    Well done vid. Great detail. Best one I've seen so far for this system.

    Thank you for showing which holes each hose goes into on the box, other videos don't show it and neither do the instructions from the kit and both hoses have same size nut so I was confused lol

    Very much looking forward to getting it installed.

    We are putting this same system on our 65 but it’s so close to the exhaust manifold.Probably 1/8 in seems way to close.Might have to put long tube headers on it..I would king to see what your clearance is..

    When installing the pitman arm did yours seat all the way up the shaft so the rubber gasket is tight?

    Hi! Great video btw, 1 question when you put the box in did it look like it was align perfectly center when looking at it from the inside or did it look a bit to the right. I'm installing one right now and was just wondering if it's suppose to fit a bit to the right or center. Thank you,

    I had this Borgeson conversion kit installed on my 66 Mustang, but now when I turn the shaft (by turning the steering wheel or turning the nut directly on the shaft without the steering wheel) it squeaks. How can I stop the squeak?

    Thanks for the video! About to order the conversion kit. What brake booster setup do you have on your car? Was also thinking of converting to power brakes. My car has factory disc brakes. (GT option). Also, did this kit require a '2 sheave' water pump pulley in addition to the 2-sheave crank pulley?

    • @DropClutchGarage
      @DropClutchGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching! Yes a two sheave is needed. The power brakes kit is from Power Master!

    How many hours did it take to install? What part took the most time? What was the most difficult?

    I see there is no vacuum advance on the distributor, is this a 289 hipo engine?

    How do you feel about the steering pump being cantilevered off of the head like that? Do you know if there are any brackets available that run from the bracket to the water pump? Ive been installing the same kit.

      I do know the OEM power steering pumps used a bracket that attached to the water pump bolts. I’m not sure if that’s compatible with the Borgeson pump but there are no issues with bolting it to the cylinder head. Thanks for watching!

      @@DropClutchGarage here I am a year later trying to fix a leak in my borgeson pump.. I don't know if you've experienced similar issues with your steering pump, but mine is leaking from the lowest bolt on the mounting bracket.
      Also, wanted to let you know about a safety psa.. I highly recommend replacing the steering rag joint with a solid universal coupler. My long tubes completely melted the rubber gasket stack which caused the steering wheel to lose its connection with the gear box. By some miracle the coupler finally gave out once i had the car on stands after having just been driven during the aligning process. Mind you this was with the full weight of the car off the ground; While i was turning the wheel lock to lock it suddenly just started spinning free. I don't want to think about what could have happened on the road. Stay safe man!

    Cardboard boxes for sawhorses and no gloves for a guardless angle grinder... definitely not a safety vid. It only takes one bad day before you get rid of that habit, man. Trust me
