Same, I’m class of 2008 from VHS and I know how he feels. We dreamed of that moment. I’m just so glad to see that my high school made it there ✊🔥 Go CATz!!
Being raised about 2hrs north of Valdosta, that's all you would hear about in the 80s & 90s. We went down and play them once, and I mean ONCE. We never went back. I think everyone on our team got hurt. Those guys came out about 100 players deep and all had full grown beards...lol
I’m from Tifton which is a huge rival with the Wildcats. I grew up watching these guys wax the floor with every team they played. The tradition & rivalries down here in south Ga are unlike anywhere else in the world. Friday nights during the fall the whole town shuts down. Literally. Businesses shut the doors. Everyone is at the games. It’s special
i think this will be forever in peoples minds when they here MDCC but i mean its there fault they could have easily won the National Championship and got alot of people going D1 but no MD thought they need to fight the better team for there life
One of the best series I’ve seen!!! Congrats to the coaches and the kids it sticking together. Preacher is the real mvp!!! That kid is a special breed he is going to be something huge in life.
From Ohio where HS football is King. Brought back so many memories. In Ohio we do divisions by school size. I believe there are 7 school size divisions. So alot a kids get the thrill of playing in a state championship game. This was a great series and very well done. Totally enjoyed it! Tip of the hat to the NFL Network for this one!
Great seris, narrator ! I'm a huge college fb fan..go WVU , but I really got into this series. It was great watching football bring ppl of different color and back rounds together. Lol funny thing was that after I got about 2 eps into it I started noticing some names that sounded familiar. As I'm a big WVU fan I keep up with all aspects of the schools sports...including recruiting and I see that J. Rodgers and "hopefully" Z. McClain will be playing for us next year ! Go Mountaineers n Go Cats !!!!
This Was A True Documentary About Valdosta Ga Wildcats!! They could have won many championships but they would play players in the right positions!! My Son #6 was on this team since 9th grade and I mean they didn’t do nothing with him to develop him!! Yes I said it, and I had to confront the coach his junior year because they had him playing tight end when they knew and I certainly knew he was a wr naturally!! They refused to play him at wide receiver (win or not) but I was so thankful his senior year coach Pruitt became the offensive coordinator. He knew jr was the top receiver on the team and didn’t compromise for no one!! He wanted to win on offense and he did what he knew would give him the advantage to win!! Thanks Coach Pruitt!!
should be collquitt county in these film games series TV show I know I live in south Ga and played at Camden county.we use to be as good until they moved us up to 6a and now 7a went 55 straight regular season games with out losing.
you guys know how they say the backup qb could run? bro they did that just for some controversy.Lmfao in one episode hes running into his own blockers and tripping up
Valdosta High Grad class of 08’ Respect the Cats for life! Miss that life and the fans on Friday nights. Memories is all I have for now. I’m a Texan now ayyy
At 11:50 it pisses me off when people say he's trying to finish something off with a punctuation mark. Like no it'll always be finished by a punctuation mark he's TRYING to finish it off with an exclamation mark
The perspective is crazy. #4 does not convert on a drive and the play stops they say “the offense stalls” yet when #17 had a drive that goes nowhere they say “his drive did exactly what it had to do and chewed up clock” the dichotomy in how differently each player is treated is so obvious I feel so bad for the far more talented #4.
Got to play tucker in the dome that year for the first game. (Kell vs Tucker). Video doesnt give that team justice they are some big and talented guys.
I love football. I played the game, and I do understand the passion it brings out in people.... With that said, I can't possibly be the only one who finds the degree to which some of these folks (excluding players/coaches/parents) invest themselves in the exploits of high school kids... just a little creepy. Seriously... have you ever had a conversation with a teenage boy? It's pretty tough to take them seriously. They're idiots. I know. I was one.
Yea it got pretty annoying, but then slowly merge into sad and pathetic. You know he secretly roots for the other teams to win so he can spark up the conversation of how his team would never lose..the qb race thing he was blowing out of proportion too, I looked it up and in the late 80s early 90s they had a black qb 5 consecutive years and whenever one tried out that was good, he'd get the job if he won it
This must have been filmed a few years ago. Last year's 6A was Roswell and Grayson, the year before that was Colquitt and Roswell. Valdosta must have been reclassed. In 2003 their last state championship appearance was against Camden County for what was then then a very top heavy 5A Classification.
Mike, last year (and this) Valdosta was 6A. Grayson won 7A last year. Check out "2016 Chandler, AZ vs. Valdosta, GA" to see how this Valdosta team did in their final game of 2016.
Truth be told.valdosta needs to hire a coach that was brought up in the o'Brien and hyder era. Someone who knows valdosta! Until then we'll win a ring once every 18 years
i seen that valdosta is 2-5 this season any fans know why the big drop off? too many seniors graduating? I went to a school were they went 4-7 one year then 15-2 with a state championship then 2-8 the following. curious of the situation.
i'm told that's what happens often - a lot of schools aim to get a really good recruiting class for a specific year, then they have to rebuild the next year. kind of like on-off-on-off type stuff, they usually want to have a good class come through every other year (obviously, they want a good class every year, but you know what i mean. put your eggs in one basket one year, rebuild the next, then you're good to go the year after) bishop gorman for instance, i know they weren't doing as well as normal a few years ago, but they were in a rebuilding year, and did very well the next year
HomeVidEdd yeah they do, its become the norm, and now widely accepted and in most cases expected, PIAA is in meetings right now concerning that and transfer issues.
Nice show. This team did get to play one more game, in Frisco TX at the Dallas Cowboys facility stadium. Check out "2016 Chandler (AZ) vs Valdosta (GA) on youtube to see how they did. Chandler, Arizona is also a very multicultural city and team and they play pretty darn good football too.
The locker room boy is going to make it far in life.
who?
Blues Boiler They do that every game its a tradition.
Get me some pads now
Yo that kids speech in the locker room had me tearing up dawg
same!!
Me too! It gave me chills

Same, I’m class of 2008 from VHS and I know how he feels. We dreamed of that moment. I’m just so glad to see that my high school made it there ✊🔥 Go CATz!!
The dudes speech in the locker room had me wanting to strap my pads back up after 20yrs. Lol. I betta leave that alone
Its moments like that that make me miss my playing days.
I got pumped during the speech from the player
Never a quarterback issue. Josh Belton lead Valdosta to the state championship. Smart QB.
“Justin do your thing.... there we go preacher 64”
SavageFamily. Midwest fact city as run ball

Josh got a scholarship to Mississippi Delta oh no not the school that got in to a fight with Last Chance U
i think this will be forever in peoples minds when they here MDCC but i mean its there fault they could have easily won the National Championship and got alot of people going D1 but no MD thought they need to fight the better team for there life

That speech had me crying
One of the best series I’ve seen!!! Congrats to the coaches and the kids it sticking together. Preacher is the real mvp!!! That kid is a special breed he is going to be something huge in life.
So ur telling me in the state championship coaches don't know how to assign a QB Spy? Like he obviously can't pass
If you watch closely, the D defends for a running game. But there are 2 RB + the QB, there is still chance one of them gets some space
Hard to have a spy when playing against the wingt.
this is a Georgia 6a team??? god damn, back when Southlake Carroll tx played Florida they locked like D1 college players..m.
@@ovoxo5793 trust Georgia has way better teams
Justin Carter just finished his first year as a grad assistant at Olivet Nazarene University
Great to see both QB's had a hand in the final game. Congrats on the season!
What a badass series I hope NFL finds another team Like this and those the same and also cam newton was a ex prod.😂
they should film some texas teams or Florida teams
There is no color barrier in TEAM! TOGETHER WE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS! ERACISM & PREJUDICE AND LET LOVE RULE! I AM now a VALDOSTA WILDCAT ! GO CATS !

everybody underestimates Georgia football and i don’t know why, we may not be as exciting as texas or cali but we can still kick some ass
So proud of Josh and the rest of the team.
Announcer says "wide open" on every pass lol
That helps recuits

11:01 left the big guy hanging
😂😂😂
This is what the Netflix series wished it could be.
Great work NFL! Now it’s time to find another school for season 2.
It was great seeing this episodes..Good work.😎🏈
Does #64 ever play? Kid has heart and emotion but is always on the sideline.

Go Wildcats that speech
They fired Coach Rodemaker for no reason, then hired Rush Propst in 2020
I always wanted to be a Tucker tigers...still to this day I do

@@rclassic5251 that was a pleasure trip for them. They really didn't care about that game tbh... I'm talking about the Chandler game.
Tucker saw the NFL cameras and said aight cheif take this one.
Spoiler alert
I’m not gonna spoil it
lol 19:53 executive producer Cam Newton
Colquitt must have been in another conference? Anybody familiar with the area?
Colquitt is 7A. Valdosta is 6A
We went up to 7-A, Valdosta stayed in 6-A
I’d follow #64 into battle.
Truth be told.valdosta needs to hire a coach that was brought up in the o'Brien and hyder era. Someone who knows valdosta! Until then we'll win a ring once every 18 years
They need to stop playin around and hire rush propst. He wants the job! And he's more than qualified for the position.
That speech tho
It’s weird seeing a dekalb team that’s good at football
Justin carter is at vsu the preacher

what are they eating?? bacon eggs bread and junk drinks. that's insane
Did josh get a scholarship
when last chance U told me ONE thing then that Mississippi delta isn´t a place to be friendly nor to win
They next year they ended with a 4-7 record 😪
Because Hunter Holt was the quarterback.
Yea because the cave boy started 😭😭😭😭
Valdosta loses
Couldn’t beat myrtle beach
Do Hoover Alabama
Matt Riley they already made a show about hoover... years ago.
My old 12u team could win a 6a state championship.
Lol
Good no
Gg
The reason they didn’t seem to play as good in the second half was because the coach told the oc to go conservative
A shame that both teams don’t have more white players to enjoy the ride. I guess they are all attending private schools.
They have horrible system
Valdosta has the ugliest uniforms
