Ray McGovern's insight on the escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine, coupled with the threat of a third world war, is a wake-up call for us all. The potential consequences of Trump's compulsive lies cannot be ignored. It's imperative that we prioritize diplomacy to avert a destructive conflict and strive towards global peace and stability. As an inpartial observer having lived with Ukrainians and Russians recently, what I understand is that we here in the West do not have the full story. I did see the face of my Ukrainian neighbor when she returned from Ukraine recently and is was white as snow. Coincidentally, her husband is Russian. Perhaps we best let this to those who lnow the HOSTORY and the CULTURE of the region. Americans tend to be very emotional and trend. Additionally, the Russian history is quite extensive going back over 1000 years. Tucker's interview with President Putin touched upon the depth of it; at one point Kiev was the capital of that huge country. And it just recently underwent a huge transformation from a Communist Government to a Federation. The long-term president, former KGB Agent (you know the one our president casually called a killer) is actually Eastern Orthodox. Be careful.🤍💙❤️

    • @zacheryhalbert

Nobody cares about the extensive Russian history. They are not part of Russia anymore and they did not attack Russia. History should not be a precedent for a violent take over of a sovereign nation. That’s a slippery slope for countries all over the world. So please I feel sorry for your friends and what they are going through but leave the history bull shit out of it. Putins religion has nothing to do with his actions 😂 or should we go through the long and bloody history of Christian leaders.

Probably not, as that wouldn't be appropriate until after the inauguration. But I think knows which side of the butter the bread is attached to, and I don't think he'll just turn his back on Ukraine. First of all, it wouldn't actually accomplish anything. Secondly, it would only put Turkey and Poland in direct contact with a Russian territory without actually providing any more security to Russia. All Russia ever had to do to accomplish their *stated* objective was to create a mined and defended DMZ on Ukraine's borders.

Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

Do you think that if Russia had launched strikes with Iranian missiles on the territory of the United States, missiles that were controlled and adjusted by the Iranians, then the United States would not have had the right to strike at bases and territories of Iran? After all, Iran is slipping its missiles to Russia, which is losing on all fronts, supplying missiles and programming them. So why then don't the states have the right to go after the instigator of war?

The USA experts forgot that there were tight connections between North Korea and Russia since 19 century. I want just remind you of that fact. The Russian Imperor invited North Koreans to come and to have acres of land on the Far East. There was a condition. It was to accept the Eastern Ortodox Christianity. So, now many Koreans became Russian nationals. Just two examples. The favorite singer of 1990-s was Victor Kim, obviously, Korean ethnicity. Almaty, Kazakhstan still has the Korean Opera & Balley Theater. Many more...

China is watching, Iran is watching, and many other states that hate everything the free world stands for are watching. We learned the painful lessons of appeasement back in the 1930’s. Look at a map of Europe, and colour Ukraine in red as part of Russia. How comfortable does such a map look?
