair loss?

    • @steeltoothcombs
      @steeltoothcombs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the chemicals used in the pomade.

      My job made me use pomade. Had the job for like a year. My hair thinned and was never the same. Used to have really thick hair. Might just be that I got older but still

    I have used the regular pomade from Suavecito for years. I have short messy wavy thick hair and this has become my new favorite. If you use the beard oil too, take the residual after applying it to your beard and put it in your hair. Extra shine and great for a 3-5 day buildup
