    After trying some other tutorials with not a lot success, I looked at this one and this seems very good, even with animation.
    Well, I will try it, because the voice is cool and you explain it very good. Cool stuff.
    Of course I do not know, if I have more success here.
    But one question: what the heck is Mantaflow? Is this an add on or what?

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for ur nice comment. You can success if u follow the tutorial carefully. Mantaflow is a fluid simulation engine in Blender. It is not a addon.

    Thanks for the video. What's really hard with fluid sims in blender is that when you apply them to your own project, tweaking the settings is laborious. This is because when you start adding finer meshes and more particles its painfully slow to bake and see the effects the different settings have. Real time use of blender as an editor for fluid sims to see the effects is nigh on impossible. I'm trying to get a fluid to drain away and then as it does so cling to the object honeycomb mesh as it does so. Any ideas on how I can achieve this. Should I set up the fluid sim for the honeycomb and then as the fluid in the model drops below the honeycomb the fluid around the honeycomb is revealed.

    It just doesn't show the liquid at all after following the tutorial until 3:28

    • @ainjeffery
      @ainjeffery ปีที่แล้ว

      it's because of the scale of the project. the liquid simulation will not work in projects of bigger or smaller scales than the default scale. so what I thought of doing is to just take all the content from my project, put it into a new default scene and scale it up so that everything matches the scale and proportions of the water simulations. that's the only way for now, unfortunately.

    Hi, sorry. I seem to be the only one who is confused
    I've been following every step of the tutorial but I still fail to make liquid; I've set the domain as modular, I set the source as Inflow, then I tried to bake, yet it doesn't yield anything
    Can someone please point out what have I missed?

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope you don't forget to enable liquid option in domain.Also don't forget the mesh option and bake this module separately.Otherwise you can not have liquid mesh.If dont work,follow the steps from scratch.

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, if ur inflow object is very small,it may not work. In this case you need to increase domain resolution.

      @@GraphicsMK thanks man, they all work
      Now: I was trying to make the fluid to follow the negative value forcefield object while also colliding with its surface (for this, I put the gravity field weight to 0.1). So, it's like the fluid envelopes/coats the object. It's still didn't work; it did follow the construct's shape, but it still goes through the body.
      What did I miss here?

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BawonoSA173 I can not say that I understand ur 2.scenario exactly.But if ur collision construction is non closed mesh,( like plane) then u should enable the Is Planar option.Otherwise the fluid can not collide with ur effector object.

      @@GraphicsMK What I mean is something like we would see when the magnetic putty or a ferrofluid meet a magnet; I'm trying to make the fluid to encase the object

The domain acts as a reflective mirror prodicing multiple version of hthe object at different angles. This is my ninth (9) time at doing it over and each time I get the same results. I tried it on other versions, same thing! Will now try version 4.0! I am disappointed for sure!

    Until now this was the best tutorial I found about fluid ty so much! But I'm having a pretty damn issue.. It doesn't matter if I rotate my vortex or not (you don't so I didn't initially) my bake data keeps giving me water going up instead of being sucked down - at frame range 90-100, where we put the weight keyframes. How can I fix it for the water to properly go down?

      Thank u for ur nice comment. Just delete the vortex force and bake again fluid data.If ur simulation works properly ,and fluid is being sucked by outflow object, it means ur vortex force settings has problem. In this tutorial, I just change vortex strength value.Other parameters are constant.

      @@GraphicsMK Ok I'll try without vortex and will report here and like this everyone else with the same problem can fix it right away I'm 2 hours now on this thanks for your quick response and amazing explaining 🙂

      So..It stopped exploding my water all around the cube, that's nice. My outflow wasn't working though so I ticked "is planar" inside outflow object baked again and it started working!!

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justsayin7482 No need to enable Is planar option. It is for unclosed and planar meshes. But sometimes it will be better to enable this option.

      Thank you. Yes Unfortunately it takes long time rendering. You can get render with eevee fastly. But water doesnt look realistic like cycles.Or we need to have better graphic card.

    The tutorial is great. But this has to be the most counterintuitive, absurd and contrived way to simulate fluids in 3D software. Blender Devs should find a way to make this more straightforward.
