People who routinely pray AND meditate have reported that prayer is more meaningful to them, adding tremendous value and direction. To do both seems best, as they go together. One is more listening, the other is more communing.
EXCELLENT Breakdown of the book!! I listened to the entire book twice and it was great, but I really NEEDED this video. Makes it SO MUCH EASIER to follow. Thanks!
Awesome advice and techniques. I have been working on my morning routine lately and your video is helping me get it a little more honed in, thanks man!!
On work days I drink glass of water and cup of coffee then I do what I love to do (music). I don't mind waking up at 5am because I get to make music before I am exhausted from work. On weekends I also read for one hour while enjoying breakfast.
No, I didn't hit the snooze this morning. In fact, not only have I not done it for over a month, but I'm not sure I know how to snooze my Fitbit alarm. I just get up. I don't have time to be lazy in bed anymore!
I can honestly say the tips from this book have been the most influential in my life. Great refresher of the book. I do prefer the older style you had, though I maybe a bit biased for obvious reasons. :P
Your awesome, had a little morning routine but it wasn't organized. This helped me organize my thoughts, my brain inside! THanks so much, the scribing really was something new I've heard as well.
I had no problem with going to the gym in the evening (~9PM to avoid peak hours), but I got so energized I couldn't sleep until 2AM, and that has a bad effect on my mornings. I am now trying to go to the gym in the morning, but to do so I really have to wake up around 5.30, so I have to re-learn going to bed around 11PM latest. Wish me good luck, so far it's WIP.
i would enjoy it if you also tell your experiencies when you tried it and if you would recommend the book. I think a summary is great, but the video structure is lacking a conclusion.
I actually bought it and tried it the first time. I actually wasn`t as tired as I am normally because I kept on telling myself that 7 hours of sleep is enough.
Another awesome video brother! I am big on affirmations. The main one that is always going on in my head is "No matter what happens you will be able to handle it". Keep up the awesome work :)
What he says about greatfullness is very interesting as well as true. I wake up for school, with the mindset thar I am incredibly fortunate to be able to go to school and get an education, and not to be starving to death or abused or have a serious psychological disability. I think everyone has at least one reason for getting up in the morning, and that's enough to get you out of bed.
Did you know recently , hal elrod was diagnostic with cancer? This guy has had many challenges, but he has made the most of it. Not being a victim. awesome vid - keep on doing..
I have found all of these to be effective; however, my "silence" has only been prayer and not gratefulness, so I will have to try adding that one. Great video! Edit: I actually have not tried "scribing" either. Maybe I'll give it a shot soon.
I recently listened to a podcast where Pete Mockaitis suggested a different spin on AFFIRMATIONS. Instead of essentially telling yourself "lies", approach affirmations like commitments you can control now! After all - your habits create your future success - so if you affirm your commitment to achieve a goal, it can make it more believable when you struggle with affirming the future in the present.
Very sweet and quite hilarious. I was still in bed and then I was meant to be running! Lol I'm going to read in the morning though. To brutal for me. I'm grateful for the snooze button though 🙂
reading !!!! I prefer video and audio content , tanks , great video , just fun fact , best doctors in the world is (water-fresh air-exercise-good sleep-heathy food)
hey there. thank you so much for making these videos. i think they are very well done, fun to watch and they definately, give me a boost. i like watching how to up your life's quality videos, books or articles, and this one is the best morning routine one i've come across(of many).your services are very well appreciated. greetings from switzerland =)
I don´t like the sentence minute 1. "He could have choosen to be depressed but he took the responsibility for his life." You make it sound like persons with depression just could choose not to be depressed, and thats just true. Of course a proactivepositive thinking helps....but thats kinda the problem there right? I know what you mean, but thats not the wording for it. You meant: "He could have let this accident rule his life and thinking, but he choose to think of it in another usefull way."

As a psychology channel, I would think you knew that people don't choose to be depressed. I honestly stopped listening to the rest of the video from that point on. Maybe you were just quoting the book or something but I expected more.
"anyone in his situation could have chosen to be depressed"? I'm sorry I'm nitpicking here, but I personally don't think saying it like that is okay. It sounds like depression is a choice, or that the people who have it chose wrong etc. How the author dealt with that car accident is really admirable, and otherwise this was a great video! But that one thing just wasn't okay for me.
he means anyone on that situation could have chosen to simply accept what happened to them, live having the same repeating thoughts drag them down in life, have it make them depressed, and feel sorry for themselves. But instead of that, he chose to do something about it, and strengthen and train his mind and will power, so that he does succumb to depression. Im not saying depression isnt real, but a lot of depression is circumstantial, and you can very well choose to do something about it. it aint easy, but for a lot of people, something can be done.
great video I've already started implementing some of those thins into my morning but I need some fine tuning. audio wasn't quite on point but overshadowed by the great message. I'll look into that blinkist app just for you! ;)
So my question is this; I have a work schedule that fairly regularly changes. Some days I have to be to work at 8 but some morning I have to be there as early as 5. Trying to keep a regular sleep cycle and wake up at a consistent time is really hard under these circumstances especially since I have a 1 year old. any advice?
maybe if you try to always wake up like you're supposed to be at work at 5am. I know its not ideal, but i could make your sleeping cycle more consistent, i guess... and on the morning when you didnt have to be at work at 5, you can do the steps on the video and you could even teach your child to wake up early and spend some quality time together in breakfast, you could even teach him/her the "silent" step, to teach your child to be grateful. what's also pretty cool is that maybe you could watch the sunset together...?
A great book on visalisation and affirmations with a similar premise is Lazy Man's Way to Riches by Joe Karbo, it's a great book! Maybe you could do a video on it.
your channel was supposed to come across I believe as it's showing everything I was working on. Even the videos about Sherlock. and try to solve your "dislike" issue. I will try to help you via liking this video. great going

Could you read and do a video on Bright-Sided by Barbara Ehrenreich? Thank you for making these!

great video man :)
I really love this video. It could have been more fun if you have added music to this video.
anyway it is great.
Is blinkist free as you mentioned in the video? I signed up and it says free trial.. will it charge me? I clicked the free
He says "try it for free," which implies that there is only a free trial.
Life S.A.V.E.R.S!!
Isolating incidents wss a big takeaway for me. I do it all the time, I'm essentially justifying bad habits in the moment...
As a psychology channel, I would think you knew that people don't choose to be depressed. I honestly stopped listening to the rest of the video from that point on. Maybe you were just quoting the book or something but I expected more.
They don’t choose to be depressed but sometimes they choose not to do anything about it. Maybe listen to the rest and try something new! Good luck.
Good Job. Love from Pakistan.

Do you know for some sites-services where you can learn practical psychology for free or for paying also through interactive courses? Thanks
