That’s not what Toriyama wrote though. The DBZ dub takes a lot of liberties with the original anime which was already taking some liberties from the manga Toriyama made. The only thing you can reliably thank Toriyama for from watching dubbed Z is the character designs and the basic plot.

It gives the transformation such a primordial and epic feel. Like Goku's very DNA and ancestral genes are channeling power as he screams from deep within his soul. It's not as iconic as the first SS transformation, but in it's own unique way it's pretty goddamn epic.

Absolutely, this should have been the pinnacle of Saiyan power. And while I like Super Saiyan God's design, This scene was clearly shown and meant to be the absolute brink, the Pinnacle, the top dog. But then we got God, Blue, and even ultra instinct. But this is truely the ultimate transformation sequence for me. ❤🔥🙏

It conveys the impact this is having on the planet so well to the audience, and the sound design of that happening is so well done that to this day I get goosebumps every time I get to that part when seeing this scene.

I just hate that concept. Goku and Vegeta baked their ass with extreme battles in their entire life and reached super saiyan and after that they got trained by angel to get Super Saiyan Blue. Suddenly Caulifla comes with no idea of super saiyan before tournament and beats even Super Saiyan God and Blue in the tournament.

It was a hype that didn’t last very long cause they didn’t defeat anyone in SS3 form, it was only about looking and acting cool but nothing more…. Akira totally ruined this transformation cause of the bad writing he is known for, same thing with Ultimate Gohan where he achieved nothing but defeat with his new power, we just have to acknowledge that Akira could make badass characters but storywise he ruined so many things in DB that even a child could write a better story then him…
This and a couple scenes from the UC Mobile suit Gundam series, specifically the OG and Zeta, are the ones that I got goosebumps from. But DBZ always gave me chills watching the transformations. No show has ever done transformations better. As to Gundam, when Lahlah dies during the Char and Amuro battle I still get goosebumps at that. And the ending of Zeta. Even though it was a major downer it was so powerful. Particularly because of what happens to Kamille.
