it's like watching an open heart surgery on your close friend, this was INTENSE
Will you ever do the 650?
What size are bolts?
On the subject of a speed limiter, a casual search reveals that the Meteor is equipped with one but they were not fitted to the Classic 350. Can anyone confirm or dispute?
limiter on my classic for sure
did i miss some thing! does not say how much power this mod makes
Hello, the dyno graph is displayed against the camshaft on our website, please see the link below:

Will these come back in stock?
Thank you for the video. Subscribed and liked.
Does anyone remember what the baseline jet settings were on the carb conversion kit for the classic 500 C5. I think it was 185 main jet and 25 pilot jet I'm just trying to confirm
Can we do the same with Continental GT 535cc
Purchased the expensive version of your crank locking tool. Just finished installing the performance cam and the longest part of the job was filing the crank locking tool until it would actually fit. Disappointing purchase. Should have purchased your cheaper version, I guess.
Anyway, happy with the performance cam!
Nicely done!
Or you do not have to upgrade these and still enjoy that beauty , the manufacturer put these for a reason right ?
Are these back in stock now?
These are due back in stock in July (we have added the video now to help owners who already have the cam).
@@HitchcocksMotorcycles Great Thanks. Can't wait to give it a whirl
@@GrampsD63as always tell us how it turns out 😊
Great idea but as many have commented, not much use as a tutorial video. Alot of the important stages filmed from end of the bench with no clear picture
Their dyno curves show a respectable gain I would like to see a third curve showing the gains with all the modifications except the new cam.
How much does the new cam add is my point
I’m impressed with Hitchcock and this is in no way meant to imply the cam isn’t effective
Thanks
camshaft resting on an aluminum track, a small failure in the lubrication system and you will need a new engine. Everything done to work out.
👍👍👍👍👍
Nice video guy's, how about doing one on the 650 thats something I would like to do to mine.😊
7:37 cool I wounder what top end speed it does.
Having read that the top speed can not be altered, and like most parts for Motorcycles today are very expensive, it seems to me you are going to spend a lot to achieve very little,
If you can do away with the speed limiter, it may be better to produce a bigger 500 cc piston / barrel conversion.
don't get the logic myself - if you want performance don't by a bike with 15hp.... You can't blame Hitchcocks, they will make money from RE owners shoving cash in their hands to supply DNA kits and cams all day long.
@@icedidi With a few hundred Dollars you can get 20% more Power. Their are several other rides who spend a lot of money on a acropovic exhaust to get almost non performance increase... And of course the small 350cc bike is not ment to go fast, but maybe you just want it to be a little faster for saver overtaking?
They went to the extra step of adding a Camera slider to move the camera smoothly but the key lighting was very poor. Too bad for us.
Anyone else curious what he’s torquing to? It’s a cool vid but hardly a follow along.
"We are just going to take out this bolt without touching that one."
Which bolts are you talking about? Your not showing us! 😢
How about a test ride
RE really should be paying these guys for saving there bikes from totally sucking, truly!
I don't get it.. why don't RE just put a better camshaft in there engine's.. they know there's an issue with performance.. or am I missing something.
@@vince6219 It's going to have to do with emissions, legalities, or warrantees.
I'm sorry to say, this is of little help as you have done a great job of hiding what you were supposed to be showing. I'm an experienced mechanic and I couldn't see half of what I'd need to know to do the job just of one video. Sorry to say, you need to do this again with the camera actually pointing at the work process.
I am sorry to say but given the EFI air and exhaust is probably not going to give any additional power, I rather watch a DYNO test pre and post crank shaft replacement on a stock bike first.
