Someone else mentioned this, but it’s worth repeating, do not leave toothbrushes, or glasses, or anything else you don’t want contaminated with “fecal clouds” out in the open.
That’s what the toilet seat lid is for. Close the lid before flushing and keep it closed. Problem solved.
@@so.many.obstacles That’s reasonable. But be sure you put up a sign to remind EVERYONE to close the lid. Personally, I don’t trust others. My toothbrush goes in a drawer.
My husband invested in a black light for labeling things for our son when sending him to daycare. I used it to show him what happens when you don't close the lid before flushing. To this day he closes the lidevery time. 😂

the tooth brush need to air out and dry so it doesnt grow mold though, if its dry its not really going to grow bacteria
Assuming the other bathroom is smaller, could you show examples in that one? Your main bathroom is large and luxurious BUT most of us dont have a bathroom of that magnitude.
Most of us have a closet size bathroom. Like in England, the bathroom is called a water closet and I think it is because when toilets came indoors, they used a closet space so they didn't lose any bedrooms.
KIVA: Idea here that works: With a renter's small bathroom, one sink, only 1 inch counter space on one side, and approx 10 inches on other side to the wall, a tray is not going to cut it. I recommend a fancy cake or cupcake stand. You can bling it up or paint it to suit your style. It has two levels to hold your items near the sink. Also, it doesn't take up much counter space!

The lime scale can be crazy, you don't see fecal matter, can be good, can be bad. But mostly: dust.
Put a black plate in the bathroom. You will see dust sticking to it like crazy!

There's a feature on TH-cam in the settings where you adjust the speed of the video. It helps when you're getting some information or taking notes. The little wheel thingy just play around with the speed. Hope that helps.

Since I'm in a rental, I like the waffle shower curtains (hotel style). I have a nice round clock on the wall. I actually framed some animal print duct tape😅 The duct tapes came in 8.5x11 sheets.
A small vase with pampas grass on the counter. And my soap dishes are on a silver tray.
Yes, I love decorating my bathroom. I don't keep any personal toiletries out. I like my sink free and clear. I don't like toilet paper out either. I love flowers,candles, and decorative soap that goes with my color scheme.

Ears too slow? Can’t keep up? Pro tip: Turn on Closed Captions. Our body mechanics, including speech, don’t all work the same way. There’s no reason for KB to take elocution lessons, or slow her roll. I’ve been watching for over a year and have little trouble comprehending her. She’s so worth the minimal effort! Closed captions are helpful to more than the hearing impaired, although I am also that.

1st- I love your Johnathan Adler. He's a favorite of mine, too.
Ok so none of those boxes that tissues come in are ever going to look high-end. Instead, remove the tissue from them and put them in a somewhat wide mouth vase (so you can get them in there) Then pull one up, so people know where to get a tissue.

I’m Brazilian and my first language is Portuguese. Have been in the US for less than 5 years only and could understand you perfectly at 1.75x. Don’t give too much attention to all these comments. Love your suggestions for putting art in the bathroom. It is such a novel idea, we did not do that before. I know several super high end designers who put Huge canvases in the powder baths. .Please do nor be afraid. Art is better than wallpaper. Paint your bathrooms with solid color and use large scale art painted on canvas, not on paper. I t will take your space to the next level!

Speaking of shower niches or shelving, never have understood orienting them to face out into the space, thus showcasing mismatched plastic bottles as a design element. Would a small shelf unit slid into the space next to the toilet and facing away from the door not serve as both a table and more hidden storage for TP?
Hi Kiva, this is kind of unrelated, but I wanted to know if you recommend hanging curtain brackets to the ceiling instead of the wall? My wall above my window seems to have a metal or concrete lintel. I would like your take and expertise on this.
In my mini bathroom it’s impossible to put something in wall 😆 Only decoration is candle, one fake plant (no light I can not put a real one) and my tissus box cover. I have a bath tray I can put a glass on in like a small table. We can do just small things to upgrade our bathroom 💛

Poo pourie is meant to be flushed. It traps and flushes the odor. Reeds and candles mask odors
There’s a Poo Pourie that is an air and fabric spray, like the one she showed. Not the same as the toilet spray.
Folks, for those who think KB speaks too fast, do know that you can go to the settings gear icon to slow down the speech of any TH-cam video! There are varying settings to suit just about everybody! There are times I use it to speed through clips and other times to slow it down… Enjoy!

I agree with everything except the Febreeze comment. It does actually get rid of odor. It originally had no scent but people didn’t like it because even though it got rid of the bad odors it didn’t leave a clean or fresh scent behind so they added scent. So find one you like. It’s one of the few true odor removal products.

I have an acrylic on metal art piece in the bathroom.
I bought a canvas for the bathroom from Amazon for my guest bathroom. Everyone who goes in my bathroom loves it. My guest bathroom is really small. I have one of the over the toilet shelves for storage. I love the storage, but I hate trying to clean around the toilet with the legs there. So I think it’s going and I’m going to get some shelves. I’ve been looking at shelves that would fit and look nice too. I don’t have a linen closet. So I have to keep my towels on the shelves. We had some small ones in there before. But they held nothing. I don’t have any space around the sink in the vanity. Our sinks are big squares and take up all the space. I do like to decorate the bathroom. But when you have a tiny space it makes it hard.

I really like the toilet paper holders that hook on the side of the tank so it's more out of sight. And definitely the family's toothbrushes need to be separate!
