Always enjoyable seeing friends having a good time doing interesting and "sketchy" stuff. PLUS always love seeing old Scouts! I miss my '68, it was mint and a barn find with only 35K miles. Sadly, I got laid up medically for a while and had to sell favorite things. Made a great profit, but I miss that fantastic machine. Wish I had the money today or I'd be calling Ben at 406 Garage to see what he's got for sale :)

Those Scouts are very cool, really like the one Ben fixed up. I'd have absolutely no real use for them, but it would be nice to have one just to drive to work or around the back roads sometimes.

I’m from northern Utah, but just passing through your neck of the woods Casey. So so pretty. Looked like the hoodoo ski area had some fires. Drove from Lebanon to Bend and wow was that forest awesome! South Santiam river area, so so green and lush.

I just drove through his area for the first time today. Pretty cool seeing this area in real life. Currently in Redmond on my way to Idaho.
Glade to see someone that like International Scouts as much as I. I had a 1979 Scout2 with 345 V 8 go anywhere I needed just didn't have the money to overhaul it !
Guys, you need to get the forklift further under the load, takes a lot of strain off the tines. Should be almost touching the side of the trailer before you pick it up.
Casey you guys are bringing back some good memories for me . 54 years ago I worked for my dad that had a snow plowing and maintenance business' in Buffalo NY . My plow truck was a first gen Scout . But it was a pickup truck , if you could call it that . Couple of things I remember was the 4 cylinder motor they said was a cut in half V8 . Second thing was ,I always carried a gallon of body filler and a couple rattle cans of the gold paint . That thing rusted so fast that every couple of weeks I would patch up a new hole and then a coat of paint . I am tempted to ask your friend how much a good one would cost . But then I think I must be losing my mind . Stay safe .
O and I drive that truck to Woodstock . Do not know how we ever made it home . I guess the trusty Scout knew the way .

You know the ,,sliding scale,, thing? The ,,sketchy,, part gets moved towards the limit because it worked. Please stay save. The jug can go in the water a lot of times. Finally it breaks.
Love those old scouts..They're hard to find that solid, most around here are rusted away.
A bit of confidence on the forklift,get the forklift running perfect so the hydraulics work at idle with better control .

It's his business. Buys International Harvester, fixes them up and sells them. Or a lot of them he sells just the way he finds them. Lots of people want old IH pickups, work trucks, Scouts.
Thinking about the deck height of the trailer connected to your truck, we never saw Ben's truck under it. He already raised the trailer & it was still 8" to low so that trailer must been really canted forward when he was under it. Step 1 is make it sketchy, but just a little bit, step 2, invite Casey & make it a lot sketchier. step 3, post video & see how long it takes for Ben's video!
I absolutely love those international scout I had one in my younger days and I’ve been kicking myself ever cents I sold it. So Ben I envy you for having all of them.
It does the body good to pull some sketchy stuff from time to time. Gotta get the ticker speed up. I got mine in today and I will be fine for a month or less lol.

Remember as a kid traveling in Dad's Travell-all. It was a great vehicle. I was too young to drive but I sure wanted a Scout, good to know there are still some out there.

I have never seen a car trailer operate before - pretty neat. Casey are you going to take your roll back to where Ben got his truck looked at? It probably can't be any worse than what the other people did- like keep it forever and not fix it!

I used to work for Damron/LKQ moving used auto parts. I had an 80's model Cadillac shell on a Ford F450 double rack. My forklift was 3 inches to short In height to remove it. I got it off unscathed, but it was trickey. This video reminded me of my experience

To be honest it looks like a few of those have fallen off trailers before. That's unfortunate design flaw on that trailer tail. An exposed cylinder like that is asking for trouble, good catch.

Use to unload and load equipment at a Deere Dealership have had machines in the air 10-12 feet with 2 or 3 forklifts to load or unload and one forklift operator knows to well about sketchy stuff scary when it's 3 or 4 hunted thousand dollar machines 😃

The first thing I was ever taught, regarding lifting things with a forklift; never lift anything higher than you're willing to drop it (but lift it high enough to get it loaded or unloaded). So, yes that was sketchy, but it was done safely. I would fefinitely like to see you guys haul a load of new Ferrari's!
I don't think any of those Scouts would have been hurt any more if they had been dropped off the forks.

I prefer closer to 100 mile days. If I regularly had to do 300+ miles a day I would quit trucking

Good video but I was starting to have anxiety watching Ben drive the lift, glad everything came off with no injuries
I’m surprised Ben didn’t pull the forklift closer to the scouts. Leaving the scouts further out on the forks gives them more leverage over the forklift. Ie more stress on the forks.
