I was actually the QAR for the avionics shop on this training exercise. A bad storm rolled in damaged some helicopters because the blades slapped.

running along top of the fuel tanks, what is that secondary tube? and on top of that secondary tube, facing away from the body of the helicopter, there's a squared off pad, is that part of the radar or sensory equipment?

If youre referring Sam to the long pole out by the nose..its the refueling probe. the others are fuel tanks.
